Chapter 8: 6 | Trip Through The North
Six months have passed after my engagement with Lya. The time passed very quickly for me as it was full of fun. In the day Ben, Lya and I will go to the woods to hunt anything, and in the afternoon it will be a date for me and Lya. For the date I would take her to the Long Lake most of the time, and since the season is summer the lake was not frozen, or I would have taken her for ice skating.
In these six months other than having dates with Lya, I have been able to access my personal dimension / inventory. All the items I had in the game were inside it even have the Jackdaw that I had upgraded to its maximum level using Reales. The other ships in the fleet are in there too, and when God said that I won't be able to use the cannons here I thought that there won't be any cannons on the ship. But I was wrong as the Jackdaw had fifty cannons on it, but there was a note saying that when I release her into the water, the cannons on her will remain in my personal dimension. That was convenient so I didn't complain, I mean can I even complain? I got lucky to be reincarnated.
Thanks to the dimension being opened I was able to teleport just like Azazel did. I do have the smoke effect, but I can toggle it on and off as the smoke is coming from my personal dimension. The sound effect can also be toggled on and off.
As I need to know where I want to be teleported to, I asked uncle to give me a chance to travel around the North and he allowed me to do so. Lya and Ben got the wind of it and decided to ask permission from uncle to join me in my travels, Brandon also wanted to come with us, but uncle didn't allow Brandon saying that he has to assist uncle in ruling the North and it was the training for Brandon so that when he become a Lord he won't be a fumbling idiot. Uncle did allow Ben and Lya to come with me as an extra protection as I'm the youngest in the bunch. Since I wanted this to be a leisurely trip I had already asked him to let me go alone, as I didn't want the soldiers to follow along with me, and having Lya and Ben tagging along was not a problem.
So with that we three decided to travel the North from today onwards. I plan to finish this trip within the next five months, as I want to be back at Winterfell with Lya for our wedding by the time Eddard arrives from Vale.
Speaking about him, he had written to uncle suggesting to marry Lya with Robert, which was rejected unanimously by Brandon, Lyanna, and Benjen. So uncle wrote a letter to him informing that Lyanna is already engaged to me, so a rebellion due to the alleged kidnapping of Lyanna won't happen this time.
Shaking those thoughts away from my head I looked at Ben who has been staying near his horse with me as Lya, hasn't come yet. Looking at him I asked "Is she always this late?"
"Nope. Father called for her at the last minute, she will be here after what he talked with her. Let's just wait."
I just nodded at him, and a couple of minutes later Lya came with a little bit of jump in her walk indicating that she's happy and excited about something so I looked at her carefully. Seeing me looking at her she said very excitedly "Father told me to pick the dress for wedding before the travel."
"That's interesting. So what did you choose?" I asked her, knowing too well that she won't tell me.
And as I had expected she playfully stuck out her tongue and said "Not telling."
I just shrugged it off and said "Let's go, we're already behind schedule."
Hearing that Ben mounted his horse with a chuckle as did I, and Lya looked at me and said "You're no fun." And mounted her horse.
With everyone ready to go for this trip, I told Ben "Please take the lead."
"Aye, my cousin! I'll give you some space to flirt with my sister." Ben said that with a mischievous smile and led us out of the castle gates.
Hearing what he said, Lya came near me and asked "Aren't you going to flirt with me?"
I just looked at her and said "I will have the time for that after our marriage."
When I said that there was a little bit of disappointment on her face, but she tried to laugh it off. But before she could do that I leaned towards her, gave a peck on her cheek and said "But I won't mind doing that now." Then sped up towards Ben, and when I turned back I saw her placing her hand on her cheek where I had kissed and looking at me frozen.
So with that, our five month trip through the North began.
