I couldn't describe what I felt when I got the news of Fire gone missing. My heart beat just like it had when Sam's people kidnapped her right in front of my eyes.

And it again beat the same way when... the truth of our dark past was revealed to her. I thought... I had lost her... forever!

If only I had not been acting like a pure jerk pretending that I didn't care about her at all, then I would have buried Gabriel six feet under the ground for his carelessness.

He had one thing to do- keep an eye on her!

And yet, she was attacked for the sixty-seventh time in the past two years. He and Cameron thought that it was only the twenty-fifth because before the remaining attacks could come to reality, I crushed them right under my feet!

I promised Fire to leave this dark world, but what would she think when she would get to know how tall of a mountain of dead bodies I had to climb, just to keep her safe?!
