CHAPTER 36 - Strange Urges

Slowly, she moved inch by inch, and by the time she got to his biceps, Zale was almost dying from the long wait.

Was she planning on torturing him with her slow movements?

"Pearl... "

"Hmm?"

"You're slow," he complained when he could not bear it anymore.

She jolted a bit and apologized quickly. "Sorry!" She said blushing harder and unknowingly pulled her hands back.

"Don't worry I would cover up."

"No, you are hurt."

"I'm healed remember?" 

Her lips twisted but she did not want him to stop her. "I need to inspect to make sure," she reasoned. 

A sound argument nonetheless.

Moving closer to him, Pearl held his arm before settling her cold palm against his hot skin.

Her simple gesture felt like lighting a fire in him.

He could see her flushed cheeks and could tell she was shy. As much as he did not ask her to do anything, he didn't want to force her.
