Chapter 12: 12
"I'm home," Sakumo announced when he entered his house.
"Welcome back, darling." A woman said while walking out from inside the house.
The woman had blonde hair and was in her mid-twenties, around the same age as Sakumo.
She hugged Sakumo and was about to get back, but Sakumo pulled her towards him and was about to kiss her.
"Hey! There are kids." She said and quickly put her hand on Sakumo's lips, stopping him.
Sakumo then released her from his arms.
"Hello, my name is Myu Azawa Hatake. I am Sakumo, your sensei's wife. Nice to meet you, kids." The woman introduced herself as she smiled warmly and patted Minato and Yukan's heads lightly.
After she introduced herself, Yukan and Minato introduced themselves one by one.
After the introductions finished, Sakumo took Yukan and Minato to a room inside the house.
"This is the room where I stay most of the time with my cute little son Kakashi. He is currently sleeping in the cradle right there. You can see him if you want to, but don't wake him up because if you do, you will be putting him back to sleep." Sakumo said as he pointed to a wooden cradle in the room.
"Stay here. I will get the bunch of papers from the other room." Sakumo said and left the room after putting down his blade.
Yukan and Minato were curious about how cute Kakashi was for their sensei to be talking about him all the time.
"...Hey, he's cute," Minato said as the two of them quietly walked to the cradle.
"Yeah, damn cute," Yukan replied in the same low voice.
"I told you guys, he is cute," Sakumo said as he came behind them.
They were about to shout after getting scared, but since they did not want a crying 4-month-old baby in their hands, they did nothing and just turned around.
When they turned around, they saw Sakumo holding a thick bunch of paper in his hands.
"Sensei, don't tell me. The one chakra paper..." Yukan said as an expression of fear came on his face.
"Well, yes. Not only that, but the main point is that you have to find it alone. Since I and Minato already know our affinities, we cannot infuse our chakra on every piece of paper. What if we use chakra paper accidentally? There will be none left for you." Sakumo said as he handed Yukan the paper.
"...WOW! Such...help." Yukan exclaimed.
"All the best, Yukan. I'll be sitting in the corner there." Minato said. He then walked to the corner.
"Me too." Sakumo followed him.
Yukan sighed, sat down and started to inject his chakra into the paper.
After pouring his chakra into 186 sheets, it finally reacted.
By this time, an hour had passed. Kakashi was carried out of the room by Myu while Minato and Kakashi were sleeping blissfully on the floor.
When the paper finally reacted to Yukan's chakra, he yelled at the top of his lungs," I got it."
Sakumo suddenly woke up. He stood up, held his unsheathed blade and asked," Where's the enemy?"
"What? Enemy? Where?" Minato asked with his half-closed eyes.
"Enemy? No, you lazy people, the paper finally reacted." Yukan said, his voice filled with happiness.
"Oh, it did? Well, what is it?" Sakumo asked. He put down his blade, but his eyes were still only half-open.
The paper in Yukan's hand was burning. The flames gave a black colour for a second, but then they turned into ashes.
Sakumo was surprised when he saw a flash of black flame. He thought of touching the ashes of paper but in the end, decided not to.
"As far as I can guess, you may have the Yin element with fire. But that is just my guess. I am not so sure." Sakumo said while thinking about Yukan's element.
After a moment of silence, Sakumo spoke again.
"Anyways, we will find out about it with time. From tomorrow on, your training time will be doubled. Yukan will learn to use the sword from me while Minato, you will learn ninjutsu. I'll get you some D-Rank Ninjutsu tomorrow. Now, back to your homes, shoo. Don't disturb me anymore." Sakumo said as he yawned and went back to sleep.
-The next day, at the training ground-
"Always remember, kids. Hard work is a thousand times better than talent. A disciplined man is more dangerous than an inconsistent Hard working man. You need to surpass your limits every day and every time." Sakumo said as he looked at his students.
"Now, let's start with running 35 laps of the ground. I will run with you," Sakumo said while clapping loudly to wake his students up.
2 hours later, Yukan and Minato had done all the exercises Sakumo told them to do after running the laps. They now stood under a tree, breathing heavily, gasping for air and drinking some water.
"You boys did well," Sakumo said.
"Anyways, I brought these jutsus for you, Minato. There are two D-rank wind ones, one D-Rank water type and one C-Rank Wind-type. Yukan, you come with me. You are going to train with me." Sakumo said as he walked to the middle of the ground and took out a wooden sword.
In the middle of the ground, Sakumo stood holding a wooden sword and opposite him stood Yukan with his Katana, looking at Sakumo.
"Are you sure about this Sensei? I am not as bad as I was 2 months ago." Yukan said and looked at Sakumo doubtfully.
"Yes, come at me. I will show you how to win using skills with no raw physical power when against someone who is using raw power blindly, which you will be using," Sakumo said as he indicated Yukan to start the spar.
The spar started. Yukan was ready to suppress Sakumo as much as he could for the first time in his life as a student.
The student was finally going to be better than the teacher.
