Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Awakening
As the chanting reached a fever pitch, the liquid in the pool started to swirl as Viktor yelled " MY LORD ZAGGOTH!"
As a mass of black flesh spewed forth from the pool, as it traveled upwards many eyes opened up of a multitude of colors of thousands of varieties disappearing and reappearing at random, the one thing that wasn't random? Where they were looking, they were all pinpointing on Ethan, his possible vessel it was enough to make Ethan's mind bend and warp to the point of breaking.
Then screaming began, the screaming came from Ethan's parents as they looked down at this monstrosity. Their minds bending, all of the creature's eyes snapped to the two screaming humans. Then thousands of mouths opened on the creature, as it shot up towards Ethan's parents. A massive maw opened, it was the length of its entire body. The entire maw was lined with uneven and incomprehensible sizes and amounts of teeth.
The eyes of the creature all shot Ethan for a moment and seemed to laugh at him as it shut its maw over his parents and all he could hear was screaming and tearing and ripping as they begged for it to end.. And it did end just not slowly the only thing left were their hands still dangling from the chains they were hanging from.
Ethan couldn't look away the entire time, it was as if there was a force making him unable to move and do anything other than watch this thing, eat both of his parents, he could feel it all. The suffering, the cries of agony. The creature bent down towards Ethan, smiling with great glee with it's eye's. Ethan's mind began to bend, eventually getting to the point of almost breaking the creature looked closer at Ethan almost seeming to feast off of his pain and anguish as his mind broke like a egg.
Just as the last amount of willpower was about to leave him, an image flashed into his mind. An image of him and his parents all sitting at their dinner table laughing. He could feel their will helping him, helping him resist.
The creature leaned away in surprise and then an alien voice rang into Ethan's mind " Finaallllly the chosen vessel.... I cannot wait to see the world through your eyes, feel it through your flesh and rip it all apart." Lord Zaggoth spoke with great mirth as he had finally found his chosen vessel, his champion that he would use to take all of creation as his play thing.
As the creature leaned in and began marking Ethan as his property, it was a mental mark that connected Lord Zaggoth and Ethan permanently. As the process was finished there was a loud explosion and then everything went white and Ethan's ears began ringing and the stress of all that happened overloaded Ethan's mind and he passed out as gunfire and screaming rang out.
