Chapter 70: Chapter 70 - Kushina's tears.

[Chapter Size: 2200 Words.]

Third Person POV

Konoha, Year 36.

...

...

Minato, instead of choosing the stairs, jumped out of the window and started climbing up the side of the academy building, the girls did not lag behind and followed him. He landed on the edge of the building and reached the top where Jiraiya was already waiting for them, sitting. Mikoto and Hanabi joined Minato, sitting in front of their new sensei, while he had an excited smile on his face.

"Come on, come on! Make yourselves comfortable before we start," he said, clapping his hands.

Seeing the genins sitting down, he continued, "I want each of you to introduce yourselves now, tell me your likes and dislikes along with your dreams for the future," Jiraiya spoke.

"Why don't we start with you, sensei?" Minato said, he was basically living that Naruto scene with other people and in another time.

"Hm? Ah yes, let me tell you, My name is Jiraiya and one of the students of the current Hokage. I'm a literary lover, I like to write my books and do my research," Jiraiya spoke in a quite perverted tone, while the girls were disgusted by this guy and Minato rolled his eyes. "I don't like getting beaten by Tsunade or losing to Orochimaru, my dream is to become a world-famous writer and complete my life mission," he said now in a dreamy tone. "Now it's your turn," he requested.

Minato nodded and took the initiative. "I am Minato Namikaze, I like to train and be with people I like, I hate losing or feeling weak or incapable," he said, about the latter, it was the main reason for Minato spending his last years spending most of his time in training. "My dream is to become a powerful ninja, live with those I love, and become the greatest of the Hokages," he said with a smile, since he did not only aim to be the Hokage, it was to become the greatest as if he already knew he would wear the hat one day. Jiraiya raised an eyebrow but nodded in satisfaction, while the girls looked at Minato with curiosity at these words. "Now you girls, do the same as Minato."

"I am Mikoto Uchiha," Mikoto began keeping a neutral tone. "I like to train and spend time with my friends... I don't like losing and people controlling me. My dream is to become a powerful Kunoichi and control my destiny," she spoke leaving Hanabi next to her curious, since this was the same dream as hers, albeit in a different way.

"Very well, next," Jiraiya spoke and Hanabi started this time. "I am Hanabi Hyuga, I like good food and training, I don't like being underestimated and feeling weak, my dream is like Mikoto's, to control my destiny," she spoke.

"That's good, now with our introductions..." Jiraiya began and went back to speaking. "Let's talk about your test."

"Test?" Mikoto asked. "Didn't we already go through a test yesterday?"

"That's true, however, there's a secondary test and if you don't pass, you'll go back to the academy," he said and Minato just stayed silent, he knew that everyone in this class would pass their teacher's tests, they wouldn't spend years consuming great resources from the village to fail in the end.

"Anyway," Jiraiya continued. "I want to see you tomorrow at training field 7, at 5 in the morning. Remember, don't eat anything, it's going to be quite unpleasant for you if you're full," Jiraiya spoke and the girls exchanged looks. Jiraiya used the Instantaneous Displacement Technique with wind style and disappeared being surrounded by a whirlwind and left the kids alone.

"That was quick..." Mikoto murmured.

"We have a test tomorrow, what do you think Minato?" Hanabi took the initiative in asking.

"We have to take this test, but anyway, you should eat, this teacher will surely make us go hungry," Minato commented already knowing the test, then he would share the best tip. "I'm going to train, so I hope to see you tomorrow," Minato said wanting to leave.

"Okay... see you tomorrow, then," Mikoto spoke and Hanabi nodded.

Minato used the Raijin, disappearing silently in front of the girls and appeared in another corner of the village, he landed on the buildings and began jumping roofs going to the Senju clan. It didn't take long for him to find the entrance, where Tsunade was talking with Tsuna.

"Minato?" Tsuna looked at him appearing with surprise while Tsunade raised an eyebrow.

"Hello, I came to see Kushina..." He said scratching his head.

Tsuna bit her lip. "Kushina is with the great-grandmother, I think it's not possible now..." She spoke and Minato sighed.

"Alright, I'll come back later..." He said and disappeared.

"That brat! What did he use now?" Tsunade was alarmed by Minato's disappearance.

"He learned the technique of the great-granduncle..." Tsuna commented, looking where Minato had been just a second ago.

"So he learned that technique! That brat..." Tsunade had to admit that Minato was impressive, after all, she knew the technique and was aware that no one else could execute it after the Second Hokage died, so she was quite impressed with the boy.

Going back to where Minato had teleported, he landed on the southern coast again, since he couldn't do much, he was hoping to speak with Kushina soon but would have to wait until that moment.

Guren was training beside the beach, "Hello Guren!" He announced.

"Hello, Minato!" The fish greeted him.

Minato spent the rest of the afternoon training the Rasenshuriken and perfecting the technique. He continued training for hours until the day was finally coming to an end, "I'm leaving. Guren, see you later," He said.

"Yes, I will continue training!" The fish spoke, and Minato looked at him with a question in his head. "You're always here... don't you go back to your clan?" He asked.

The carp looked at him for a while before answering, "We can't return to the clan before we're old enough to pass through the sacred waterfall. We go out to experience the world and become stronger, when we reach a certain age, we return to the clan, depending on how we fare in the sacred waterfall, we either go to another place after passing it or stay in the clan if we fail," He said, and Minato nodded.

