Chapter 10: Chunin! Really?
Standing at training ground six, where several people were not supposed to be there in the first place. Sasuke, Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, the old man third, and katsura, the chunin Ena, will be facing off with.
But before we go ahead and see Ena beat the shit out of this chunin, let's go back a couple of hours ago to how we got into this predicament.
While Ena was laughing his ass off, capturing the best photo of his life. Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura were hot on his trail.
You are probably thinking, 'how is it possible three kids who barely just graduated from the academy keep up with a speedster?' Well, you could say Ena was taunting them.
Ena would slow down his speed just enough so that they would catch up to him but right as they would barely catch him. he would speed up again.
He was getting their hopes up of being able to catch him, then wholly demolishing that hope when he sped up. It was hilarious from Ena's point of view to see their faces go from hopeful to hopeless.
What could he say? He liked to torture Naruto whenever he got the chance, just for amusement as a sort of payback for all the pranks Naruto had pulled on him when he least expected it.
But having Sakura and Sasuke chase him down also improved his enjoyment. It was like a bonus. And the best part was that Ena didn't even have the photo anymore as he stashed it inside a tiny spot in a tree that he had carved out with a kunai. He usually collected his heavy notebooks in the little place so he wouldn't always have to carry them back and forth between the academy and his home.
After several minutes of playing cat and mouse Sakura got tired, Naruto was out of breath from yelling at Ena too much, and Sasuke, well… Sasuke was being Sasuke as he glared and mumbled unknown words under his breath, probably cursing Ena's whole family tree for giving birth to such a monster.
Ena is now sitting on a tree, looking below him at the trio with a big smile. "Hehe, you know you were never going to be able to catch me. I have a bloodline limit that revolves around speed." Ena said as he plucked an apple from the tree and took a bite into it while trying to satisfy his ever-growing urge to stuff his face with food.
"Ugg! Not fare! Ena! I won't give up! Believe it! Give me the picture!" Naruto yelled while pointing his finger at Ena, who smiled amusedly, which pissed off naruto even more.
"Tch idiot. We didn't stand a chance. He was playing with us from the start. I'm heading back. We'll be in trouble if we miss meeting our jonin teacher on time." Sasuke stated as he glared at Ena while walking away in the opposite direction back to the academy.
"Sasuke's right. We might get in trouble if we return, and our teachers had to wait for us." Sakura said while catching up to Sasuke.
Naruto was about to say something, but a tall man with silver hair and an old man suddenly appeared on the tree behind Ena.
Ena's hair stood up in fright as he quickly did a 180-degree movement with his body while simultaneously sending a kick straight for the silver man's head.
The man's eyes widened slightly, not expecting the sudden kick being sent his way as he quickly caught Ena's kick with his hand. Ena promptly jumped away from the tree to see who appeared behind him.
When he saw who they were, an irk mark appeared on his head. It was Kakashi and the Third Hokage. "Hey! Didn't you guys ever learn not to sneak up on people? You scared the crap out of me! Hmph! Pervy Guy probably gets a kick out of it as well, huh? You probably sneak up on little girls, don't you? Hmmm didn't know you had a thing for little boys as well! Old man Hokage, you should do something about this pervert…." Ena rambled on, clearly remembering Kakashi from his other encounter. Still, sadly his sentence got way off-topic, earning weird looks from Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, Naruto, and the old man as they all glanced between Kakashi and Ena.
Kakashi, now very embarrassed, looked away, not knowing what to say at the false accusations. Kakashi stated plainly, "we're shinobi sneaking up on people is part of the job."
Ena looked up at Kakashi with a baffled expression like he never knew such a thing 'wait, shinobi sneak up on little girls and boys. If so… then that means I will, too, in the future!.... But wouldn't that make me a pedophile? But I can't; I won't…..' Enawast was brought out of his great thoughts by the loud cough.
"*Cough!*….. Anyway, Ena, you are late for your spar. And Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura. As you were not in the academy when Iruka told the rest of the students who their jonin teacher would be, he is here now! His name is Hatake Kakashi, and he will be your jonin teacher from now on!" the old third said while referencing Kakashi next to him.
Several thoughts ran through the recent graduate's mind.
'This guy is weird, and what's up with that dumb look on his face? Oh, I know that book Ena showed me….' one thought, looking at the book in Kakashi's hand.
'He easily caught Ena's kick just now! He made it look too easy! This guy…. He's definitely a Jonin! He's strong...'
'Why is he wearing a mask? And why is his eye covered? Is he going to be our teacher? Wait, I'm on Sasuke's team! *gushing*.'
"Well, later, guys, I have a chunin's ass to kick," Ena said before stopping at the third Hokage following words.
"Kakashi, I think it would be a good idea to have your team spectate the match so they can have insight into how their current strengths are"
Kakashi didn't say anything and just nodded. Frankly, he didn't even know if these bunch of kids would be on his team as they have yet to pass his test, but he maybe thought having them watch Ena would be suitable for them to learn their current level of power compared to others.
Now back to the present on training ground number six. The chunin katsuri and Ena were several meters apart, waiting for the go-ahead as several people spectated. But Ena currently was pondering in his head. 'Is this guy a chunin? Like he doesn't have any big muscles and looks so ordinary!'
"Start" katsura and Ena both heard the go-ahead for the match to start. Katsura started to do hand signs getting a Jutsu prepared, and Ena activated his speed.
From Ena's point of view, everything slowed down to slow motion to a snail's pace. Only Kakashi and the third hiruzen could see Ena's body movements.
Ena smiled, seeing how slow the chunin looked from his point of view doing his hand signs for a Jutsu. Ena chuckled to himself and thought. 'If you want to beat me, you will at least need to match me in speed and be able to see my body or sense me to counterattack. But you did the opposite by trying to do a Jutsu that takes time to complete. And as a speedster, time is all I have….'
Ena, now engulfed in a streak of pink lightning, appeared, heading straight for the chunin. The chunin's eyes widened as his instincts kicked in. He canceled the Jutsu to evade Ena's incoming attack but sadly for the chunin; he was too late.
Ena smiled mischievously as he stopped his speed in front of the chunin and yelled, "nut shot!" As he punched the chunin in his no-no square and fainted at the sheer force and momentum, the punch had! *ahhhhh!*
Sasuke, spectating the fight, grimaced from his personalized experience, and the other males, as well as they instinctively covered their most precious body parts in fear.
Ena rubbed his nose a little and smiled, looking down at the unconscious chunin, "hehe, you know you're a lot taller than me. So if you think about it. my headshot is right where your most precious spot is…. So it was the obvious spot to hit."
All the boys grimaced as their legs tightened while cursing Ena's logic. But Naruto was nodding as it made sense to him! 'Thanks for the advice, Ena! I'll be able to beat Sasuke in our next spar!' Naruto mischievously glanced at Sasuke with a vast smile, thinking about his future plans for their next spar.
