Chapter 15: Astonishment

Despite his lack of knowledge about the situation, he proceeded to ask the system for further explanation regarding the novice gift and the warning, using more detailed language similar to his previous approach.

The system sent two screens, each containing several sentences that adapted to his way of talking and limited knowledge of different worldly affairs, which made it possible for Abaddon to comprehend and read.

As he read through the messages that thoroughly explained his confusion, a smug face appeared on his face as he thought of the wonders of this system.

Yet, his face shortly started distorting and turning extremely angry as he again felt helpless and weak in this situation, this is a feeling that he never experienced since tens of thousands of years before.

However, in a span of a few days only, he experienced that feeling of weakness and being unable to do much on his own twice.

His face was dumbfounded and amazed by what he was reading, he didn't know whether this was supposed to be a joke or what, as a certain gift that couldn't be described by mere words made his jaw drop to the ground.

" Is this something even possible? What's happening with the world and how could such a thing even exists! "

He somehow felt like his long-lived years were wasted in vain, it's like he had always been in a dark corner knowing nothing about what was out there.

Regardless of the fact that the two first items were something exceptional in his current state and will play a tremendous role in boosting his strength to the next level if used perfectly.

The third gift overshadowed the existence of the first two, as he simply didn't know that such a thing was even possible before.

He calmed himself down as he knew that it was there and there was no need to react this way as a lot of things he has seen thus far had been extraordinary so far.

The piece of the catastrophe sword that he will obtain was more than enough proof of that idea, but he is currently still having a shred of doubt about all these things that were appearing in front of him and promised to him.

Hence he did what everyone in his same position would do and thought of the earth magic robe trying to see if it will really show up, in the blink of an eye right after his thought, a black robe that suited his taste materialized in front of him.

From the outer appearance, it looked like a black inner shirt. The materials looked rather mysterious, much like a true magical robe, giving off a faint glow.

Right after, Abaddon put on the earth's magical robe.

Beyond the fact that one could tell that it was no ordinary robe at a first glance, several runes shone brightly the moment he wore it. Soon, the black inner shirt automatically shifted its position under the clothes that he was currently wearing.

After he was amazed by its self-movement, he shifted his gaze to the new screen that had the description of the item.

Earth magical robe. It's a defensive artifact. Abaddon took a look at the description and found out that it was actually quite strong.

It can block a single full-powered strike from someone of the Godly realm. If placed within the cultivation levels that the public books had on them, then he can literally block an attack from the strongest cultivator in this continent.

However, he knew better than to fully believe the public books as he never thought that these four cultivation realms placed in the books are the only ones in this world.

Cause in his world which he already guessed that's it's weaker than this world as the cultivation realms in his world were thrice in number as the ones here since only four were publicly known and he deduced that even if more advanced cultivation realms were known to some individuals here, they still wouldn't be that close to how many they had and how far from what's written in public books.

But his world was a completely different realm in terms of strength from this one, after all. The powers involved there can shatter the heavens and earth, so they are not to be spoken of.

Hence he took several looks at his black inner shirt that he just got and then started concentrating on his current situation.

' This can't be any more real than it already is. Then it's time to think about the different scenarios I planned to get whatever I want from this clan and shuffle everything, creating some new ones.' His gaze was serious as he already knew what he will do.

He abolished all of his plans and chose to make use of what he have, as he will be dumb and stupid if he didn't use the trump cards that the system gifted him and specifically told him to make use of them.

' It's just disappointing that the novice gift is only a one-time thing and will never be provided again.' He sighed but then quickly dismissed these thoughts and brought together his thoughts once again.

As he was gonna continue reading through the different books in front of him, he suddenly recalled something and asked the fortune system if it was possible to accomplish.

' By the way, can you stop sending these screens every time you want to give me a message? Is there no other way around this? Cause this might kill me if it pops out during a fight and my attention gets disturbed for a split second.'
