Chapter 1: Prologue
A man was seen sitting in the front of Good Hunters, eating the dishes he ordered as elegant as one can ever eat. He has blonde long hair braided to the point where it almost reaches his hips, yellow eyes that are often mistaken as light when people look at it without prior knowledge, the beauty on his face is accompanied with his slender, slim, yet muscular body that seemed to be honed through battles, and skin that seemed as soft as silk, it wouldn't be an exaggeration if one mistaken his skin to be butter.
This was Ether, an abandon doll left behind by his creator who attempted to create another being, another him, that WAS the purpose of Ether's creation.
But little did his creator, Aether, know that another soul traversed through various dimensions and realms found Ether, or the abandoned doll that had failed to meet his expectations.
Casted out and thrown away in the wilderness, it was founded by the otherworldly soul, and infused with the doll.
When people die, their soul leaves their body behind, until the moment where the cycle of life repeats itself and sends the soul back to the world in a new body without their precious memories, that's how the world normally works. But what if the said soul traversed to a different realm that had a body compatible with that soul? Will they have the same memories of their past?
In Ether's case, that's true, he retained all the memories of his past. How he lived, what he had experienced, everything that was important to him was retained within his memories. After all, it was thanks to a certain system.
The Soul System came to his help during his dying moments, when it asked for permission to assist him, to which he accepted in the moment. But to his surprise, the so called soul system had brought his soul to another world, inhabited an soul-bearing puppet that was created as an alternative body for Aether, whom he recalled being the 'Prince' of the Genshin Storyline but was never mentioned at all. He came up with this speculation purely because of the similarities in appearance that the doll and Aether had in common, even their outfit is practically the same, aside from the absence of the scarf.
Upon arriving in this world, Ether had various options for him to live a happy life. 1. Help the traveler(Lumine) through her journeys. 2. Live a quiet life without meeting the traveler. 3. Travel with the traveler.
Back then he decided to postpone the decision until later, when he finally meets the traveler. But until then, he has to make a living and work somewhere in Mondstadt, the closest city to him and figure out his situation and befriend the others. 'Especially Diluc, he is a hard shell to crack,' That was the first thought that came to mind when thinking about Mondstadt.
As he recalled the various events that occurred during his time in Mondstadt, Ether couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. After all, memorable events took place, some more than others.
Looking at the dawning sun, Ether decided that if the traveler was Aether, he would disguise himself and hide anywhere else other than in his sight. And if it was Lumine, he'll decide later, after all, he felt eased in Mondstadt, no longer longing for home and enjoys the fun that this opportunity had provided him with. Ether didn't know if it was a blessing or a curse, but he knew that there was more than enough to keep his life entertaining and him entertained. After all, his previous wish was to have a peaceful and fun life in another world, with no harem of course.
After all, Ether was quite the NEET before his death, he had wanted a harem before but soon realized the price he had to pay for it. Therefore, he gave up on that idea because it was too bothersome. Sure people would love it if they had adorable and beautiful ladies/girls around them all the time but that just means no time to yourself. What's more, he found it difficult, or awkward around people, especially girls around his age. It's also scary when there is a Yandere in the mix.
So then, Ether decided and dedicated himself to finding his soulmate in life, but before he even had a chance to get a single girlfriend, he had passed on in life.
Perhaps he could do so with the help of the System this life. After all, the system displays information about other items and people in this world. Even he could improve his own personal skills through Soul Points. After all, he had drastic improvements compared to 2 years before, shown both in appearance and stat wise.

Because of that, Ether had fun making trips back and forth between missions to improve his stats, whether if it was the simplest mission like helping the Church out or helping the knights, Ether always eagerly compiled, people say that his swordsmanship was like the wind itself, if Jean's swordsmanship was distinguished, then Ether's swordsmanship is said to be more elegant and free flowing, which earned him the nickname of "Free-willed Spirit" amongst the citizens. As days pasted by, it was soon time for the traveler's arrival. After all, the awakening of Dvalin is near.
