Chapter 9: Chapter 8
The Fox yelps as Hadrian attempts to sort out his wounds, while Fox said"They were helping Tumnus. The Witch got here before I did.Ow! Oh!"
Lucy with a worried tone questioned"Are you all right?"
Fox with a joking tone replied"Well, I wish I could say their bark was worse than their bite. Ow!"
Hadrian sighed and said"It doesn't seem to have been too deep,I am going to start healing it now."
Hadrian held his hand out infront of the wound and muttered a healing spelling causing his hand to have green glow.
Peter,Susan ans Lucy looked in awe as the wound before there very eyes.Expect for Lucy,the other two were still having a hard time coming to accept that magic is real.
Fox stood up and moved a little seeing there was no pain, he smiled at Hadrian and said"Thank you for your kindness,it was good to see you again my prince."
Lucy quickly asked"You're leaving?"
Fox smiled at Lucy and replied"It has been a pleasure, My Queen, and an honor, but time is short and Aslan himself has asked me to gather more troops."
Mr. Beaver with slight excited tone questioned"You've seen Aslan?"
Mrs. Beaver questioned further"What's he like?"
The Beavers couldn't get anything out of Hadrian,who would just say they are going yo see him soon.
Fox with awe said"Like everything we've ever heard.You'll be glad to have him by your side in the battle against the Witch.If you want to hear more,you could ask the Prince."
Susan still wasn't sure about the war,after all they were just kids and said"But we're not planning fighting any witch."
Fox feeling confused asked"But surely, King Peter, the prophecy !"
Mr. Beaver worried turned to the Pevensies and asked"We can't go to war without you."
Peter wasn't sure said"We just want our brother back."
Fox went his way after that, while Pevensie siblings decided to rest for a bit.Also Hadrian casted warding spells around them to make sure the wolves won't find them.
Everyone took turns to keep watch,both Peter, Lucy and Mrs.Beaver went to rest a bit with Mr.Beaver and Susan staying up.
Hadrian and Susan started making small talk,both of them became confortable with each other.
Susan was tending the fire, while Hadrian asked"I guess you are still coming into terms with all this."
Susan nodded and replied"Lucy being a child and idealistic, she was quick to accept everything about magic and the same can be said for Peter, he has sense of responsibility and justice wanting to do the right thing.While I am most practical of the group, so all this was out of my expectation."
Hadrian nodded sitting next to her replied"I understand after all magic can't be understood easily.But what if I told you there was magic in your world."
Hadrian was told by Aslan that magic was practiced in Pevensie siblings world, while it was different from his.
Susan was shocked muttered"That's impossible."
Hadrian chuckled and explained"They are hidden away, if you keep an open mind.You will find many such amazing things in your world,I am sure you would find them interesting."

Susan didn't know she unconsciously smiled at Hadrian, there was spark between them.While Susan and Hadrian talked a lot that night,Susan knew inside she was attracted to Hadrian.
In the future Hadrian would be her anchor and other half,who shows her the wonder of the world.
Susan told Hadrian about her life and her wanting to grow up quickly,she wanted to be mature and to gain the freedom to do what she wanted.
Hadrian spoke up"You should enjoy these moments you have in your childhood,I have seen many adults completely reminiscing about there childhood and wanting to go back to those days."
Susan knew Hadrian was more mature and wiser than her, so curious asked"Did they really?"
Hadrian nodded and with a smile replied"Yes, I know being adult you will have certain freedom, but it also comes with lot of shackles.A lot of responsibilities will be heaped on you, at that time you will look back on these carefree moments with your siblings."
Susan gained a different perception of thing, while it would take time to accept everthing.She then heard Hadrian adding"I am not saying growing up is bad, just hold on too that wonder that you have as child.Make sure remember all these moments with your siblings."
Susan nodded,but turned sad and worried saying"I hope Edmund is okay."
Hadrian in comforting tone replied"Don't worry nothing will happen to him.I am sure he will be back with you so."
Hadrian also gave the siblings certain enchanted items like bracelets or rings.That would blast attackers and allow them time to escape.
