Chapter 5: Sona Sitri and Rias Gremory

It was morning in Kuoh, the school was just opening and a beautiful red-haired girl was walking towards it. Rias Gremory yawned a little due to tiredness and lack of sleep.

"Rias Onee-sama is well?" The blonde girl, Asia Argento, looked worriedly at her mistress.

"Yes, Asia... I just got a little sleepless last night." Replied the Gremory princess.

"Ara ara, Buchou has to be careful if she doesn't want to get wrinkles," Himejima Akeno joked.

"Buchou seems to be stressed..." Xenovia, the newest member of the group, whispered to Kiba Yuuto, who only nodded. The beginning of the school year had been complicated.

Koneko didn't comment on anything, but she was attentive to the conversation.

Rias didn't know what to do... according to the call she received from her mother, Kokabiel's attack has made the elders ask the clan's heiress to stay in the Underworld and marry Raiser to give birth to a new generation of devils as soon as possible.

Almost reaching the entrance, the devils noticed that in the middle of the bridge before the entrance stood a young man wearing a red and black hoodie. The hood covered the young man's face. They approached him with concern, as the aura he was emanating was not exactly weak.

The boy removed the hood, revealing his face. Brown hair that was neither long nor short. The left eye was scarlet green, and the right eye was golden yellow... it was unusual heterochromia. A vertical scar crossed the right eye.

Rias ordered the common students to go directly to the school using his demonic powers.

"Who are you?" Rias asked when he was sure all the common students had entered the school.

"Are you so quick to forget about me, Gremory?" the young man asked in a mocking tone. "Well, let me introduce myself. My name is Hyoudou Issei, the Sekiryuutei of this generation."

After saying who he was, Issei felt two sharp objects on his neck. Seeing that both of Rias' "Knights" dared to threaten him, he only sighed.

"Are you two idiots?"

"What have you come for, Welsh Dragon?" Xenovia glared menacingly at the Sekiryuutei.

"You've come on orders from the Fallen?" Kiba was also alert.

"Hey... let's be honest, Kokabiel didn't kill them because he wanted to play with you guys first. Let's just say I don't like to play too much."

Issei's voice gave them all chills. Rias Gremory and her slaves could swear they were seeing a dragon behind the young man. Issei grabbed both swords with ease and pulled them away from his neck.

"I didn't come here to fight... Where is the Vanishing Dragon?"

"Vali-san is in the underworld... he studies at a school there," Asia responded nervously to the question, but was relieved when Issei paid no more attention to her.

"I see... at least now I have one less annoyance to put up with." Issei sighed in relief. "Anyway, my goal here is another one and you guys are involved... but I think it's best to meet up after school. See you guys at that weird club you use as a front, and bring Leviathan's sister along too."

Issei left, and everyone else could breathe easily. The pressure of being in front of the Welsh Dragon was too much for them.

Already on the street, Issei looked around the city... much had changed in ten years. He took his time to get to his house and go inside to check on it and was glad when he saw that it was still just as he remembered it. The memories of what happened that day were still there...he hadn't forgotten anything in the last ten years.

[I'm sure they're proud of you, seeing how you've grown up.]

Issei smiled at his partner's words.

"It's good to be back home."

........

"What do you mean the Welsh Dragon is in Kuoh!" Sona Sitri shouted to her childhood friend. "I don't believe it! The Fallen really want to get into a war!"

Akeno began pouring tea for everyone present, of which there were quite a few. The two nobility had gathered to discuss the powerful being that had finished off Kokabiel quickly.

"Why do you suppose that? I don't think Azazel's old man wants to start a war."

"You!"

Sona created, out of shock and instinct, a water dragon and threw it toward the Sekiryuutei who simply blew some air. The water dragon froze, falling to the ground and shattering into a thousand pieces.

"Not bad, I can tell you're Serafall's sister... too bad you can't control ice like your sister," Issei said as he smiled, though it seemed the rest didn't. "Wow, looks like you guys are a little too alert."

[After appearing out of nowhere and scaring them to death... this is an expected reaction.]

"I guess you have a point, Ddraig," Issei replied to the dragon. "Well, I came here because of a request from Azazel. It seems Sirzechs wants me to babysit his younger sister, so I'm going to be staying here for a while."

"Ridiculous, my brother wouldn't accept help from the leader of the Fallen!" The Gremory heiress hit her desk in fury at the humiliation.

"Well, it's not like I'd want to help you either." Issei shrugged.

"And how can an ally of the fallen help us?" Akeno asked with an almost venomous tone.

"Well... seeing how pathetically weak you guys are... it shouldn't be too hard to help you." Issei smiled at the hateful glares directed at him. "None of you would survive in a real fight. Imagine what would have happened if Kokabiel wasn't a jerk."

"Are you implying that my nobility are weak?" Rias asked angrily.

"Yes, they are weak," Issei said. "However, that doesn't mean they don't have some potential. But just because they have some potential doesn't mean they are strong. And to get stronger it's not enough just to train a little, but to accept yourself and realize what you're really capable of doing."

"Sitri nobility is just the opposite," Issei explained. "They are not weak as such, I am simply unable to find extraordinary talent in any of them."

"How?" now it was Sona who asked angrily.

"You strategically chose your servants to strictly perform their duties, not a bad idea. I'm not saying they're bad, nor that you can't go far with them. I'm just saying that there's nothing special about them and that without a perfect strategy you're very likely to fall easily defeated against opponents of equal caliber to them. And, of course, no matter how good a strategy you have, you should know that that's nothing against absolute power."

Sona knew that better than anyone. Not for nothing was her sister one of the 4 Maou.

"Damn you!" Someone shouted.

Issei sighed as he dodged the blow.

"And that was?" Issei asked.

"For taunting Kaichou and my companions!" Saji summoned his Sacred Gear and a sort of small lizard-like thing appeared in his hand... immediately a sort of rope came out and attached itself to Issei's right arm.

"Absorption line... interesting, and at the same time insignificant," Issei said as he looked at the rope. He looked at Saji and smiled as he saw that the boy was seriously trying to fight him.

"What are you laughing at, I won't let you keep mockingKaichou!"

[BOOST]

The Boosted Gear appeared in Issei's left hand and forcefully pulled the rope taut, causing Saji to lose his balance. He then moved the rope so that it wrapped around the boy's neck, causing the boy to start choking on his own Sacred Gear.

"Stop, I understood what you meant, please don't hurt him!" Sitri's heiress pleaded.

[TRANSFER]

The rope was unable to withstand the aura Issei had transferred to it and dissolved, causing Saji to fall to the ground unconscious.
