Chapter 51: What Kills Me, Makes Me Stronger!
We both clashed again. Clark was hitting me multiple times in my face and stomach. I tried mt best to block, but he sent another strike, launching me towards a nearby mountain...

I tried backing off to heal, but he wasn't giving me much of a chance...

Clark only continued with this flurry of attacks. As I blocked each strike, the pain was slowly starting to get the best of me, now even slightly angering me so far. Current stay period is 10 seconds, Cooldown is 30 seconds and cost is 5,000 EP per second. (Each level adds +5 seconds to the duration and removes -1 second from the cooldown)>

We clashed, but I was putting up much of a fight at the moment. Only my martial arts are keeping me in the battle as long as I am now. But I was only focusing on improving my defences, blocking faster and parrying sharper.
Still, I kept getting thrashed around. Clark was not pulling his punches as expected, but that would only fuel my flame. I was catching up and catching up quick... With a couple hits to the pressure points, my anger now appeared a little after the hour mark of the match, but it was nothing I couldn't contain at the moment, so I Persisted further...

Blocking another strike from Clark only served to push me back now. My passives were leveling like crazy from fighting him, which meant my increase in strength was rising even faster...

Clark suddenly stopped, backing away. Only for him to charge his laser beam towards me...
