Chapter 66: 66 - Kids Training
Before going to his home, Poseidon met some familiar faces,'' Apollo!Artemis!''
Poseidon got closer to them, '' I see you are both more powerful than before I left. Apollo even than normal.''
Apollo flexed his muscled, '' The training with Ra was worth it.''
Before going to the Norse Realm, Poseidon asked Ra to train Apollo, seeing as they have almost the same powers.
'' It's good to see you both again.'' Poseidon was glad his family was getting stronger. They would need every bit of power they can get.
Artemis nodded, '' It's good to see you back.''
Athena and Artemis talked with each other, while Poseidon and Apollo caught up for a few minutes. The couples said goodbye to each other and left for their respective homes.
'' I see everyone grew by a lot in the time I was gone. The kids got more mature and the adult grew more powerful. That's good.'' Poseidon was glad.
Mind you, the rate they grew in power was amazing. Poseidon went away and got back in less than 2 years, and in this period, all Gods grew their powers by at least 20%.
' If we had more time, we could face Chaos head-on. But based on what Yggdrasil said, we only have one year. While it's not enough, we must try our best.'
'' We didn't stop growing. We knew the threat ahead and prepared ourselves the best we could.'' Athena was the one who forced everyone to train even harder than normal. After what happened to Egipty, she didn't want to take any chances.
'' I thank you for that.'' Poseidon knew his wife was competent, but she really exceeded his expectations by a lot.
'' Love, we are on the same boat. We just did what we could at that time.''
By the time the couple arrived home, Neptune and Minerva were already there. '' We finished helping the refugees and came back home.''
'' You did well.''
The family spent the next couple of hours talking. The majority of the time it was the kids asking Poseidon about his adventures in the other realms.
'' So your Dad faced this giant octopus monster Cthulhu. We know him as one of Chaos' leaders, and he's extremely powerful. So powerful in fact, both our fights ended in a draw.''
'' But Dad, Mom said you lost to this Cthulhu before.'' Minerva was confused now. The information her father passed wasn't the same as her mom's.
Poseidon glared at Athena, who smirked and looked away. He then proceed to look at Minerva, '' It was a draw.''
'' But Dad, you even had a scar on your chest. That wound doesn't look like it came from a draw.''
Poseidon looked down and saw a small part of his scar was visible. Still, he said once more, '' A draw.''
'' But-''
'' Draw.''
Minerva sighed, '' Okay Dad... You are amazing to fight this ... Cthulhu to a draw!''
Poseidon looked pleased, '' In fact, we fought 2 times and in the last one, I almost managed to defeat him.''
'' WOW, you're amazing!'' Neptune also started to praise his dad.
'' HAHAHA, of course I am!''
Poseidon then told them about Jörmungandr, '' We have an ally that's a snake. But not just a normal snake, his race is a Giant, one of the many in the Norse Realm, and he is ... well, Giant. I'm talking about more than 1000 meters long! He's many more times bigger than a Kraken!''
'' WOW!''
'' Yeah, he should be arriving here soon. You should visit him when he arrives.'' Jörmungandr was late to the party because he was protecting the rear end of the expedition. In a few hours, he should arrive in the Greek Realm.
'' Any more stories?''
'' Of course, I have!''
Athena watched as her husband spend the next hours talking to his children. He continued until they fell asleep.
'' Ah, I missed this!'' Poseidon was happy.
'' And I missed you.'' Seeing as the children were sleeping, Athena sat on Poseidon's lap and started to kiss him.
He broke the kiss after a few seconds. Athena asked, '' What's wrong?''
'' I'm feeling guilty.''
'' About?''
'' Having slept with other people. I know you gave permission, but it's still weird for me.''
Athena smiled at her husband, '' You see before you lost your memories, you were all in polygamy.''
Poseidon was surprised, '' I was?''
Athena nodded, '' You were. You even had some mortal lovers here and there, but for some reason, you never married anyone.''
' So old Poseidon fooled around...' '' I was waiting for the right person to marry.'' Poseidon didn't miss the chance to boost Athena's ego.
