Chapter 278: True Timeline

"Be it history, culture, customs, etc., everything is no different from what existed on the earth I reincarnated into or the earth before I reincarnated."

In one of the internet cafe rooms, Akira stared at the computer screen with a helpless expression.

First of all, he gathered information.

He found his ATM card couldn't be used. Luckily, he had five 10,000 yen notes in his wallet.

Because his cellphone couldn't connect to the internet network, Akira chose to go to an internet cafe to gather information instead of using wifi in public places.

After all, internet cafes in Japan are not just places to use computers and the internet, but offer luxurious services and facilities. For example, dozens of shelves full of manga, all you can drink, and cheap.

For Akira who has a limited budget, he can use an internet cafe as a place to stay for a while.

After surfing the internet for three hours, he found out this was not Tokyo City, but Tokai City located in Aichi Prefecture.

Not only that, Akira was also surprised to find out that the calendar showed October 11 2019.

That was two years ahead of his world!

"It's not necessarily a different world, there's a possibility that I was thrown into the future. This is just my wild speculation because I couldn't contact Skadi and Chamber. Anyway, I have to go to Tokyo to verify in person."

"If I really am in another world, why modern Japan? Isn't the protagonist usually summoned to another world that has a medieval civilization with swords and magic?"

Thinking about this all caused Akira a headache. Previously, he had left a new mark, and rubbed [Hiraishin no Jutsu] and it worked.

It proved there was nothing wrong with [Hiraishin no Jutsu], but Akira couldn't feel the mark it left behind. This strengthens the speculation that he is in another world or parallel world.

"Arhhh... Why am I experiencing all this?! I just want to live in peace and quiet, is it so difficult?"

After venting his frustration, Akira began to calm down.

"Sigh... This cramped place only makes my chest tight, it's better to get some fresh air."

Since he had booked this room until tomorrow, he left his school bag here, locked the door, and left the internet cafe.

Looking up at the sky, the weather was clear without clouds, pedestrians were not too busy because it was still working hours.

Akira who was still wearing his school uniform, looked like a student who had skipped school.

"Sigh~ So this is what it's like to be an illegal immigrant." He sighed.

Even though they have an identity card, they are not registered in the state civil registry. In fact, he is an illegal immigrant without an identity.

"Hey, you, why aren't you at school."

While thinking about his future plans, Akira did not notice the arrival of the police on bicycles.

"Tsk, today is really unlucky."

Clicking his tongue, Akira ran away.

"Wait!"

The policeman pedaled his bicycle in pursuit. When he turned left, he did not find the figure of the young man he was chasing.

"Hah? Where is that person?"

After looking around, the policeman gave up and continued his patrol. Not long after, Akira jumped over the wall of the house and landed on the sidewalk.

"Bother."

Then, he continued wandering aimlessly.

He had left a [Hiraishin no Jutsu] sign near the internet cafe, so Akira didn't worry about getting lost.

Following where the wind took him, he passed by a school that was holding a festival.

"Asahiyama High School. Hmm... Why does this name feel familiar."

Standing at the gate, Akira saw many visitors.

Usually outsiders are not allowed to enter schools, cultural festivals are an exception.

"Never mind, I don't know where to go either. Spending time enjoying a cultural festival isn't bad either."

Having decided this, he went through the gate and blended into the crowd.

Along the road, on the left and right, there are stalls set up by students selling food, drinks, sweets, and so on.

The lively sound of cultural festivals is no less than that of fireworks festivals.

Akira's anxiety over the mysterious incident he experienced was slightly reduced while enjoying the cultural festival.

While looking at the stalls, he stopped walking and his eyes fell on a stall selling pancakes.

At the pancake stall, there were three girls whose job was to make pancakes for customers, and one of the girls was very familiar to Akira.

The girl was wearing blue headphones around her neck, her hair was tied into a ponytail, and her expression was cheerful as she was chatting with the other two girls.

"Miku-Nee?" Akira muttered in shock.

Rubbing his eyes, he still saw one of his older sisters.

"Not true. The Miku I know is an introverted girl and doesn't get along with other people easily. But Miku in front of me is clearly more carefree.... In conclusion, this is a parallel world. No, this is the True Timeline."

To verify his speculation, Akira went to the pancake stall.

"Welcome, how much would you like to order?" Asked the girl with black bob hair.

"Order one pancake." Akira answered with a smile.

"O-Okay."

Both girls were mesmerized by that smile. On the other hand, Miku quickly cooked pancakes.

Seeing that she didn't show any reaction when she saw him, Akira was sure that Miku didn't know him.

"It costs 200 yen." Miku handed over the hot pancake with a smile.

"Here is the money."

When Akira took the pancake from Miku's hand, the two of them accidentally made physical contact.

Suddenly Miku dropped the pancake she was holding and stumbled backwards while holding her head.

"Miku-san!" 2x

The two girls hurriedly held Miku so she wouldn't fall.

"Are you okay, Miku-san?"

"Are you tired? You should just rest first. Let the two of us take care of the stall."

"It's okay, just a little dizzy." Miku doesn't want to bother her friends.

"Sorry, because of my actions, the pancake fell—"

"Um~ This is delicious. You cook well."

Miku saw the young man in front of her eating pancakes.

"Have we met?"

For some reason, she felt familiar with this young man.

"Your cooking has improved a lot, Miku-Nee~"

Leaving this sentence, Akira left.

"Wait!"

Miku ran out of the stall, but the young man had already joined the crowd.

"Miku-san, what's wrong?"

"That man is quite handsome, is he an acquaintance of yours? He called you Miku-Nee."

The two girls looked at Miku curiously.

"I don't know. This is my first time meeting him. But somehow, it's as if I've known him for years."

Holding her chest, Miku felt her heart pounding. She was confused about this, this feeling was like her crush on Fuutarou.

"Maybe Ichika and the others know something."

She would ask her sister about the young man later.
