Chapter 25: Invasion
The two lizards in front of Smith stared him down, their eyes scanning his whole body.
One of them started to talk, the first language he spoke Smith couldn't understand, the second, third and fourth he also couldn't understand.
But the fifth he could, it was the language from the region he was previously in.
"do you understand this way of speaking?"
"yes I do" Smith said.
A smile formed on the lizards face, "it's nice that we can communicate, I only knew 1 other way of speaking, and my friend here only knows 3 ways of speaking so he wouldn't be of any help."
"but first things first let me introduce myself and my friend here."
"I'm called Cyrus and my friend is called Izotz"
Smith pondered if he should say his real name. "I'm called Smith."
Cyrus looked at Smith. "I haven't heard that name before, so you must be from the outer regions, well it doesn't matter, I'm glad we could save a fellow elite from those elves."
{-"langue smith doesn't understand" -}
-"do you want to tell him about the invasion or do we wait with that?" - Izotz said.
Cyrus looked back at Izotz - "no, after all he is still new and you can't really trust fresh meat." -
Izotz nodded his head, - "why don't you ask him about his level, if we're going to become colleagues then it's vital to know stuff like that." -
Cyrus turned back to Smith "can I now what level you are?".
"yeah no problem I'm level 63."
As he said his level Cyrus eyes wident, he immediately turned towards Izotz - " he says he's only level 63!"-
Izotz eyes also wident. - "then how can he transform?, isn't it only normal when you turn level 100 that you gain that skill?"
Cyrus turned back to Smith. "is it fine with you if we run a little test?"
Smith saw that they were surprised when he said his level, so he knew that something wasn't right.
"yes no problem."
Cyrus and Izotz walked out of the office towards a training area.
"so what do I have to do?" Smith asked.
"oh nothing much, could you transform right here?" Cyrus asked.
Smith didn't answer back and transformed right in front of them.
-"do we have that orb level thing laying around somewhere?" - Cyrus asked Izotz.
-"I think so, I'll ask the assistant." -
...
A few minutes later a lizard came running towards Izotz, the lizard then handed over a oval shaped smooth stone to Izotz.
Cyrus then spoke again "could you transform back into the your other form and touch this orb, and inject a bit of mana into it."
Smith transformed back into his humanoid form and touched the orb. He didn't exactly now how to inject mana, but he still tried something, and it worked as the orb started to faintly light up.
The orb slowly started to form some weird symbols which started to float above the orb.
-"so he was telling the truth he really is lvl 63"- both Izotz and Cyrus were shocked.
Smith got kind of annoyed, the normal aura around him started to flicker, Cyrus quickly caught on.
"oh yeah, sorry for not explaining anything, we're just surprised at the fact that you can transform at your level."
"how is that surprising?"
"well normally only Paraginions can transform at level 100, then you get the elite title, and level 100 is also a kind of threshold as most don't reach that level.", 'there is a special way tho' Cyrus thought.
"what's so special about level 100?"smith asked.
"when you reach level 100 you get a skill but you can't really choose which one because you pass out, as you get a significant boost in stats, that's why you pass out."
"and all Paraginions get the transformation skill when they reach that level?" Smith asked.
"yes"
'wtf how does that even make any sense.'
Smith just stared stupidly at Cyrus.
"do you have any other questions ?" Cyrus asked.
"no, I'm good"
"it was nice meeting you Smith, but me and Izotz still have some things to discuss, you can do whatever you want, and we'll contact you if we need you."
"hm okay"
...
Smith then headed towards the weapon racks that were openly displayed for everyone training here.
In his previous life he almost never used any type of tools to kill people, but he found that weapons still were something that could be useful in a lot of situations.
So he would try some of them out, and if he didn't like any of them he would stick to using his hands and whatever skills he had.
...
So Smith tried a lot of different weapons but he didn't find any of them to his liking.
So he would stick to his hands.
In the few weeks that he had trained he wasn't called back to the Elites.
He didn't dwell to much on those thoughts, but he still needed to become stronger, the thing he met in the elven forest made his hunger for power only grow.
But there weren't many things that he could do here to level up.
There could be blood of some higher species, but he didn't know if they had that here.
Up until this point he found that he was pretty lucky with the things that had happened.
The 2 other reincarnated ones that he had met weren't that special, the ant queen was actually pretty docile as she could've expanded her territory far beyond what she previously had.
And the small boy, well, he probably just wanted to escape reality like in his other world.
As smith was thinking about the past and just things in general he started to hear someone call for his name.
"sir Smith, could you come to the office of Cyrus please, they have something they want you to know."
Smith just nodded his head and went towards the office.
There he could see Cyrus and Izotz sitting before a flying circle thing, which looked like a mirror, and in the middle of the mirror looking thing a face could be seen of a lizard.
Cyrus saw Smith approaching and opened his door, he also singled Smith to quickly get in.
Smith then walked inside and closed the door behind him.
-"go ahead and tell him Cyrus" - said ???
-"Okay sir" - Cyrus respectfully said.
"Smith we have decided to trust you as you are a fellow elite, we have been planning something for some time now and we want to inform you on this."
"okay" Smith said.
"we are planning to invade the elves."

SandWarrior878 So I've been thinking on what path I want to take this story, and after some thinking I have a more clearer path in mind, so I will be making more chapters at a faster rate than the previously slow drops.