"Is your clan far from here?" He asked.

"Yes! Very, very far! In other lands from here," The carp spoke.

"I see..." Minato murmured although he didn't know what that meant, he knew there could be other continents beyond the elemental nations in this world, despite when he had seen in the original work, he hoped one day to learn more about this world if possible.

"Anyway, I'm going, goodbye." Minato bid farewell after he recovered a bit of his chakra to return to the village and disappeared after the carp bid him goodbye.

He returned to the village and first went to take a shower in his apartment, he put on basic black clothes and teleported near the Senju clan, which had some of his seals hidden around the village, Minato arrived at the clan and was received by a servant.

"Lady Kushina went out, saying she wanted to take a walk," The servant spoke as soon as Minato asked about the girl, he nodded thinking where Kushina could be and looked towards the Hokage statues, he had a seal implanted on that of Hashirama, then using his teleport, he appeared at the location.

It was night at this moment, and he encountered a view of the village illuminated with its lights from the houses and businesses, an image that he came to see from time to time, but this time the scene was painted with a girl kneeling at the tip of the head of the First Hokage while covering her knees with her arms.

Minato could feel her sadness with his Haki, he sighed and spoke, "Kushina." He said, and the girl was startled by his presence, looking at him alarmed while Minato could see her tears in her eyes.

"Minato!" She exclaimed while quickly trying to wipe her tears away.

"Kushina... how are you?" He asked a stupid question, of course, she wasn't okay, but he had to start this conversation somehow.

"I... I'm fine!" Kushina spoke, turning away immediately.

Minato just walked up to the girl and sat beside her, the girl seemed to shrink with this... He ended up choosing not to break this silence, waiting for her to do it, as he didn't want to force her to open up.

They continued looking at the village beside the girl. Until 5 minutes later, he heard Kushina's voice, "I... will I be stuck in the village for the rest of my life?" She commented with a broken voice.

"..." Minato remained silent and Kushina continued.

"You know... before I went to class to see who would be my sensei, now that I'm a genin, I was told I couldn't go. Mito told me she needed to talk to me, do you know what she told me? She told me I couldn't become a kunoichi with a team. That my role was different, then I found out that I will be the next Jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails!" She yelled while there were tears in her eyes.

Kushina's tears flowed. "I always found it strange that I was sent to this village, away from the Land of Whirlpools, far from my clan. But no one ever told me the real reason, they just said that I would be Mito's student and her heir, but today I found out what kind of heir I will be, I'll have a fox inside me through a seal!" She said, crying.

She cried for a while and continued as Minato just listened to her frustrations in silence. "Mito said that I wouldn't be able to leave the village, that I have a great responsibility towards the village. I don't want a bijuu inside me, I wanted to leave... I wanted to be with you..." She said, looking at Minato with sad eyes.

Minato looked at her for a while, before taking her hand, maintaining his calm and assured expression, a simple but significant gesture. "Kushina," he began, his voice firm but gentle, "the future might seem scary now, and I understand how you feel. But you're not alone in this. I'll be with you, no matter what happens."

He paused, giving her time to absorb his words. "And as for what Mito said... Yes, it might be your fate to be the jinchuuriki of the Kyuubi, but that doesn't define who you are. You are much more than a vessel for the Kyuubi. We might not be together, but I'm not going away. I know we're at war and soon we'll be dispatched to the battlefield, but I will return soon."

"Regarding being stuck in the village... We'll find a way. And even if you have responsibilities here, that doesn't mean you can't live the life you wish for. Let's work together to ensure you can be a kunoichi, explore the world, and still protect the village. You're strong, Kushina, and I believe in you."

He turned to look at the village below them, the soft moonlight illuminating their faces. "Look, this village, our lives here, it's all a part of us, but it's not all that we are. We have the power to shape our destiny, Kushina. And I promise, I'll be by your side, supporting you every step of the way and I'll protect you with all my strength."

Kushina watched him the entire time, even though her face was still wet with tears, her eyes stopped shedding them, listening to all of Minato's words. "Do you really think so? Will you be by my side and not abandon me?" She asked with a trembling voice, she had heard of the fate of jinchuurikis, always rejected and isolated, she feared losing the people she considered her friends, she feared losing the boy she loved, that he would reject her as soon as he knew of her condition, but Minato had warmed her heart with those words.

"Of course not, silly girl, I'll even beat up that fox if it ever bothers you." Minato gave a small smile, eliciting a small laugh from the girl.

He looked at her forehead and saw that it was bare, "Aren't you wearing your village headband?" He asked as the girl murmured.

"I don't like it... since it was getting it that I ended up losing everything..." She murmured.

"Close your eyes." Minato requested, and Kushina, curious, did so, and when she opened them, Minato was no longer wearing the headband on his forehead, he had placed it on Kushina.

"What are you...?" She was going to ask, but Minato just smiled.

"This is my proof that you will always be someone I'll protect, I want you to keep my headband then, you are a kunoichi of the Leaf Village and being a jinchuuriki or not, I will always be by your side and won't let anyone hurt you." Minato spoke with determination.

Kushina looked at him while tears of joy streamed down her face, and Minato couldn't react when she attacked him, kissing him intensely on that stone above the village.
