Chapter 2: Birth?

Lucia could feel nothing but pain. She begged for the sweet release of death in her mind and suddenly just as fast as the pain had started it stopped and instead a feeling of unimaginable calmness washed over her. She tried opening her eyes but coudn't. She began panicking and attempting to wiggle her limbs but she could not feel anything. She kept attempting to move and sscream but no sound came out of her throat, she felt drowsy as though she had exhausted all her energy and fell asleep.

Later on when she awoke she initially panicked but tried her best to calm down although her rampaging thoughts rumbled in the background. She tried to think calmly about what happened and what could have led to this situation but no matter how she thought she could only remember suddenly feeling unimaginable pain and then shortly after the pain stopping leaving her here.

'I hope my babies are all right' she thought somberly. Ever since Lucia was a young girl she had been pationate about snakes. Their long smooth scaly bodies and their witiness fascinated here. When she moved out of her parents house she basically turned her home into a snake haven, she disliked keeping them in their atriums so although it was required by the law for them to be present she always never bothered putting them inside.

She shared a connection with each and everyone of hher snakes and she loved them dearly and treated them as though they were her children. Sometimes she felt as though she could understand them but of course that is merely nonsense. Thinking about her snakes something seemed to click deep inside her as she felt some sort of... Resonance? The feeling soon stopped but she wondered what that feeling was.

Scene Break

'How long has it been?' She felt it had been at least a month of her just being in this infinite darkness and although she had tried averything she had not yet managed to move and although she was calmer now than at the start she was starting to fear she would stay here forever.

Aproximately a week later...

'I felt it!' Lucia tried again and indeed she could feel the slightest bit of wiggling. She couldn't yet detect where on her body it was coming from. This new feeling of movement although slight was intoxicating to Lucia as she spent all her waking hours attempting to move.

3 days later

Lucia was worried. Very worried. The hope that had been borught from the feeling of finally being able to move again was dampened by this new discovery. No matter how much she tried. She couldn't seem to do more than wiggle her body. She could not feel her limbs. Her body also felt longer now that she could feel it but that is most probably due to her being enstranged from it for so long. 'Were they forced to amputate my limbs?' Her thoughts were becoming more chaotic by the day and she was beginning to panic again.

Another week later

'Time for another wiggle session...' She had put aside her slowly spiralling thoughts and instead decided to concentrate on wiggling in an attempt to regain control of her body. No matter how much she tried she could not keep her panic at bay as she felt angry at being trapped and unable to feel her body. She fueled her anger into one particularly strong wiggle which unexpectedly hit some sort of wall and generated a resounding *Crack*. Lucia froze 'What was that..? Am I in some sort of testube? Can I escape and get out of here?!' She redoubled her efforts. Each wiggle generating a crack of its own. 'I can do this... Come on.. Gods of wiggling bless me!' She gave one particularly strong wiggle finally propelling her through the sides of her prison. She landed heavily 'Is that.. Grass? Am I finally out of whatever that was?' She tried opening her eyes only for her to shut them instantly in pain 'ouch.. Am I not accustomed to the light anymore? Well that makes sense... Let's try again' She opened her eyes again and closed them almost as fast. She repeated this process a few hundred times until she could maintain her eyes open for almost 5 seconds.

'Finally... Now let's see where am I?' She opened her eyes and looked around 'Why is everything Green and Blue?! Are those trees? Why are they so tall. Kind of hard to tell where I am when everything is in one of two colors?' She glanced down at her body and froze before shutting her eyes and breathing heavily to calm her growing panic. 'Calm down Calm down Calm down... There's no way you looked down at yourself and saw any kind of.. Serpentine features right?' She risked a glance and shut her eyes quickly again and began hyperventilating 'Why? What's going on? I'm a s-snake... Wait a minute... I'm a snake' Her eyes snapped open and she glanced down at herself momentary excitement drowning out her panic. 'My scales are white? What am I.. An albino snake? I can't tell how big I am... Wait a minute..' She looked at where her prison was and sure enough... 'An egg... I was just born out of an egg... A singular infant snake in a forest... Shit' She decided to ignore her growing fear and instead attempted to move by wiggling her body 'This isn't working.. I look more like a worm than a snake...'

She tried remembering how her babies used to move and slowly managed to move a few centimeters forwards 'Nice, I can move. How big am I? If I look at this egg assuming I'm about the size of the egg in length I should be about 15 centimeters? That's on the larger end for infant snakes I think?'

She continued getting used to slythering around and slowly tried getting accustomed to the moment instead of facing her still growing feelings of aprehension and fear. After a few minutes of movement 'Okay I kind of have the hang of movement... I wonder if I'm a constrictor or-'
