Chapter 25: Chapter 21
In the battlefield and a Gryphon the Griffin was flying in clear sky, high above the clouds was flying ato scout the army. It soars towards Edmund, who is in full amour on the rocks above the field. Then Gryphon lands down to where Peter and Oreius wait on a small mound, in front of the army. Peter is fully armed on a white unicorn, while Hadrian armed with black armor and Excalibur in his hand.
Gryphon warned "They come, Your Highness, in numbers and weapons far greater than our own."
Oreius frowned and said"Numbers do not win a battle."
Peter with worry muttered"No. But I bet they help."
The Witch's army arrives, with way more numbers than Peters and three giants. The Witch rides up onto her own mound in a chariot pulled by Polar bears. She is wearing a chain mail dress, a gold headdress, and Aslan's mane hangs from the headdress. The two armies face each other.
As Peter looks at Hadrian, who smiled at him, which gave him some courage and Edmund on the hill, who nods down to him.
Peter and, Hadrian draws his sword. A trumpet sounds, and his army cheers, readying themselves for the fight for freedom.
Jadis looked at Ginarrbik and said"I have no interest in prisoners.Kill them all." Ginarrbrik roared,while her army advances, Peter gives a signal.
Mr. Beaver standing in armor, next to Edmund, yelled"Go on!" Griffin's from Peter's side mimic the air raid scene by dropping caches that contained wildfire in the oncoming army attack.
Otmin noticed and yelled"Look to the sky!"
While Dwarves, we're readying themselves to start firing arrows, the cache fall on them and blows up into fiery emerald flames, which consumed all of them. It was horrifying, but there was hope grew as White Witches army had lost huge numbers.
Edmund seeing some escape the flames quickly ordered"Fire! As huge were a number of archers, who centaurs, Fauns fires their arrows. Which as like seas of arrows that hit them, causing the witch to lose mote men, while the green flames continued their rampage and claiming more victims.
But that wasn't enough as Jadis created a huge wall of ice blocking the incoming sea of flames towards them and used her winter powers to put the flames out.
Hadrian muttered"Well, that did cut the numbers down."he looked at Peter and added"This is it."
Peter nodded, he turns to Oreius and Hadrian asking"Are you with me?"
Oreius smiled and replied"To the death. "
Hadrian also smiled and added"Me too." Hadrian shouts to everyone"For Narnia and for Aslan!"
As all three charges, and the army follows with full might.The armies race toward each other, the front riders putting down their lances. The leopards clash with the wolves and tigers, and the two armies meet.
Hadrian grabbed Excalibur with both hands causing the pommel and at the base of the blade, there are engraved characters to glow. He struck each oncoming enemy with power, and he created shockwaves with his sword swings, sending multiple armored enemies flying away.
The battle begins rages on.
While back at the Stone Table, That Morning Lucy and Susan, who have fallen asleep over Aslan's body, wake up, Susan told Lucy"We should go."
Lucy frowned and with sadness said"I'm so cold."
Susan helps Lucy down the steps from the Stone Table. They start walking away, the earth shakes and there is a cracking sound. Both girls fall over.
Lucy screamed in fear, but as she looks back at the Stone Table and in shock yelled"Susan!"
They walk back towards the Stone Table which has cracked and from which Aslan's body has disappeared.
Lucy with worried tone questioned"Where's Aslan?"
Susan looked around and found nothing,she muttered"What have they done?"
The sun shines brightly on their faces as they look towards the archway. Aslan appears with a nice new mane, and he is also a bit larger than before.
Susan and Lucy we're happy and yelled"Aslan"
They run around the table and throw themselves at him. While, Aslan laughs at this, since this reminded him of Hadrian.
Susan with shock and doubt questioned"But we saw the knife. The Witch."
Aslan calmly explained"If the Witch knew the true meaning of sacrifice, she might have interpreted the Deep Magic differently. That when a willing victim who has committed no treachery is killed in a traitor's stead, the Stone Table will crack and even Death itself will turn backwards."
Susan then with worry added"We sent the news that you were dead. Peter, Hadrian and Edmund will have gone to war."
Lucy draws her dagger and said"We have to help them."
Aslan then told them"We will, dear one, but not alone. Climb on my back. We have far to go and little time to get there.And you might want to cover your ears."
As they climbed on his back, Aslan lets out a mighty roar
