Chapter 83: Bai Chenxiang's chance
The three chatted for two more hours before Xu Shuang and Ye Lingling went to their respective homes.
Once she entered her house, Xu Shuang found that the interior of the house was well maintained, not even a speck of dust was found on the furniture.
Xu Shuang roamed around the house in nostalgia since she has not been here for six whole months.
After exploring a bit, she went to the backyard where she put the portable forge that her grandfather gave to her.
"Since Chenxiang is not here yet, let's forge some things to pass the time." Xu Shuang said and she quickly set up the forge and have it reach a stable temperature.
Taking out a piece of Dark Iron the size of a human head and tossed it inside the furnace to heat it up.
Then in the next two or so hours, Xu Shuang forged a pitch-black sword, it has a black hilt connected to a hand guard that drops down on the right side.
Attached to this elongated area of the hand-guard is part of the blade, so as to better aid the user in retaining their grip on the sword when it is being used. The blade is completely black like the rest of the sword and the said blade is outlined in a light gray

"Tsk tsk, Elucidator is really handsome in the anime, and even more so when I forged it myself." Xu Shuang grinned and swung the sword a few times in the yard.
The sound of the sword slicing through the air made Xu Shuang very satisfied, just as she was about to continue playing with the sword, a shout came from outside.
"Sect Master, Chenxiang is here!"
Xu Shuang shouted for Bai Chenxiang to wait a minute and quickly went to open the door with the sword in her hand.
"Come in, Chenxiang." Xu Shuang said and went to serve some dried fruit as snacks and poured Bai Chenxiang a cup of tea.
"I wonder what the sect master wants Chenxiang to do?" Bai Chenxiang asked carefully after taking a seat.
"You don't need to be polite with me, Chenxiang, just treat me like you would a friend." Xu Shuang smiled, and she saw that although Bai Chenxiang relaxed a bit, she was still a bit tense in talking to her.
"Let's talk about why I called you here later, tell me what do you think of this sword first?" Xu Shuang asked while tossing Elucidator to Bai Chenxiang.
Bai Chenxiang caught the sword with two hands expecting it to be a bit heavy but to her surprise, the sword was lighter than she thought.
"May I use your backyard to test this sword, Sect Master?" She asked while stroking the edge of the sword.
Xu Shuang nodded and went to the backyard while Bai Chenxiang followed her closely, once there Bai Chenxiang stood in the center of the backyard after Xu Shuang removed the portable forge.
Bai Chenxiang first did a few sets of practice swings, then with the rapid circulation of her spirit power, a wind blade slowly crept up from her arm and then covered the sword.

Wind blade
It's the self-created spirit technique that the Xu clan gave to the speed clan, it's lethality depends on the quality of spirit power and level of spirit power.
It's a spirit technique that can grow with the user because the higher the level of the use the stronger the wind blade that can be used.
Coupled with the fast speed of the speed clan it shows great lethality in their hands.
Then Bai Chenxiang swung the sword a few more times, then she possessed her martial spirit as two pairs of wings popped out of her back.
Then while holding Elucidator in one hand, she condensed another wind blade in the other and then danced in the backyard using the two swords.
She then landed back on the ground after a while only to hear Xu Shuang clapping her hands and saying.
"Quite a beautiful sword dance, Chenxiang, but you shouldn't overswing your sword too much as it leaves a big gap that the enemy can take advantage of."
Bai Chenxiang cupped her hands and bowed while saying, "Chenxiang will keep the words of the sect master in her heart."
"So, how do you feel about the sword? Its name is Elucidator if you didn't know, and it can easily slice through the defense of a defensive spirit sect." Xu Shuang asked while introducing the sword. [Spirit sect is rank 40]
"Sect Master, this sword feels lighter than most of the other swords and it feels smoother when being swung, much better than the practice swords that I bought." Bai Chenxiang said as she extended both her hands to return Elucidator.
"Then you can keep it first, I'll forge another one for you later." Xu Shuang said with a smile while thinking, since Elucidator has been made, it's not fair to not make Dark Repulser right?
"This... Then Chenxiang thanks the sect master for the gift." Bai Chenxiang was about to refuse Xu Shuang when she saw the other party's smile that will definitely force this sword onto her, so she thanked Xu Shuang for the sword.
"You can just drop the sect master and just call me Sister Xu or Xuxu." Xu Shuang smiled when she saw Bai Chenxiang accept her gift, thinking that this was the perfect moment, she took out a green dandelion from her storage spirit tool
"I promised your grandfather that I would give you the chance to be reborn and be able to stand by my side as a strong man. Now it's up to you if you can really stand by my side."
"Take and absorb this fairy herb named- Dandelion Breeze, you only need to swallow all the dandelions and not the stem to fully absorb the medicinal power in the herb." Xu Shuang introduced the herb while telling Bai Chenxiang how to use it.
"Thank you, Young Miss!" Bai Chenxiang was touched and she didn't know what to say other than saying thank you.
"Go absorb this herb, I'll stay outside to protect you." Xu Shuang grabbed her hand and pulled her to the cultivation room in the center of the mansion.
Bai Chenxiang nodded and went inside the room to absorb the fairy herb and due to the nature of the room that is built with the best anti-disturb materials even if an earthquake happened the person inside the room would not even feel the slightest shake.
Going back to the backyard, Xu Shuang decided to forge Dark Repulser while waiting for Bai Chenxiang completely absorb the fairy herb.
Taking out an aquamarine-colored metal, Xu Shuang started to forge Dark Repulser so that Elucidator will not be too lonely in this new world.
