Chapter 51: Chapter 51: I Am Your Daddy
Ramiel who just beat the shit out of Vincent gave a wry smile to him and lifted him up. "Sorry man, I thought you were one of the bad guys that were tasked with fetching Aerith and Ifalna." Ramiel dusted him off and even casted a curaga.
"Uhhh, it's okay. I did point my gun at you." Vincent went awkward as well, not expecting that he will meet Ramiel so soon. He was preparing for this day for years, but he wasn't such a social person in the first place.
"Hah, what are you doing Ramiel? You were about to break his arm!" Ifalna chided him and Ramiel shrugged. "What? I was just about to disarm him; I could've killed him you know? That would've been much worse. If Alexandra was here she would hack him to pieces."
Vincent broke a cold sweat. "How old are you again?" He looked at Ramiel who was almost as tall as him and certainly looked like a young man now, making him quite sad that he wasn't able to raise them. "I'm almost 14, why the sudden question though?"
The Turk got even more depressed, he thought that he would teach him everything he could about his trade. But his 14-year-old kid kicked his ass, injuring his fragile heart. 'Lucrecia won't ever let me live this down if she knew.'
"Who are you anyway?" Ramiel then raised a brow at Vincent, not quite convinced that he was there to just help Ifalna and Aerith. "Uhhh, mind explaining to me what's happening here? I just saw that guy whoop Vincent." Elmyra was confused, but now they were just conversing normally.
"Ahhh, Elmyra. Meet Ramiel, he's one of my greatest benefactors. He's one of the twins that Aerith keeps talking about. One of Shinra's 1st class SOLDIER." Ifalna introduced and Elmyra was shocked, she then remembered how he fought the Leviathan in Wutai.
"I see, don't be resentful Vincent. Based on what we saw in Wutai; he would definitely beat you." Elmyra nodded in understanding and Vincent had a sheepish look on his face. "Can you not rub it on my face?"
"Wait, Vincent? Vincent Valentine?" Ramiel raised a brow and the Turk's eyes lit up, thinking that he knew he was their father. "Weren't you a part of our mother's research? And then Hojo experimented on you once she was exiled from Nibelheim?"
Vincent went into a deep thought, thinking that Lucrecia didn't just abandon him and left him in a coffin. Making him want to find her even more and hear the full story of what happened when he got shot by Hojo.
"Anyways, thanks. Ifalna and Aerith were apparently taken from Nibelheim while we were busy in Wutai…" Ramiel frowned, Aerith then ran to him like a bullet. "Ramiel-nii!" Aerith jumped at him and crashed onto his chest. (pic)
"Oof, how have you been Aerith? Sorry that big brother and sister couldn't help you earlier." Ramiel sighed and Aerith shook her head. "No, you helped us even when you weren't here. I was able to save mom's life because of this." Aerith took out the curaga Materia and showed it to him.
"I see." Ramiel's face hardened and he looked at the upper plate of Midgar, clenching his fists. "Hojo, you might have given us the slip now. But I'll definitely take you down. Just wait." Ramiel squinted his eyes and Vincent nodded at his words.
"Shinra has been trying to find the two, maybe we should evacuate from here?" Vincent wanted to escape from there, but Ramiel waved his hands nonchalantly. "That's because I ordered one of my partners to try and find you when I learned that Aerith and Ifalna has been missing."
Vincent was shocked. "You already have that much influence over Shinra?" Ramiel nodded and was quite pleased with it too. "Well it was more of a stroke of luck, but yes it's only a matter of time before I get full control of Shinra."
They were all surprised as Shinra isn't quite a small time company. It isn't an exaggeration to say that Shinra has hegemony over the world. Their influence and power is that vast.
"So, you want to take down Shinra with me? We've already prepared for it extensively too. I only need to give the signal and we'll start." Ramiel smiled at Vincent and he was both proud and scared of how fast and efficient the twins were.
"Wait, can you please tell me if Lieutenant Gainsborough is fine?" Elmyra looked anxious as her husband fought in the war in Wutai. "Gainsborough huh? Ahhh, that guy's fine. He must be having some bratwurst and lager with Hanz right now."
Elmyra was stunned, here she was. Worrying every day and going to the terminal for arrival. But he was apparently having victory parties for their victory. She fumed and was definitely going to give him a hard time later.
"Ramiel-nii, can I see Cloud and Tifa? I haven't met them for a long time." Aerith missed her friends and he patted her head. "Sure thing, how about I bring you to Nibelheim for now? Midagr will be dangerous." Ramiel smiled at Aerith.
"Honey, how about you play with aunt Elmyra for now? We just need to have a talk." Ifalna patted her head and looked at Elmyra.
The adults and one teen then started to find seats. With Ifalna explaining what happened to them. Starting from when they were abducted from Nibelheim. "I see, Gast has died huh? How about your bodies? Any side effects from Minerva cells?"
Ifalna shook her head and flexed a bit. "Nothing, we feel superhuman. But that's about it, Aerith and I have just gotten stronger and stronger in time." Ramiel sighed in relief.
"How about you Vincent? Thanks for helping Ifalna and Aerith again by the way. It seems that they were in a close call when they escaped. Good thing I gave Aerith a curaga Materia."
Vincent then told his story that he was a mercenary working with Avalanche when he saw the mother and daughter duo. "I took down 3 Mako reactors from Shinra, that's why they're quite crippled right now." Vincent was quite proud of his achievement, dealing a critical blow to Shinra.
But he did have thoughts on how Ramiel will wean the world from Mako energy. "I know what you're thinking about already. Here, read this. Gaia will heal with this, our main problem now is Shinra and Hojo. Wherever that cockroach is." Ramiel squinted his eyes.
"Hey, I'm quite interested on what happened with you. Lucrecia experimented on you right? Just like with us, stupid woman. She was apprehensive towards project Binary. But she still went with it nonetheless." Ramiel shook his head and Vincent was shocked to his core.
"S-she what?" Vincent couldn't believe it, Lucrecia agreed in experimenting on their unborn children. "Lucrecia was egged on by Hojo to experiment on us. But she didn't need that much convincing. That's why I don't actively look for her, it certainly helped us. But Alexandra would have certainly been a puppet of Shinra if I wasn't there."
"L-Lucrecia… Experimented on our children of her own will." Vincent dropped a bomb on them due to his shock. "What did you say?" Ramiel went wide eyed and he heard it clearly. "Vincent is your daddy?" Ifalna uttered and Ramiel deadpanned at her. She gave a sheepish smile and was sorry.
"Hey, did what you say is true?" Ramiel flicked Vincent who was spacing out. Vincent stared at him blankly and nodded. "Shit, that sucks." Ramiel patted him on the back.
Everybody then went quiet and Aerith popped up out of the kitchen. "Vin-chama is Ramiel-nii's daddy!?" Elmyra followed suit with an awkward smile on her face. "Sorry, wrong timing."
