Chapter 38: He Enjoyed Annoying Her

God created man in his image. However, Zoe was sure that some other people were created specially, with finer tools and careful attention to perfection. That was the thought that came to her mind when Gabriel walked into the living room. 

And like a moron, her mouth dropped open as she took him in. The man was deadly handsome, she had to give him that. Gabriel had his hair brushed back and that served to accentuate his high cheekbones and strong jawline that was stubble free. His hair was wet and so appealing to the point that Zoe was tempted to go up to him and run her hand through his hair. 

Dear Jesus, she must have finally lost her mind. Zoe was appalled at the kind of thought running through her mind. How could she think that? Even at that, her eyes greedily took in the rest of him and Gabriel was wearing a classy black turtleneck top and gray pants beneath his khaki trench coat.
