Chapter 53: Three Months Later

Ji Min then looked toward the twins and noticed that they were staring at him with their mouths wide open.

"Eh, what happened; is there something on my face?" He asked as he took out a mirror from his pouch and took a look at himself.

Ji Min also froze in shock when he saw himself; though he was currently as bald all over as a newborn baby, the looks on him were enough to make a King plan an impromptu marriage within the hour, betrothing all the princess in his family to him.

His skin which previously looked like that of a few-days-old baby now glistened like golden jade.

He now stood at exactly six feet and his muscle-toned body was now firmer and tighter, making him look like a war god who had been perfectly whittled down to the size of a teenager.

His skin felt so thin and yet so resistant that Ji Min felt like he could take on another whip from Cui without taking a single step back.

But all of these changes were nothing compared to what had taken place within him; his muscles felt extremely dense and his bones felt like feathers.

Every single one of his organs, including his brain, felt as thick as the skin of a sperm whale.

His heart thumped like a nuclear warhead had gone off underwater, whilst his blood gushed through his veins like a hurricane, storm, and tsunami was happening simultaneously.

He balled his hand into a fist and could feel that they contained the same power his previous body had at its peak, and that was after his cultivation had fallen to the 1 Star Qi Gathering stage; in fact, he felt stronger than his peak.

[Congratulations young lord; though your Qi cultivation had regressed by one star, your body cultivation, on the other hand, seems to have reached the 4-Star Commander Stage.] Sensei praised from within.

[Thanks Sensei, but can you describe that in layman's terms?] Ji Min sought clarification.

[This means you should be able to force that Flame Serpent Bull to a stalemate as long as it doesn't go berserk.]

[That's it? I endured seven hours of nightmare-inducing pain to be as strong as Cui in his stable state?!] Ji Min was almost shedding tears at this point.

[Normally, such a feat should have taken you at least three months of normal body refining.

Moreover, you are yet to learn any valuable martial art; but worry not young lord, all of that would be solved in three months' time.] Sensei consoled as Ji Min released a sigh which snapped the twins out of their daze.

[Well, on the bright side, I seem to have become immune to seven different kinds of venoms and their variants.] Ji Min also consoled himself.

[Of course young lord. By the time you finish your treatments, I believe you would have been entirely immune to all Mortal Realm venoms out there.

In fact, I believe Spirit Realm venoms would only have little effect on you; but even with that, once any path of your cultivation enters the Spirit Realm, you would also become immune to them.] Sensei added, and his statement really made Ji Min feel a lot better.

Ji Min then refocused on the situation in front of him which was the smitten twins; and just as he was about to tell them he was hungry;

~Kroon!~

Ji Min's stomach pleaded to the girls on his behalf. Ji Min smiled wryly as the girls chuckled before leaving to get him something to eat.

Ji Min returned to his room, and the moment his body touched his bed, he instantly fell asleep; apparently, he had severely underestimated the sheer levels of the burden his mind had been subjected to during the treatment.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

The girls arrived at Ji Min's room and gave it a knock, but after knocking thrice and getting no response, they glanced at one another and could see worry written on their faces; they became worried that something had happened and opened the door.

On seeing the utterly slumbering Ji Min, they heaved a sigh of relief, before sitting at the entrance, staring at Ji Min's tender face; but moments later, Ji Min turned and faced the opposite direction causing the girls to sigh in loss before making their way to their rooms.

That night Master Li visited Ji Min from the Yun Empire as promised, but when Old Lao brought him to Ji Min's room, they both realized that he was is in deep sleep, and thus, they both left without disturbing him whilst Old Lao recounted everything that had happened since they arrived from the Yun Empire.

After a few more conversations and giving updates on the current situation of the Southern Ji Family, Master Li then returned under the cover of the night.

Days turned into weeks and weeks eventually changed into months; and before anyone could say 'Jack Robinson' three months had already flashed past.

During these three months, Master Li visited punctually to receive updates on Ji Min's progress whilst giving Old Lao an update on the current situation of the Southern Ji Family.

Today was the day Ji Min would undergo the last series of his treatment, and currently, his Qi cultivation had already regressed to the 2 Star Qi Sensing stage, and Ji Min could tell that by the time he was done with today's treatment, he would have lost all his Qi cultivation.

But on the brighter side, he was now at the Peak of the Commander Stage and was sure he could break into the Lord Stage of the body cultivation path, thus, he wasn't too downtrodden.

He was currently within the cauldron which contained the same solution he had used every week for the last eight weeks.

According to the body cultivation information contained within the Legacy of Shangri La, Ji Min understood that body cultivation involved using Qi to temper every inch of a cultivator's body.

But whilst others only strengthen their flesh, muscles, bones, organs, and blood from the inside-out, Ji Min on the other hand was meant to cultivate all nine dimensions of his body, and temper them from the outside in; a method which will prove to be much better than that of the other body cultivators within this red portal world he found himself.
