It was past midnight by the time we reached Devon's penthouse, and if I said that the place looked different then it wouldn't have done justice to how pretty it looked.

The moment I stepped inside the living room, my nostrils got hit with the blast of soft, sweet fragrances that came from the scented candles and numerous flowers arranged beautifully all over the place.

The soft yellowish lights gave that comfortable and cosy look to the place that I liked very much. I noticed that a few things were also changed, and I remembered planning it all with Devon.

"Didn't we decide to renovate our home together?"

Wow! OUR HOME!

It sounded so strangely good to hear and say that it naturally brought a bright smile to my face.

"That's what we have done. You planned and picked up the designs and I implemented your ideas." Devon shrugged while taking off his suit jacket.
