Chapter 19: Meeting Chris Argent [Edited]

Early Note from the Author.

*

To avoid name confusion in this story, I changed the OC's name in this chapter from Summer (Quinn) Martin to Alexandra. In this fic, she is still a character related to the Martins and Baywatch, rather than Alexandra Daddario. She just looks like her.

At the house that was right beside the beach.

With the help of a moving company, Natalie, the mother of the Martin family, was helping her husband move things into their new house while talking to her two daughters outside.

Her daughters were still not sure if they wanted to move to this city.

Since they weren't 18 yet, they weren't really asked.

They had to leave their town, where all of their school friends lived, and this wasn't the first time something like this had happened to them.

The last time this happened was seven years ago, just before they went back to Beacon Hills, where they grew up.

As she stood on the thin strip of concrete in front of their new house, halfway between the curb and the grass, Natalie was telling them that this would be the last time they moved to a new town when she added to the two sad girls on their phones, "Come on, girls, don't make such sad faces. Come help me and your dad."

This time, the move to a new town and house was done quickly, and the girls were still pouting as they drove from Beacon Hills, which is in a different part of California.

Lydia was especially angry.

She was the youngest daughter of the Martin family.

And she didn't care or fully understand why her parents had to move to Newport to take advantage of new job offers.

She was only 15 years old, while Alexandra was 16.

She wasn't as mature as Alexandra, who often had to behave as the older and more reasonable sister, even though they were both in the same mood today.

Lydia was conveying the irritated feelings of herself and her older sister, speaking for both of them, when she rudely replied to their mother like a brat. "Why can't dad keep a job for more than two minutes? Why did we have to move to another town? Did his business go under again?"

Alexandra looked up from her phone, which she wasn't really doing anything with, when their mother answered, scowling at Lydia. "Don't talk so badly about your dad, and no, we didn't move here because his business failed this time. We moved here for the both of us. I've also got a teaching opportunity."

"We'll both make much more money, and we won't have to worry about losing our jobs."

"Can your words even be trusted at this point?" Lydia snorted, having heard everything from her parents over the years, even if not this.

Her mother displayed unusual confidence, but she didn't want to trust her and be let down again.

It had happened far too frequently.

She had to make new friends or try to get back in touch with old ones each time.

While her dad and the movers worked to move things into the house, Lydia started arguing with her mother again.

Her mother was getting angry and impatient with her because she was being such a rude and confrontational brat.

"..."

Alexandra, who didn't want to be there, said, "I'm going for a short walk on the beach."

No one cared or paid much attention to her when she left.

Alexandra had always existed in her own world with her own thoughts.

Her family knew she wouldn't get lost or in trouble on the beach because she had always been strong and reliable in comparison to other women.

She wasn't your average person.

Somewhere else, in a more prosperous neighborhood.

Since it was the weekend, Stiles was either lucky or unlucky, depending on how you looked at it…

Chris was at home when Stiles knocked on his door, which he opened.

"Hey." Stiles said.

"How can I help you?" Chris asked, as if he didn't know Stiles or couldn't remember him.

He had used his telescopic view enough yesterday to recognize Stiles.

Stiles was just wearing a shirt and some simple clothes.

Reading Chris's heart, he chuckled and said shamelessly, "I'm just the new kid next door. I also just moved here and was wondering if I could meet you and your family, become friends, and maybe take a friendly tour of your house."

Chris frowned when he heard Stiles.

He thought the obviously chatty kid was funny on the inside, so he stated, "Are you sure you aren't here for my daughter instead?"

"Allison? I wouldn't mind seeing her. But then, sir, you do know who I am, right?" Stiles said, looking surprised and happy at the same time. "Yesterday, I was that boy on the beach."

"I recognize you," Chris said, "though I wish I didn't... My daughter won't stop talking about you with her mother, come in."

He was worried about how upset Allison would be with him if she found out that he had stopped this kid from coming into their house this morning.

"Thanks. By the way, sir, my name is Stiles." Stiles wasn't polite and just walked in, telling Chris his name.

Chris's response was less enthusiastic. "I'm Chris; Chris Argent," he said, not thrilled at the prospect of having this kid, whom his daughter was clearly crushing on, enter his place.

"You've got yourself a nice place." Stiles nodded and began to look around.

The house was decorated the same way Chris's house was in Teen Wolf, but it was a lot bigger, looked a lot more expensive, and fit in with the rich neighborhood of Newport.

On the walls, there were many elegant mirrors and classic paintings.

Most of the walls were red.

Chris didn't seem like he was any less wealthy than Kirsten.

After Chris ignored Stiles's compliment, the two soon walked into the large living room, which was amazingly not empty at this time of day.

When Stiles saw who was here, he thought to himself, 'The Argents must be early risers in this life.'

Since it was the weekend, they probably got up even earlier during the week.

Victoria was politely getting up, while the smiling, surprised, and interested Kate remained seated on the couch, when Stiles said, "Nice to meet you. My name is Stiles, and I'm the kid next door."

"I'm sorry for bothering you this early, but I thought your house seemed lovely and wanted to take a look inside."

Stiles noticed Allison wasn't there, but he remained silent until Victoria smiled and said, "Nice to meet you, I'm Victoria."

The woman was thinking inside that this kid didn't seem shy at all and was very different from the kids she usually saw in Beacon Hills.

"Wait... Stiles? Are you that new friend my daughter keeps talking about?" Chris was standing there with his hands in his pockets, facing his wife, and looking at Stiles out of the corner of his left eye when she said this.

"Maybe. We met yesterday." Stiles tried to look shy as he answered.

"We met too. Kate, remember?" Kate suddenly stood up and said, giving him a sly look.

"After the nice talk we had, I didn't think you'd go after my niece." She added, in jest.

She wasn't kidding inside, even though she didn't care that much.

Kate was a strange woman who knew exactly what she wanted in life...

When Chris said, "You know this kid?" Stiles shivered for a second when he saw a picture of what she was thinking.

"Yeah, Victoria and I were just talking about him." Kate stated.

She didn't seem to be home for a long time yesterday and went to bed late.

.

Allison was fast asleep, it seemed.

After a long talk in which details were explained to Chris and Stiles was invited to sit in their nice living room, Kate offered Stiles the tour of the house he had asked for.

"Still want to look around? You can come with me." She said as she stood up. "I'm not really busy today."

Adding the last sentence, she was thinking dirty things.
