Training Ground 11
It had been a month since Team 11 passed their graduation test. The four of them had been doing D-rank missions almost non-stop since the formation of their team. Thankfully they didn't have suffer through the most dreaded mission for every genin team. Finding Tora the cat. Sure finding it took a while, but with the help of Naruto's sharingan the devil cat was always subdued easily. They had done 42 D-rank mission s over the course of the month, however today was different.
Obito had finally decided to give them all some real training since they had already gone over their team formations and completed basic chakra control exercises. Today they weren't going to do any missions because their sensei thought that his students would need some extra training before the C-rank mission that they would take later in the week. At least Satsuki and Hana would.
One thing that Obito realized early on was that Naruto was far above the level of a genin and didn't need his help quite as much. It first started when Obito began Naruto's training with the sharingan and he soon figured out that Naruto didn't need any of it. The genin was as proficient in its use as he was. After that he pretty much left Naruto to his own devices.
The three genin were standing in front of their sensei in the middle of training ground 11.
Obito's thoughts began to ponder what to teach them. 'Okay Hana doesn't really have any ninjutsu that can be used without the use of her ninken, so that's a major weakness. She excels in her clan's taijutsu, but if she doesn't have any time or room to get the techniques started then she's wide open. Her medical ninjutsu is coming along nicely though. Satsuki finally awoke her sharingan during training last week, but she still only has one tomoe in each eye. She doesn't seem all that interested in genjutsu either, which is one of the advantages of the sharingan. She'll most likely be a ninjutsu specialist with taijutsu as a backup. Naruto...I don't even know where to start. I haven't seen the true extent of his capabilities yet.'
The scarred man brought himself out of his thoughts and addressed his students, "Okay my cute little genin" the three said genin glared at him, "Today we are going to be focusing on getting you ready for a C-ranked mission at the end of the week. Hana I need to focus on you the most, so I'll start with you while Naruto helps Satsuki with her taijustu and fire nature manipulation."
Hana looked at him questioningly. "Look Hana you have a very good grasp of your clan techniques, but once you're separated from your ninken you're completely vulnerable. Also you have no ninjutsu besides what you can do with your ninken."
"So what am I supposed to learn sensei? I really haven't heard of any common ninjutsu that will air me in battle, I've always just used my clan techniques."
Obito looked down at her. "You're the medic of the team, but your taijutsu involves rushing your opponent at high speeds. A medic isn't supposed to get involved in a fight unless it is absolutely necessary. I will teach you some basic ninjutsu where you won't have to get up close to your opponents okay?"
Hana nodded and followed her sensei to the other side of the training ground, leaving Naruto and Satsuki on their own to spar and practice their Uchiha techniques.
3 Hours later
"Okay Satsuki I think that's enough today you're already exhausted." Naruto stated.
"But you haven't even broken a sweat yet and we've been training non-stop for the past three hours!" She whined.
Naruto sighed knowing it was true, "I've already learned everything we did and the purpose of all that sparring was to try to unlock your second tomoe, which we did. I will do my own training after we're done today. There's something that I've taken an interest in recently."
Satsuki grew excited at his answer, "Oohh what is it? A new Katon jutsu? Learning another element? Don't tell me you're going to try and learn a kinjutsu!"
She was coming to all kinds of conclusions after just one sentence. She had always been interested in ninjustu, but she was far too eager to learn whatever it was that she was interested in. She had only today learned her second Katon jutsu and was already wanting to learn more. 'Honestly...This girl...'
Naruto sighed once more, "No nothing like that, however you aren't ready to try something like this just yet. I'll keep it a secret for now, perhaps I'll tell you about it another time."
Satsuki pouted, but it didn't have any effect as Obito and Hana come back to the clearing. It was getting dark out, so they figured it was time to wrap up training for the day. Hana was covered in dirt, cuts, and bruises. She'd seen better days. If was obvious that Hana was exhausted and couldn't do any more training today if she tried.
"Okay that's enough training for today everyone. You can have tomorrow off to recover your chakra and get some rest, some of us look like we could really use it." Everyone looked at Hana, who could only blush in embarrassment. "But come here prepared on wednesday. We'll be going over team formations and do some light sparring before we get our first C-rank mission on thursday. You're dismissed!"
All of the members of the team soon left the training ground, leaving only Naruto behind. They all figured that he had some extra training that he wanted to get done, or a new jutsu that was too dangerous to practice with everyone there.
They were half right in their assumptions. Naruto had walked by training ground 7 today and had seen all three of his sibling practicing their summoning. They either summoned a small toad or a small slug, not all that impressive after years of holding the two contracts. Their summons didn't seem all that interesting to him, but the prospect of being able to summon an animal to aid you in battle did.
Naruto only knew the basics of summoning. First you could only summon an animal once you made a blood pact with a certain species after signing their summoning scroll. However, if you preformed the summoning when you weren't bound to specific species then you would be transported to the realm of animals that you were naturally aligned with. If you were not aligned with an summoning realm, then nothing would happen. The jutsu would not work.
Now was the moment of truth for Naruto. He performed the hand seals, Boar-Dog-bird-Monkey-Ram, then bit his thumb drawing blood and slammed it onto the ground. "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" As soon as those words were spoken, Naruto disappeared in a puff of smoke.
