Chapter 7: Still A Dream

*Amber's POV"

I scanned the old cabin soberly, the ceiling was filled with bugs and cobwebs. I sucked in my breathe dreading against making a sound who knows, I could attract a great number of bugs to myself.

The incident that had transpired earlier had astonished me to my bones if not for the timely intervention of this thing. I looked at her or him I wasn't sure where to categorize our beastly host.

'She' would be appropriate I guessed, as a flower there wasn't much expected of me to contribute.I just went where I was taken willingly or stayed where I've been told to, it didn't make much difference to me as I had gotten used to it at home.

According to the information I've piled up from Loel's conversations it seemed like I was a human in the past , hope sprung up in my heart. I knew deep down inside of me that I could still go back to my world I refused to settle for less I thought confidently.

The beast reclined in a small wooden chair as it creaked noisily I scrutinized her appearance.

Along with her extra large clawed feet and hands, she possessed only an eye on the tip of her forehead weirdly, a horn popped out of her throat.

How could something be so small? I thought In curiosity she was definitely not human or a dwarf? Dwarf! Yes that's it she could only be a dwarf I realized.

She looked extremely atrocious I shook slightly as her one eyed face stared into mine Turning to Loel she nodded and dragged out a dusty smelly little bag from underneath her wooden chair. I sensed a dark energy again.

"Powers I see she's hasn't totally lost them." The dwarf suddenly said retrieving a shiny stone from inside the bag.

"Yes Zika I'm absolutely grateful that you showed up just when we needed you. I had no idea who put the monster to it. I'm sure he wasn't acting alone." Loel said suspicion ringing in his tone. He had placed me on a wooden stool in front of the dwarf.

I felt so fragile and empty I've always been protected with shelter, love which I had detested a lot craving to be free like the other kids in my City.

Now that I no longer had access to neither of those privileges I wished for them back.

The powers they talked about, I wanted nothing to do with it why couldn't I go back to being Amber Daves of before? I'll swear to cherish the little I had if the chance came forth ever again.

"Dear child calm your nerves this abode is that of the Spirits, Wilderville the Woodlands of the Peaceful Souls. No evil can befall you here." Zaki pronounced I couldn't make out her expression but the atmosphere got tensed.I figured out she must be a psychic how is it that she indirectly responded to my unspoken questions.

"Mistress this is Zaki she has been the sole diviner of the Mist Universe for decades you must not remember her because of your lost memory." Loel explained to me patiently in the blink of an eye I spotted a flying mice, Zaki kept muttering some words I couldn't understand. Her legs crossed, the mice landed on her dwarfed laps.

What else wasn't possible in this strange world?? I was intrigued.

"Princess Amber of the Mist Universe sole heiress to The Golden Scepter I command you to arise in glory." Zika chanted aloud taking out the glistening stone from earlier out of her palms. It rotated in the air above us shattering moments later and the whole room got lighted up nearly blinding us.

I gradually rose up from the ground moving higher and higher up until I reached a certain height then the light went out.

My being froze up in fear that it took an instant to actually feel the weight of my hands and legs. I gawked in amazement looking from the dwarf to a man wait a Man? Loel was a human now? And I...

"You must be so confused my child have a seat on the mattress it's right over there.

I apologized for the discomfort My Lady we'll soon get you to safety." Zika said calmly after observing my dazed face.

"Mistress you used to conjure up much more potent spells greater than any sorcerer in the universe. Don't be surprised and have a seat please." Loel offered gesturing me towards the mattress.I went along speechlessly unable to utter a word.

A magical world? Like in the movies and books I finally transmigrated to the underworld. I must be truly dead then but whose body was this? They kept addressing me like I had come from some royalty lineage.

My life was a mess that's even if I had one

anyway, I ran my fingers over my new body I was really human.

I've never been up and close with a male in my life, Loel only had a loin clothe covering half of his body I could see his long trimmed black hair dropping roughly on his shoulders, brown eyed? Yes he looked manly

Such a good physique I praised thoughtfully.

How could I have mistaken him for Peggy? I reasoned.

"If only Queen Arla hadn't disrupted the sanity of the universe by falling in love with that ferocious dragon." Zaki hissed adjusting her runt limbs. She ransacked her bag and it reeked again.

I closed my nostrils to prevent myself from inhaling the unpleasant odor, thankfully I had hands now.

" Who's Queen Arla? Why was I turned in to a flower? I don't know why I'm being titled as My Lady or whatever I just want to go home I'm not dead right?" I asked nonchalantly as this nightmare was tiring me out already.

I couldn't wait to wake up and assume this was all a silly dream.

Zaki laughed softly,

"Death My Lady? Did you merely say death? You should and can not forget the daughter of whom you are." She said as her countenance changed to that of seriousness.

"You are immortal as the blood of the great dragon flows in your vein your father Lord Galdor is a dragon." Loel explained.

Dragon? My eyes widened in horror. Dragons existed? In this world? Me? Daughter of a Dragon? I jumped up from where I had been seated.

"What do you mean? I am no daughter of a dragon. I'm Amber Daves I know it's hard to believe but I don't belong to your world. Now take me back to mine. I promise not to mention a thing to any living human." I panicked tears almost rolling down my face, Loel stared at me in disbelieve standing along with me.

Zaki comported all along barely glancing at me.

"Seat My Lady your memory has been tampered with by the evil doers. They envy your goodwill and beauty which had earned you the validity of the throne." She said throwing up her short arms in triumph like she won an unseen battle within.

"Mistress please put your mind at ease and listen to her I'll put you through on some information later." He convinced leading me back to the mattress. I had to budge after all there wasn't much I could do in this situation.

"Hmmmmmmm The Mist Universe is in chaos as we speak this whole clash started two decades ago after your mother went head over heels for that sly dragon......

She paused reminiscing......
