Chapter 16: War?
Smith kept crawling under ground. He did so for over an hour. He evantually reached the hard wall again and made a hole in it.
Some of the ants ran towards him and petted him with their antenna as they felt a familiar smell.
They quickly left him alone.
Smiths also felt a bit drowsy at the moment. 'that damn brain washing thing.'

Diamon waited around the edge of the forest. A smile started to form on his face. 'so his isn't coming out anymore.'
He then really ran back towards his rider.

Smith didn't have to run that for before reaching the queen now.
He reached the big iron dome again.
'''you've grown bigger "'. The ant queen transmitted.
"' yes, I did a bit of hunting "' Smith answered back.
"' so what brings you here it hasn't been 3 weeks yet "'.
"' the humans are preparing to start a war. "'
"' hoh, and how are you so sure that their about to start a war? And against who?"'
"'well there are a lot of troops heading towards the city and they've stationed humans around the forest, so you probably know who they are going to attack. "'
"' damned beasts I've never done anything towards them and they always kill my babies"'
Smith smiled in his head.
"'I actually was a strategists for the army in my previous life so I could help you, but I want 2 things."'
"'oh okay, and what are those things you want?"'
"'first I want you to undo this mind control thing, and I want to freely eat any beast that you have in that hole in the beginning. "'
"' hmm okay, but how will you help me fight the humans? "'
'what?, she actually accepts those conditions, this is going to be easier than I thought.'
"' so instead of bringing the fight towards you're home, let's bring it towards there home. "'
"'okay"'
Smith quickly explained his plan to the queen and after hearing everything that he had planned out, she accepted his conditions.
And there was actually a much bigger food hole not far away from the queens nest.
' I only have 5 days before the war starts so I'll look for beast that are compatible with me.'
Smith crawled in the huge hole and went down towards the bottem. There he saw even more beasts than in the first hole.
'let's search for things that can help me.'
Smith ate some of the beasts and gained a bit of exp but it was way less then actually killing it, he evantually smelled something that caught his attention.
He had to crawl between the bodies untill he reached the actual bottom of the hole. There he saw rotting corpses and a weird liquid covering the whole bottem.
It looked absolutely disgusting. But he was still attracted to something down here.
He looked around some more and then evantually saw something that was giving of a red glow floating on top of the liquid.
Smith came closer and actually drank it. Some of the other liquid also entered his mouth, and for the first time he actually wanted to throw up but he still swallowed it.

'what the hell is essence of fire?'
'at least I gained something from this dirty place'
Smith moved back towards the top of the hole.
"'we are going to attack in one day so stand ready a the first food hole"'
Smith didn't answer the ant queen as he quickly moved towards the first food hole.
A smile formed on his head 'let's start a massacre.'

The Marquess and the others arrived a the Duke's city.
Daimon and the other 3 were immediately led towards the Duke's mansion.
They entered the main dining hall were the Duke, his wife and kids were sitting and some other nobles
"it's good to see you in good health Duke Weastre."
"it's also good to see you guys, and thank you for coming." the Duke said
"Duke Weastre I'm sorry to ruinen the mood but something terrible happened." said Daimon.
The Duke raised his brow, "what happened, is your wife not in good health?"
"No Duke Weastre, Viscount Allen has died a few days ago."
The Duke looked in bewilderment at Daimon "What happened to him?"
Daimon started explaining everything that happened 2 days ago.
"so a lizard killed Viscount Allen and his whole escort?"
"yes, and the lizard ran away towards the ants territory."
"those damn ants, it is sad that the viscount died, but we can't search for that lizard in the desert the ants are way to aggressive and strong for that."
"we'll have to contact a higher branch from the adventures guild to deal with those vile beasts, and I will put a B rank quest up for the lizard that killed the Viscount."

Smith arrived at the first food hole.
And there were thousands of ants, maybe even hundreds of thousands.
Not much later the order was given to move out. All the ants moved in sinc and started crawling out of the nest.
After 1 hour of marching they reached the forest. Now they only needed cross the forest and they would reach the city.

Wally was sleeping next to a round map. They whole city was visible on this map and 20km's of the surrounding area around the city. Slowly hundreds of dots appeared on the map.
And more dots started to appear until the whole south side of the map was filled. Once the dots reached the 5 km mark a sound went off.
Wally suddenly woke up 'what the hell is that sound' he rubbed in his eyes for a few seconds and then looked at the map.
'oh shit did is spill my drink on the map?!'
Wally quickly tried to wipe the red markings of the map. 'wait a minute, I don't even drink red been'
Wally's eyes wident until they couldn't become any bigger anymore.
He immediately ran outside and started hitting a big bell with a hammer.
He also quickly called his supervisor Dunc.
"SIR EMERGENCY, CODE RED!"
The whole city suddenly awoke, all the soldiers started running towards the wall, the adventures guild bell also was ringing.
"All mercenaries please help with the defence of this city."
"YEAHHHHH"
