Chapter 5: First dungeon in new world (Part 2)
I looked down at Chae Nayun. Her face was wet with saliva and there were wounds on her body, but she was alive.
Trying to fool around and dying in vain, this was precisely the special trait of Djinns of Lust.

When I reached my hand out to Chae Nayun, a tentacle came flying at me.
Aether instantly formed a shield and protected me from the first strike. But Sven flew towards me using his tentacle. He lightly struck Aether's shield away and grabbed my neck.
Because my skin is hard. He didn't gave any damage at all.

Like a bolt of lightning,
Chae Nayun was flying up behind Sven's back.
She swung an incredibly long longsword. From Sven's shoulder to his waist, the sword cleanly severed him in half.
"...Puhak."
Sven collapsed in two halves.
"Huu... Wow"
Then, I spoke nonchalantly while pointing at the longsword in Chae Nayun's hands.
Chae Nayun had formed a sword purely with magic power. The sword blade surged with magic power, while the handle was calm without movement. I knew just how difficult it was to achieve this perfect harmony. Even Kim Suho wouldn't be able to do it. It was only possible for Chae Nayun, as this was a part of her true Gift.

The magic power sword in her hands disappeared. Chae Nayun and I stared at each other silently.
The more I looked at her, the more I realized what poor state she was in. She was bleeding profusely from her wounds, and her clothes were ripped to shreds, revealing her underwear. I took off my coat and pushed it to her. But Chae Nayun only stared at it.
"Take it."
"...Are you okay?"

She asked a strange question instead of taking the coat like I said.

I flipped her over so that she was facing the sky and put my coat over her. Then, I stared at the spot Sven was.
Without a sound, without leaving behind a single trace of his existence, Sven dissipated into thin air. This was the death of a Djinn. As humans contracted devils using their souls as the price, they belonged to their contracted devil even in death.

Chae Nayun opened her eyes at the sound of ruffling leaves and the wind's chilling breeze. The sky was completely dark. Jin slowly began to descend the mountain.
Watching the distant scenery, Chae Nayun fell in thought, 'Sven was a Djinn. Then was he the culprit behind the cadets' disappearances? Djinns were people who were once humans, so since when was Sven a Djinn? And where did Jin pop out from? Don't tell me, was he constantly following me around?'

Chae Nayun needed more time to process everything that happened today.
10:55 P.M. I safely arrived at Gangwondo's Portal Station with Chae Nayun. Thankfully, there weren't many people around.I put Chae Nayun down on a nearby bench. She glanced at her smartwatch and murmured.
"It's almost curfew."
Immediately, I became speechless. Going to Cube in her current state was ridiculous.
"Contact your father."
"Why?"
"You know why. Go get treated at a hospital."
I turned to the Portal, leaving Chae Nayun alone on the bench.
"I'm going."

"To Cube. You can give my coat back later."

Chae Nayun tried to get up and fell forward. Looking at her pitiful state, I couldn't help but sigh.
"...You should really go to a hospital."
Chae Nayun clenched her teeth and glared at me. Her lips trembled. It seemed she really didn't want to call her father.

As long as she had a conductor of magic power, she could amplify it tremendously. For example, her Gift could transform a 2-meter sword into a monstrous 20-meter sword. Furthermore, because magic power was weightless, the transformed sword wouldn't be any heavier.
In a way, it was similar to Sun Wukong's Jingu Bang. The only difference was that Chae Nayun didn't need a legendary grade weapon to display a similar strength.

Yoo Yeonha smirked.
"Some guy was saying you were a Djinn. That you could use some sort of mental magic. Absurd, isn't it?"
After answering, Yoo Yeonha sniffed the scented candle once more. The wonderful fragrance was almost addicting. Because she was focused on the scented candle, she didn't see Yun Hyun's face.
"...Does he have proof?"
"No...?"
At that moment, Yoo Yeonha suddenly snapped out of her daze. Tension welled up in her body once more. She turned her head towards Yun Hyun and glared at him.
When being suspected, most innocent people wouldn't ask if there was evidence. At least, not as the first question.
After all, there couldn't possibly be any evidence against someone who didn't commit a crime.
"Oh, oops, I misspoke. What a funny kid. On what ground is he calling me a Djinn?"
Yun Hyun realized his mistake and quickly corrected himself. But it was too late. Yoo Yeonha backed off, taking out her whip from her back pocket and pointing it at Yun Hyun.
"Who are you?"
"...What's wrong, Yeonha?"
Yun Hyun smiled.
The gentle arc his eyes and lips quickly twisted viciously.
"It's not your turn yet."
