Chapter 74: Cold's demise
Goku yelled desperately but Cold's foot had already reached Krillin's head and
*Booom!*
A bloody body flew, but weirdly Goku didn't have rage on his face anymore, he only stared with wide open eyes.
"Brother!"
Because the body that went flying with bood splashing all over wasn't Krillin's.
*Boooom*
It was Cold's, who was kicked in the head by Raditz and was now currently resting in a newly formed crater.
Landing besides the unconscious Krillin who didn't know he just survived certain death, Raditz turned towards Goku and nodded.
"Kakarot, how's Gohan? I sensed his aura flare up."
Picking himself and Gohan up, Goku swiftly flew towards Raditz and Krillin.
And while Goku came flying, Raditz looked at his surroundings and pursed his lips, the Namekians were lying dead and so was piccolo.
Piccolo's body was pierced multiple times, he looked like Cold took his time with him but the rest of the Namekians had their share too.
Burn holes were cauterized before Piccolo could regenerate from them, but even with that, the large gaping wound on his forehead must have been the finishing blow.
'So that's what made Gohan transform.'
Shaking his head internally at the Namekian's plight, Raditz turned towards Vegeta and raised his hand.
Vegeta coughed once and began floating towards Raditz telekinetically.
Goku carrying Gohan and the floating Vegeta reached Raditz one after the other, Goku laid Gohan besides Krillin and Raditz kept Vegeta besides Gohan.
"Gohan's become super strong but Cold lied and sneak attacked him."
Told Goku with a frown, Raditz nodded and then spoke to the fallen Vegeta.
"Vegeta.. you powered up quite a bit since the last time I saw you."
".. Raditz.."
Looking towards another direction Raditz didn't wait for Vegeta's reply and raised his hands again.
A large body flew towards them telekinetically, it was Nappa's.
*Thump*
Depositing the dead body of Nappa before him, Raditz looked at him with sadness, Nappa was the first person to follow him yet he was unable to save him.
Bending down Raditz put his palm over Nappa's wide open eyes and closed them softly, the last thing he wanted to see was Nappa's shocked face frozen forever.
Now Nappa was finally lying peacefully, but Raditz felt many emotions, Nappa was gone but he remained.
"Did Cold do this?"
Asked Raditz in a low voice to which Goku nodded his head, nobody here was in the mood to make small talk anymore so everyone let Raditz mourn a bit for Nappa.
Vegeta was dying to ask why Freeza was still on Raditz's shoulder and still breathing, but he didn't speak either, Raditz wasn't Kakarot, he knows who should be spared and who shouldn't.
Vegeta didn't have any worries with Raditz taking the lead, because he might not like it but when Raditz stopped hiding himself, he knew the man was a qualified king.
"...Let's end this, Kakarot, wake your son up, Vegeta pick yourself up and act like the elite you are."
"It's time we finish off the father and son."
Taking Freeza's unconscious body Raditz raised his hand and threw Freeza like a ball.
Freeza went flying through the sky and crashed straight besides Cold who was attempting to pick himself off the ground.
*Boom*
Freeza's landing in the crater caused Cold to flinch thinking it was an attack, but his veins popped seeing it was his son.
"Damn.. you.."
Cold gritted his teeth, Freeza had also started coughing, this fall had jolted him back to consciousness and he was trying to get his bearings back.
"Raditz..!"
Was the first thing Freeza said as he picked himself up while growling through his clenched his teeth, his eyes were bloodshot from the anger and humiliation he was feeling.
"Son."
Although Cold didn't say anything the tone of his voice let Freeza know, he was warning Freeza to cool his anger and was telling him to attack together.
This was something they used to do when Freeza was young, it's been more than a century since he had to follow Cold to attack someone, this reminded him to his comparatively weaker days, which infuriated him.
Nothing about this situation sat right with Freeza, how dare these monkeys do this to him, how dare these idiots raise their heads before him, and most of all.
"How dare you.."
Starting at Cold, Freeza put his palm before his father's shocked face and screamed with anger.
"How dare you order me around!"
"Wait Freeza-!"
*Boooom*
A massive pink energy wave atomised Cold's upper body, catching him off guard at Freeza's sudden attack, Freeza had powered upto his 100% full power right before this attack.
He did this with sheer force of will and his insane talent made it happen, that was just how much of a monster Freeza was.
Meanwhile the remaining Saiyan's were deeply shocked at the display.
"Freeza killed Cold? Didn't expect that, but then again, it should have been obvious."
Raditz mumbled, this made his work a hell of a lot easier at least.
Vegeta began laughing and coughing at the spectacle and spat at Goku and the now concious Gohan.
"Ha.. Haha..he even killed his own father, do you see it now, Kakarot.."
Goku frowned Freeza's actions but didn't speak out, he had already understood what Vegeta meant a while ago.
But this scene hit Gohan really hard, he was young and never saw something this brutal happening, killing one's father with their own hands is something that was foreign to Gohan.
So much so that his hair turned yellow again imagining Goku dying because of his failure a while before, Gohan had once more managed to trigger Super Saiyan using his rage.
And now due of his actions, Freeza needed to face both Raditz and Super Gohan together.
But Freeza himself didn't seem to think so.
"It's all because of your filthy Saiyan's."
"All because of you!!"
Angrily Freeza raged out, his energy cratering the earth he stood on, although his situation seemed dire, he was lord Freeza.
He was the emperor of the universe, the Saiyan's might be shaken from his act of cruelty but it gave him relief.
The stacks were against him? To hell with it! He was the one who made the rules, Lord Freeza! And he had just made a new rule.
All Saiyans must die!
