He heard a sound of a bird he had never seen, as the location of his Empire 'The Great Zhou' empire is not a place where the normal type of this bird is known to thrive. So during the qi sensing era, When most of the beasts in this world (Hearth) mutated, a mutated type of that beast is extinct from this region.
The beast could be seen in the Gu Empire and the Lin Empire. The normal type of these beasts is known to thrive on seas and coastline waters, so the mutated beast of that kind could only be found in that area.
The beast was completely black. Everything!, black feathers! black beaks, black scales on legs, and black claws. Only their eyes have an additional color of Yellow.
Despite the color of their skin, their feathers are waterproof, silky, and light red reflective making them distinctive from many other mutated beasts.
Their beaks are sharp, curved a little, and also pointy, their claws are long, curved, and ready for action. Their beaks were well adapted to piercing through the defenses of their Victim.
They were once known during the old times as the pirate's companions. They were ravens, black ravens.
Because they were far, he was not able to see their levels, which makes the situation even more dangerous for him to handle. Because, at this moment he was not able to gauge their strength and skills, or know the difference in Strength between him and them.
The Mana Shield was created in two seconds, and a semi-transparent blue boundary of se sort enveloped him. It was an all-around shield that enveloped him from all sides. All that made him look ethereal, like a piece of art. It made him look Mystical and Mythical at the same time.
The Ravens saw this, but it did not trouble them that much, as they did not think too much of it...They ignored the palpating feeling in their heart, indirectly warning them not to engage in that fight. To them, the boy is just an insignificant ant that is not even worth mentioning.
They had long that their chicken friend are dead, and from what they are seeing right now the whole chicken clan had been massacred by this boy, but still, they did not think much of that.
Just like they see Leo, they also see the chicken clan as an insignificant ant...if not for a contract that was bound between the two clans, the raven wouldn't have bothered to come. And they have the strength to back them up. Compared to the Chicken chicken, the lowest of them is at LVL 4 and their Leader is at LVL 7.

He also wants to see how many attacks this mana shield can hold. He did not know what to do if ever the shield ended up disintegrating in the fight, as he has used up almost half of his Mana reserve to thicken the shield to the extent it is right now.
They had all the advantages in the world, first, they are flying beasts and could attack him from up high. The second was their strength and numbers, the ravens are about 300+ almost 400.
It would not be a lie to say that the raven's population is almost double that of the chickens. Coupled with their high strength, they sure would be a powerful foe to face. But he didn't care shit of who had an advantage or who does not. If there is no way, then he had to fucking make one for himself to manoeuver...

Leo nodded his head in understanding, this is going to help him in the long run.
It would help in quickening things for him.
With that in mind, he immediately shouted.
"What are you nincompoops, waiting for! Are you scared or what!... The chickens are even more daring and challenging than you!"
