Devon's handsome face was illuminated under the spotlight. In his cream-coloured attire, he looked like an angel who landed on earth, just to turn my life upside down.

I gulped in as my throat turned dry the moment our eyes met.

-"I want you to attend that function and recieve that award. I would ask you what I want that night but you have to give me your word that you will not deny whatever I will ask from you."-

His words from the past rang in my ears.

What was he planning?

"Mr Devon Sanders! I think you want to say something." The host said over the mike in his hand.

My fingers turned cold. I wanted to step down the stage and run away from that handsome monster. But I knew that this interruption was because of me.

He stood up to his full height, and my heart skipped a beat. Definitely not only because of anticipation!
