Chapter 250: Taken Away

Emilia sat in her office, her mind preoccupied with the day's agenda. She glanced at her schedule, only to find that her assistant had informed her of no meetings for the day. A rare moment of respite, she thought, unsure of how to occupy herself without a busy workday ahead. She needed to keep busy or she would keep worrying herself about Noel's impending return tomorrow. She had yet been unable to decide what she wanted to do. 

Just as she was pondering what to do, the door to her office burst open. Her assistant walked in followed by her security guards pushed a massive, gift-wrapped box inside. Emilia's eyes widened in surprise as she watched the guards manoeuvre the over-six-foot-tall box into her office.

Quickly, the guards bowed to her and left while her assistant handed her a note and made her escape too. Her curiosity was piqued, and Emilia could not help but wonder what it was.
