Chapter 7: Simulation Hunting
Magnus opened his eyes. The white space around him is long gone and his surroundings changed into a forest. The forest is green with big and small trees. Right now Magnus is standing atop the cliff of the mountain in the middle of the forest. From there as far as his eyes can reach there's only green. This is the simulation world's forest world simulation. This entire world is simulated in order to give Magnus the feelings of a hunter. The simulation world right now has the size of as far as he can see. But if he moves there the simulation also auto generates the area and entity for him.
There are various biomes living here. From S rank beast to F rank beast. Many kinds of birds and normal animals are also available in this jungle. The forest is filled with many kinds of creatures, mythical to divine. There are insects that are normal while there are insects that can kill you within a second. There are various plants, from fruit to poisonous ones.
At this moment everything in this jungle is an enemy to him and everything can kill him. Before Magnus entered the simulation he created another of his personas and tasked it to cultivate. That way when he is training his bow techniques, his main body will also cultivate. He could create another persona who can start doing his Magnum Opus Part 2 body strengthening cultivation. But he decided to hold it for now before he breaks free from level 10.
Magnus took out the bow and 10 arrow from his rings. As everything here is realistic even the tiny details such as this is also added by his mind.
From the top the started to scan his surroundings for pray and soon he found a bird in the sky. It's a sort of eagle looking but it's entire body is in fire.
"Fuck! The first thing I find is a fire phoenix varient."
As all the animals here are from the memories so they all have real life varient. This particular bird is from a world where once a fire phoenix clan lived. As a result some varient species are born and when the phoenix clan left that world their varient species became the dominant in that world.
An average adult fire phoenix varient is about level 50 to 70.
But this one is at level 10 clearly a child. But it still has all the fire phoenix telent and core ability.
While Magnus is thinking the bird noticed Magnus from above and quickly shifted it's diraction. It started flew towards Magnus with a ferocious gaze as if it's looking at it's morning breakfast.
Magnus on the other hand prepared his bow. He quickly pull the string with an arrow and aimed towards the bird. He started remembering the basics of the Assassin's of darks bow bow technique.
The bird started to close in and when the distance between them is about 15 meters Magnus realised the string. The arrow shoot towards the birds at a very high speed. But just before it hit the bird the bird dodget the arrow. The arrow flew past the bird with a narrow margin.
The bird looked at Magnus with a surprise look but before it could realize in that short time the bird was distracted Magnus quickly shoot another one at the bird. This time bird didn't have enough time to dodge and the arrow hit the birds chest.
Fire in his body started to burn with more intensity as the blood that came out of the wound started to evaporate instantly.
"His angry. But it doesn't matter. Because I am the one who will have the last laugh." Saying that Magnus started shooting more arrow.
Some were dodged by the bird while many hit it's body. But because of the fire the damage is very little.
Magnus started to change position. He started to shoot the bird while running so that it can't get close to him.
The bird on the other hand tried to ram into Magnus three times but missed him.
The fight became intense as Magnus changed his strategy. He realised that the intense fire started to get dimer and dimer with each second. That's means the bird is becoming exhausted and he can no longer keep up with the fire.
Soon the bird became completely exhausted as the last fire in his body vanishes. Magnus then shot three consecutive shots which landed on the bird's chest penetrating it's heart.
"Damn beast. You finally died."

Magnus started to hunt in the forest ground. There are lot of bow hunting techniques that are used my Assassin's of the Dark. But one of the most beloved and powerful techniques he always used is called The way of Sniper.
It's not Snipers are a new thing. Every archer can become a sniper. But a true sniper is a different thing. Assassin's of the Dark is a mysterious figure in the world. He lived among common people as a common man disguise. Is way of sniping is that you first need to embrace your surroundings and become a part of the surrounding it self.
Then you track down your prey and see it's pattern, how it moves, how it behaves. After that you aim. You aim at his head. Not any part of the body but head.
At this moment Magnus is aiming his bow at a Lightning Tiger. His arrow head is pointed right at the back of the tigers head. He's been like this for almost 15 minutes. In front of his aim when he saw the tiger set down and close his eyes, Magnus started released his arrow. The arrow swiftly pierced through the back of its head and came out of his eyes.
Tiger quickly jumped up from its sleep. Even though it got hit it's still able to move. Soon it's started to scan it's surroundings. But it never found Magnus. As Magnus is well hidden atop the tree. It tried to search for more but soon the bleeding injury started to weaken it. As it was on his last breath Magnus aimed for his head again. The arrow pierced its head again but this time the tiger never managed to stand up as it died instantly.

Magnus hunted down around 1000 low rank beast that day. He soon started to grasp the overall power of the bow and arrow.
One the other hand outside of the simulation Magnus's body is covered by a thick cloud of Qi. Periodically some of the Qi enters into Magnus's body. His body started to fill with the Qi and the access amount Qi is soon absorbed by every cell of his body. Which in result increasing each cells power. Bit by bit his level started to increase.
At the beginning of the day it was level 5 but now it already broken to level 7. Although it takes time for a cultivator to break each level but sometimes when a cultivator has a very high grade root he can break level easily and very with faster.
The process continued untill the next day came. Magnus opened his eyes and checked his bodies condition.
"Woa! Would you look at that? Level 9 in one night." Magnus exclamated.
But he soon realised that he's hungry because he didn't ate a single thing for a day. He quickly cooked some rabbit stew with bland things that he picked up in the forest. After eating the meal he stood up and packed everything. He put out the fire and cleaned the cave as it was never being touched and then he left the place.

Elsewhere millions of miles in a bustling city. The city is like a fantasy land as all kinds of high rise towers stand tall in that city. Big and small flying vehicle is flying in the sky. On one of the top floors of a luxurious high-rise, a middle-aged man with light facial hair and brown hair stood on his balcony. He gazed down at the busy city below, watching as people bustled about their daily routines.
From his vantage point, the man saw the endless stream of individuals coming and going, each one with their own unique story and purpose. As he looked out over the cityscape, there's a certain expression in his face which is hard to tell by a simple look. It's like what this man is thinking nobody ever knew.
He is Arthur Rackham. The Patriarch of the Rackham family one of the oldes families of the Iron Empire.
While he was contemplating about who knows what the door behind his balcony pushed open hurriedly. A mature middle aged women came out of the door and stand behind Arthur.
Noticing that someone came Arthur wanted to ask something but before he could speak,
"David died. "
Arthur didn't reveal any emotions in his voice nor in his face he just replied with a simple, "Hmmmm".
