Chapter 14: Leo's First Kill

He did not dare to stay in one place at all, so, as he moved around, his instincts warning him of impending danger and his body reacted accordingly.

As a thief, if there is one thing he trusts with his life, that would be his intuition, instincts, gut feeling, or whatever you may call it.

He trusts it to such an extent that his body will move just because his instincts warned him that there is some danger coming in that direction or something like that.

He did not know why, but his father found out during their training about eight to nine years ago during the 'Qi Sensing era' that his son has the instincts of a hunter, a soldier, or someone who has faced life and death situations many times.

His body is like a danger detector, detecting impending danger and escaping right before that thing gets him.

That's a real Thief's instinct, people say a thief can only run...but this thief can face danger head-on and come out unscathed, that's why he is the Super Thief.

His father sometimes wondered whether Leo's Instinct is his ability or main skill. He never like that ability much, so what if you can detect danger, if you can't run, fight or do something like a 'normal person' would do in such a situation, then the skill sure is useless.

That's why after thorough thought, he decided to give his son hard training when he is still young and his brain is still fresh and young.

So right now, his instincts of a thief have grown to such an extent that Leo could trust it with his life, it could not betray him.

As far as danger is considered and its direction to him detecting it with his eyes close is not a problem for him...

But his father was wrong about one thing, his son is not a 'Normal person'. His ways may or may not be the same way a normal person will do things as his path and theirs are not the same.

So as Leo continued to dodge he watched the chicken's body, and it seems like he had to stop observing for a while because he was trying to kill it quickly.

The body of the chicken is a bloodied one, red blood has darkened the red color of the feather, wetting it. But it seems like it has dried, giving the waterproof-like feather a light-reflecting ability. the wetting of the feathers has made it look a little like a mirror of some sort, except that it is not as clear and only a reddish shadow-like reflection of a person could be seen on it. Nevertheless, it is a little distracting and if things go like that.

And with all these birds attacking at the same time in addition to reflection distraction, his chance of killing them might drop by a wide margin

For that, he has to focus. he has to focus with everything he got.

Shaking off his thoughts, his silver hair fluttering in the wind, he continued from where he stopped.

The chicken was so angry that it forgot about everything, even its body! It does not matter, it will have to pay the price for that.

Leo was shocked by the development then as if all this was not enough, the chicken got a skill.

As its name explains, the chicken will have the ability to peck at its target continuously and in quick succession for a whole minute. It's the speed of pecking when using this skill is thrice that of a woodpecker. It is used when using the second skill.

Angry pursuit.:

The Speed and agility of the bird will increase giving it the ability to continuously chase its target while using the first skill.

In this type of situation, he did not let his inquisitiveness get a hold of him.

Before the Chicken attacks, he has to kill it, from what he could see that skill is way above him, it's not something that he could handle at his current level, an attack from the chicken at its current strength is sure to end him for good.

He is not going to stand there and just watch, he has to do something.

Though confused at the sudden power, it was happy and all it wanted was to utilize this power as fast as it could. Though it did not know that it will die both ways, it still knew that such an immense surge of power would only be there for a short time. But before it could even act, Ten sneak attacks swiftly landed on him in quick succession. They were all hitting one place, his neck.

And so therefore on the tenth strike...

Before it even understand what was happening, the world started spinning. it spun so much that its eyes hurt.

Well actually, in reality, it was its head that was spinning, it soon landed on the ground.

It's wattle, vibrating visibly from the shock of the impact of the head hitting the ground.

The Chicken now felt immense pain, it was so angry when it noticed what happened. But there is nothing he could do. his vision became blurry, but his anger wiped the blurriness away from his eyes, the direction of its face? Leo!. Its eyes were facing Leo at such an angle that it could see very well.

And what was the boy doing?, dancing around absentmindedly all in the name of dodging attacks, while staring at the one dagger in his hands and the blood on it with strange intent?

He did not seem to feel anything, all he felt was emptiness.

But of course! who would feel emotions for killing a chicken!?.

Everything blacked out, and that was it!...end of its Life and the destiny of all life forces in this Dungeon.

Leo dodged the attack staring at the corpse of the Chicken, he wondered if anything would happen to it.

And that was it, the Corpse soon disappeared as it was never there in the first place along with two silver coins and... a weapon?

Just what kind of Weapon is that?

He swiftly picked it up, and a screen popped up.

Please take note that these two are not measured in Leo's system...they are either combined with stats, or divided equally among them all. (Attack Power, Speed)

Leo's current attack power is only 1, so if fighting a beast of the same level, the decrease in health will be -1. So equipping the claw will increase his attack power to 2. Equipping them both will increase his attack power to 3
