Chapter 174: A Betrayal

Emilia raced out of her room with Noel's diary clutched in her hand. As she raced down the hallway, trying to think of a way to talk to Clive, she missed the person who had just walked around the corner.

Sir Edmund Phyly caught Emilia by the shoulders when she would have fallen on the floor as she walked into him. 

Frazzled, Emilia apologised immediately and started to walk away but the older man called out, "Are you so big now that you won't even greet your mentor?"

Pausing, mid-step Emilia turned around and finally recognised the older man. Bowing, she hurriedly replied, "I am sorry, teacher. I missed seeing you."
