Chapter 465: Chapter 465: No Star (2)

|For the next 2 days, I may just opt for 2 short chapters as Christmas specials in chapter 0, I just don't have time to write in bulk beforehand and write during those days, if you have some Q&A about certain characters, ask it here, ask several of them and I'll answer them the best I can or force my sla- I mean my characters to answer them personally.|

Perseus POV

I used to gauge my abilities by the stars shimmering within me. They were a reflection of my mana, each representing a level of my mana, which helps evaluate how powerful a person really is. But now, they've vanished, leaving behind an emptiness every time I opened the palm of my hand.

It's not absence that fills me, but a different kind of presence, a celestial body formed of mana itself. I can feel it coursing through my veins, it's as if I've become a vessel of pure mana, it feels good, my body feels healthier somehow, it's hard to describe the feeling.

I sense it around, the pure mana that is so much harder to extract by regular mortals, the magic that only a god can use, it's connecting everything. It's in the rustling leaves, the dancing flames, and the shimmering waters. The celestial mana intertwines with the fabric of existence...it was...blissful.

"The mana...it's quite...intoxicating." Maple commented

"Really?" I asked and walked closer to her, "What about now?"

"This must be the trickster's ability."

"Yup, if I want, I can steal a person's underwear without them even knowing, this is awesome, I can steal anything, and I can force anyone to do anything. Anyway, go tell everyone that I'm safe, I want to show up to God in my new more powerful form, scare them a bit."

"Shouldn't this get really old by now?"

"Nope...because...the abilities, all of them have merged together, there is no longer a Lucifer, no longer a Satan, and no longer a Loki...but this power is that of Perseus Silver, cool, right?"

I've shed the old identities and embraced this amalgamation of powers, this culmination of all my abilities. It's a power that bears my name, my essence, how cool is that? I've rewritten the rules, forging a path that's uniquely mine, a force that embodies everything I stand for. This is me, and this power? Well, it's all me.

No longer confined or defined by separate entities, I stand as an embodiment of this singular, all-encompassing force, the embodiment of 'me.' It's a metamorphosis that transcends previous limitations, rewriting the narrative and creating a path that is uniquely my own.

I can't be compared to the other Perseus just yet...but this...hah, I can take an arm if I try really hard.

"Please stay away from me." Maple said

Maple's reaction caught me off guard. The potency of my enhanced Loki's power was unforeseen, a surge that seemed to affect those nearby more intensely than I'd anticipated. I then leaned in and kissed her, she didn't resist at all.

"Hey, I told you to stay away." she exclaimed as she pulled away but I held her in front of me and not letting her go, "If you keep doing this, I'm going to get pregnant."

"I don't think that that's how it works."

"Well, it will if this keeps on going."

"Hmm?"

"Please...I'm going to tell the others!" she warned and it fell on deaf ears

"Didn't you see my Lilith smile?"

"I'm really going to tell, one of Lilith's reasons for joining Leilah is because she wanted to protect me, I'm going to tell her if you keep teasing me."

"Go ahead, Buddy, please go first and tell my parents."

3rd Person POV

Phineas returned to the base several days earlier and no one found out about his absence, well, apart from God, who watched his every movement, and that included through his own eyes, but he trusted God enough to not tell Cain as the conflict between his direct servant and a temporary acquaintance are for them to solve on their own.

Days went by quietly for the next couple of days, it felt too tranquil amidst the chaos of war. Despite the losses suffered and the battles waged, an unsettling silence lingered, hanging heavy in the air like a prelude to an impending storm. The calm before the storm.

Tensions simmered beneath the surface as they braced for the storm that seemed inevitable after the unnerving quietude. Whispers among them spoke of an ominous calm before an impending cataclysm, a moment of false peace in the midst of relentless turmoil.

Phineas used this time to help spread the news of the bounty on Phineas' head among his most loyal companions.

They shall be leaving Cain open for the heroes to charge in and kill him, whether it's possible or not, he does not know, but he's willing to test the limit of Cain's immortality.

Then, abruptly a soldier burst into the command tent, breathless and wide-eyed.

"Phineas! Perseus-" he then caught his breath, "He's here, the presence earlier is coming from him!"

Phineas rose, his eyes widening in disbelief at the news. Rushing out into the open, he scanned the horizon, only to witness an extraordinary sight that defied all logic. There, amidst the ruins of a crumbling fortress, stood Perseus, bathed in the light of the setting sun.

He perched upon a broken wall, strumming a guitar with an otherworldly melody that echoed across the battlefield.

The song held a sorrowful yet empowering resonance, its notes laced with an otherworldly charm that softened the hearts of warriors and commanders alike. Even amidst the looming threat of battle, his presence on that crumbling wall, singing with an unearthly allure, brought an unexpected momentary pause from soldiers on both sides.

As the last echoes of the song faded into the evening air, a profound silence descended upon the battlefield. The soldiers, momentarily entranced, exchanged bewildered glances, shaken by the unexpected tranquility that had graced the war-torn landscape.

"Autographs, anyone?" Perseus asked with a bright smile
