Chapter 3: I can reincarnate!?
Author's note: Name drop will only happen in chapter five, in this chapter it will be explained why. There is a Prologue, I advise reading that if you want some more information about the personality of the MC. (There is a slight spoiler but not much.)

"Where am I?" The young man woke up in an unfamiliar place.
"What is this?" As he looked around he saw a transparent bluish spherical barrier surrounding his body.
'Hm... who are they...aren't they burning...?' Outside the barrier, green flames consumed walking people who appeared to have humanoid and transparent bodies.
[Notice: Legendary Skill Reincarnation activated successfully!]
"Huh?" The young man became even more confused as he heard a strange yet familiar voice.
[Begining the search for possible worlds to reincarnate in according to the Host!]
Hearing the emotionless and robotic voice, while seeing a light blue window emerge from thin air before his eyes with black letters writing what he had heard, a question arose "This, isn't it the...?"
'I'd seen this blue panel before... Hm, let's try it.'
"Hi, can you hear me?"
[Yes, Host.]
"..." He hesitated for a second as the short answer was with a slightly different or more human-like voice than before, but as both sounded like it was from a woman he didn't think much of it.
"Where am I... and who are you?"
[The Host is in the Hall of Bones.]
[I am the Host's system, I was given the name Aidana, the Host can call me that.]
"Hm... where or what is this Hall of Bones?"
[The Hall of Bones is the place where the souls of the creatures of The Realms go after death...]
[Warrinig: The Host is not entitled to any further explanation!]
"..." Noticing that the voice had changed to the emotionless one he raised an eyebrow.
'It looks like I can't get more information...' The young man brought his hand to his chin as he thought of something but with this.
'Hm, my hand is transparent...? Wait...' As a realization came to him he hurriedly asked. "Aidana, am I dead?"
[Yes, unfortunately, the host died from exhaustion.]
"From exhaustion?"
[Yes...]
"Really?"
[I know it is hard to accept...]
"Ah, don't misunderstand it, I wasn't tired when I fought so it was just strange hearing, I died from that."
[...] 'Is something wrong with his head?' A being, far away hidden in the fabric of space questioned herself.
"You said you are my system is it something like in games?"
'Hm..?' The words of the young man woke her up from the unnecessary thoughts.
[Yes, something the like, this system is a gift from someone kind.]
"From who?"
[Me.]
"..."
'Is he scared...?'
"Thank you."
'Huh?' [The Host doesn't even know what will happen why would you thank?]
"It was a gift wasn't it?"
'...'
"I just appreciated your gift nothing else."
'He is so innocent... it is cute...' She misunderstood some things but it didn't matter.
"But... what will happen to me now, didn't I die?"
[The Host will be reincarnated in The Realms, thanks to the Legendary Skill, Reincarnation.] As Aidana said, another window appeared in front of the young man.

"I can reincarnate..." When he read that he could be reborn he become a little skeptical but didn't question it. After the skill description appeared, he heard Aidana continue with one more thing.
[The Host can bring up the character description by saying 'Status', or just calling my name, you don't have to say it physically, just think about it.]
"Status..." Tossing his skepticism aside, he followed Aidana's instructions, and with the word a status window immediately appeared in his line of sight.