It worked, as Athena kissed him once more. She stopped and continued talking, '' I don't mind you sleeping with others. I know people in your position, Kind of Gods, will have to make some 'sacrifices', to maintain peace and status quo with the others.''
'' I even think it took too long for people to want to sleep with you. And you said both Goddesse are powerful in their own rights, right?''
Poseidon nodded.
'' So we have powerful allies now. I'll say it again, I don't mind.''
Poseidon kissed Athena and started to carry her to his room, '' What would I do without you?''
Minerva and Neptune, who were awake, took this opportunity to leave the house. They didn't want to see or hear their parents doing the deed.
'' Let's go to Luve's house.'' The siblings went to Hephaestus' house but were surprised when they saw Luve and Oepthus outside.
'' What are you doing here?'' Neptune asked.
Luve looked at the ground, '' My moms and dad are -''
''Don't need to speak any longer, we now know.'' Neptune knew Hephaestus must be fooling around with his wife too.
'' Can we join you?'' Luve asked.
'' Sure.''
The 4 children continued searching for a house to sleep in, but each time they went to one, more children joined in. By the time they passed through all houses, the 4 children turned into 8.
'' What's going on!?''
'' The member of the expedition must be missing the embrace of their loved ones. We can't blame them.'' Thans, Demeter and Dionysus's son, said that.
'' But what about the ones who never went on the expedition? And why are they so loud!?'' Hia was also taken aback by how brazen their parents were.
Sunmis just smiled at the situation, '' Hey, how about we take this chance to train more?''
Neptune liked the idea, '' My father left his shield and Trident with us. We can take it and use it in training. I doubt my father would mind that much. Besides, he's so distracted I don't think he would notice we took it.''
This piqued the interest of all children. Hia, Hestia and Dionysus' daughter, said, '' Where are we going to train?''
''Hmmm, let us think about it.'' Sunmis and Neptune gathered. The two of them are the brains of the group.
'' How about the summit of Mount Olympus?'' Sunmis proposed.
Neptune shook his head, '' No way. My father put something called Yggdrasil up there. It's an ancient tree and he said it's in hibernation, so we can't go there.''
'' At the bottom?''
'' We can't either. The refugees are staying there for today since there's a lot of people we didn't manage to relocate in time.'' Neputenue them remembered a place, '' How about my father's training place?''
Sunmis didn't see a problem with that, '' It's open?''
'' My father left it open for us to train, but Minerva and I spent some time traveling the mortal world and almost didn't use the room.''
Soon after, Sunmis and Neputuen returned to their group, '' We found a place to train. Go grab the weapons and meet us at my fathers training space.''
Everyone knew that place but forgot it was an option. The kids went to grab their parents weapons.
Neptune and Minerva returned home and faced the door. They could hear moans even from outside.
Neptune looked at his simple sister and sighed, '' Let me go inside and grab dad weapons.''
Minerva nodded, '' Good luck.''
Neptune gulped and entered. He really didn't want to see or hear his parents making love, but this time he really wanted to grab Poseidon's Trident and shield.
He found them in the living room and took both in a hurry. Before he left he could hear the moans getting stronger. After Neptune got out of the house, he sighed in relief at the fact he didn't see it, ' I heard it, but I managed to take the weapons... So it's good?'
Neputed arrived close to Minerva, '' Let's go.'' The sibling made their way toward their dad's training space.
They were the first ones to arrive, with Sunmis being the third. He was blushing a bit.
Minerva took this opportunity to tease him, '' So you heard or you saw it?''
Sunmis glared at her, '' Don't make me remember it, please.''
With the sound of Neptune and Minerva laughing, every single kid arrived there. Neptune opened the door to the Traning space. '' Shall we go?''
By the time the kids came out, a new day already began. As they were Gods, they rarely needed to sleep, so even though they fought the whole night, they had a lot of energy.
'' Now what?'' Oepthus asked. He was like his mother, fast and with abundant energy, so he was already feeling relentless.
'' We go home and hope our parents already stopped it. See you all soon.'' Neptune and Minerva said goodbyes to the rest, and everyone went their way.
