Chapter 1: Gluttonies Embodiment
On the world of Shino-23 B, in the continent of the human empire Destine, resides an orphan boy.
Inconspicuous and unknown. This boys name was Fannum, he was only ten, yet his parents abandoned him just after he was born.
It's unknown how Fannum was able to survive as a baby, alone in the slums. He did not have any recollection of a care taker, but it's not like he could dwell on those thoughts.
Fannum was too busy trying to stay alive, a 10 year old boy was an easy target in the slums, after all. He was too young to fight and could only scavenge for food.
Though as a result of his scavenging he would often be beaten. And this time, it was the worst of all.
He was not only beaten, but also stabbed and left for dead, left for the stray dogs and rats to eat his festering corpse. For the other bums in the slums to rob his body of what was left.
Fannum did not want to die like this, weak, pathetic, and unknown. He had always hated the world due to his life standards. After all, he had gone through a torturous seven years of life.
He couldn't remember his infantile to toddler life. It was only when he turned four that he was really conscious of himself. And he would never forget some of the things that he had to do, and some of the things that were done to him, in order to survive in the slums.
Due to his experiences in the slums, Fannum viewed all creatures as vile existences, needing to be destroyed. But most of all he hated humans, humans were the primary cause of his suffering. And not only his but others.
Fannum had friends, patchwork family's, and had seen others who had all suffered due to the plague that is humanity.
Though this hatred seemed to be unfulfilled, as Fannum could only curse humanity in his last moments.
'You bastards, you better hope I don't become a ghost! Or I swear I'll hunt all of you! I'll become your nightmare!" Fannum thought.
'Damn, I can feel it. I'm slipping…' Fannum noticed his fading consciousness.
"Boy?"
'Huh what was that? Shit, I'm really hearing things.'
"Boy?!"
'Ok that's definitely real, what's this ass want? Can't a guy die in peac…'
That's when Fannum froze, not out of choice, but from fear and pressure. He felt a ravenous energy emanating from his left. The likes of one he's never felt before.
"wha…what'd you want" Fannum exclaimed, still unable to see the individual
"Nothing in particular BOY. I'm just curious about something." The now distorting voice proclaimed.
After the voice stopped talking Fannum sensed something approaching him. He recognized it as the ravenous energy. Soon the energy started to collapse on him.
'Hey wait! What are you doing?! Stop it!' Fannum innerly protested, though to no avail as he soon felt the foreign energy enter his body.
'Hmm… this is enough, he has more than enough! Hahahaha, this is great. He will be my inheritor. The one who will destroy all and everything.' The gluttonous energy exclaimed.
'This boy has a capacity to perfectly posses the power of gluttony.' The gluttonous energy thought.
"Listen hear boy, and listen closely. I am gluttony, a power that can and will consume all. After an inspection, I have come to the conclusion that you have enough hate inside of you to consume everything!" The distorted voice proclaimed.
'What is this bastard talking about?! Gluttony, power, consume all? This thing does know I'm about to die right' Fannum questioned the mental ability of this now completely distorted voice.
Suddenly, Fannum started feeling a searing pain. and though at first it hurt and was annoying but he didn't mind it too much. But then, the pain turned from an annoyance to hellish pain that made Fannum feel like he was melting in lava without dying. This overwhelming pain should have brought him to unconsciousness but did not, so all Fannum could do to let out his frustration and agony was scream.
"ahhahhhaahh!" Though due to his state all that came out was the groans and rough sounds of a person in agony.

CluelessTurtle So, this is my first time attempting to write a novel. Besides one halfassed time that I had. I'm hoping to push this novel in a direction where the MC is Evil. so for those of you that don't enjoy that, then this is not for you. Also this book is going to be EDGY so beware. And though the mc is going to be edgy he is going to have relationships, so don't worry on that front.
