Chapter 3: Chapter3

She started her day in the kitchen, where she ate alone before retiring to her own quarters.

It wasn't your standard hotel room, with a comfy bed, closet, neatly stacked chairs, and a bed.

Ella's bed was the best part about her room.

She no longer had the slightest desire to eat. This prompted her to sit down on the bed.

She spent a while staring out the window, expecting her concerns would disappear with the breeze.

There was only one person she could confide in, and that was herself.

She moved her focus from the window to the bed, where she picked up the waiting flower pot.

Yes, a flower pot was her sole companion in life.

As she gently rubbed one of the flower's bright yellow petals, a grin spread over her face.

In addition, "they wouldn't allow me dine with them at the table today - as usual," she said.

As Ella put it, "she attempted to convince them, but they wouldn't listen."

She halted and let out a long sigh.

"How come I'm the one who always has bad luck?" Her voice trembled a bit as she asked.

"I wish…. I wish someone would just tell me why I'm different from the other wolves; why, despite being a wolf, I don't have any wolf-like traits or talents. Is there a spell on me or what?"

The woman stopped and took a deep breath.

Soon after, Lisa burst through the door.

To Ella's surprise, this was a real possibility. "If you were going to enter, why did you enter so unexpectedly?" Had she already finished her meal?

Lisa's face was scrawled as she scowled at Ella, who still held the flower in her palm.

"Is anything... wrong?" Ella made up her mind to finally inquire.

Sneering, "Even if there were an issue, you are my problem," Lisa said.

Since the Alpha King has announced a *No Movement Day* for tomorrow, I've come to inform you to get ready since you'll be coming with me to the market to acquire some food supplies. Please don't keep me waiting.

So saying, she walked away.

The king of the jungle, Ella thought to herself as she examined her bloom closely.

The Ultimate Alpha, who every living creature on and around the mountain is terrified of.

She was perplexed as to why the Alpha had declared the next day to be a "No - Movement Day," during which time everyone had to remain inside but not go to sleep.

ITALIAN PALACE

As she paced the chamber, Queen Olivia's long mantua swept the floor.

She muttered an agitated, "Come on, come on" .

Her deep pants were producing a rumbling noise, and if it weren't for the boisterous sound of the guards practicing outside, she was sure they would have been heard.

She was too worried to sleep.

Natasha. Has she already given birth? Was the kid a male or a female?

She clenched her fists, remembering how she'd boasted to everyone that she was going to have the King's heir this time.

Before Natasha, Olivia was the Queen and senior wife, and Olivia's biggest adversary was Natasha.

After Olivia failed to produce a son for the King, he took other women as wife. And when Queen Natasha became pregnant, she made life very difficult for everyone in the palace.

She repeatedly informed everyone, but notably Queen Olivia, that she was expecting a son. She boasted and listed all that would happen when she gives birth to the King's heir, and Queen Olivia, being the king's current mother, was not amused.

She was the older spouse and had no intention of giving up her status or esteem. She desired to be the only bearer of the role of mother to the King's heir, giving her greater leverage when the time came for the King to choose his Luna.

The memory of Natasha's comments to her caused her pulse rate to increase.

In a few days, my kid will be here, so Queen Olivia, you had best start making preparations. When he's released and the King chooses me as his favorite, I promise you'll still get to visit him every four moons*.

The statements were accompanied by a mocking chuckle.

"No!" Olivia clenched her teeth.

She would never tolerate mockery. Never.

She was the King's confidante and would have gone to any lengths to keep it that way.

She started pacing again, and then her housekeeper came in. Hah…! There was a little gasp from her.

The servant bowed before the queen and said, "My Queen."

Olivia's interest naturally grew.

The question, "What's up, Gina?" Her eyes widened as she asked.

While she kneeling, she said, "My Queen, Queen Natasha has put to bed," and Olivia's breath suddenly caught in her throat.

It was at this point that her next inquiry that she grew visibly anxious.

Don't be shy, Leena. "You already know what I'm after," she added.

The maid took a beat to gather her thoughts before smilingly answering:

"She seems to be feminine."