"Why does it say nameless?" Noticing that his name was not written on the top, the young man asked while he tried to continue with his name, "My name is..." but he stopped mid-sentence and looked lost, words came to explain.
[The Reincarnation skill has already been activated.]
"Huh...? What?"
'Since the soul form cannot be completely restored, the user loses some of their memories of previous lives.' As he remembered the last sentence of the skill description, his nonchalant face turned to a serious one.
He tried to think about what he had forgotten, but it was futile as it was completely forgotten, he couldn't even notice the missing memories until they were pointed out, like now with his name.
"Where..." His thoughts started going through his memory, but he was stopped by the continuation of the answer.
[Since the Host had already forgotten his previous life name, it was decided that the new name, from the new family, would be entered as the Host's permanent name.]
"How... how can you decide just like that...? I got my name from my family!" A slight expression of anger appeared in the later sentence with his raised voice.
[It was the Host who forgot the name!]
"Uh!?" Hearing the short and harsh answer, he shut up. Noting his silence, Aidana continued.
[Since the name is forgotten, it shows that the name did not mean much to the Host.]
"...!" He frowned at the words denying the importance of something he was given by his parents.
[You can only forget things that are not related to a strong will.]
"Ugh..." Though he knew it too, he wanted to deny her words, but now instead of being angry, *sigh..* he calmed his mind with a deep sigh.
[Names are important in The Reams, and the Host's name was given by a creature around Existence Rank 2, which is low, really low.]
"I apologize for rising my voice, it was indeed I who had forgotten the name, but you should have asked me first... I don't like this one bit..."
[I too apologize, but it will be better this way.]
"Hmh... I hope..." With the words, he turned back to the Status window and looked through it, he noticed different tabs at the bottom, and as he read them, each one opened a new different window.
[Skills] Opened a tab that he had already seen, with his only skill, that being Reincarnation.
[Titles] It opened a new tab that looked similar to the previous one, there he saw the description of his only title.

The last tab was named [Other], which described his appearance, sizes, and all the weird stuff you could think of, but some things interested him.

"Let's see what is..." He was trying to search for more information when he was interrupted by a message from the system's emotionless voice.
[Notice: Found 469 words in The Realms that are suitable for the Host according to personality and disposition, any can be selected.]
After the message, a scrolling window appeared showing some pictures of different worlds, with a few lines of description below each one.
As he scrolled through the window a question arose. "Aidana, can't I go back to my old world?"
[I apologize, but you can't.]
"Thought so..."
"Can I ask a few more questions?"
[Obviously.]
The young man wanted to understand as much as he could, so hearing this made him bombard her with every question that arose in his mind.
He asked question after question and Aidana tried to answer them all, they talked for a while, and after what seemed like hours, the young man stopped asking questions.
"So let's be clear, The Realms is the generic name for a collection of thousands of worlds created after an incident I'm too low-ranked to know?"
[Yes...] Sensing the obvious tiredness in her voice, the young man hurried his speech to finish quickly.
"...and this system that you gifted me is meant to help me grow in these worlds, ah, right you didn't say why you gifted it to me yet."
[That... is not that important now, I'll tell later.] Hearing a slight embarrassment in her voice the young man didn't ask more about it.
"One more thing, you said I'll not be able to see or hear the system after I arrive at my new world, but you didn't say why."
[It's because you currently don't have Mana inside your body. The system works with Mana, and even now we can only talk because you use the power of your soul instead of Mana in your soul form."
"Hm... Okay, I think this is it."
[Good...]
"So now, what are we waiting for, I have already read through some of the descriptions of the worlds and they say almost the same thing, so let's just choose a beautiful one."
Clicking on the most beautiful world, he saw his world of blue and green begin to change.
"Oh?" The barrier began to move with incredible speed, inside it he didn't feel the speed, but he became dizzy from the flashing lights, but the travel only took a blink of an eye before it slowed a little.
"Wow! It is beautiful." As he was almost out of the place he looked back, and he saw the place he was in a moment ago.
"It looks like a large and decorated hall... but it is enormous, and there are uncountable doors and gates on either side of the walls too."
"Hm... what are those?" There were some unique-looking gates at the top of some stairs, which contained at least a few thousand steps.
"Uh? It accelerated again..." He was flying toward the biggest gate, which was in the opposite direction from the stairs and the unique gates.
Passing through the giant open gate he started flying at an even faster speed and with it, the world around him turned into the colors of the rainbow.
"It is really beautiful..." He passed by stars, planets, and different worlds, some looked like floating islands others like a large tree with nine different spheres on it, each representing a different world of its own.
After a few hours, the man was watching the wonders of The Realms, when the system prompted.
[Notice: The host will shortly arrive at the world of...] But before the notification was completed...
[Warning: A strong force is disrupting the host's destination.] ...a warning was received.
"Huh? What is..." And with the system warning, the direction changed to the nearest world, the young man didn't have time to think, but he was already entering the world's atmosphere.
