Chapter 2: Two.

"Kiko?" A hand was suddenly waving very close to Kiko's face. She blinked twice, coming back to reality, facing none other than her best friend, Nora.

"You were zoning out just now."

"Ah, sorry!"

Kiko stared at Nora, who was crouching down, softly petting a black stray cat the two came across while taking a walk around the neighborhood. Her gaze paused on Nora's long, pretty fingers. I want to hold them, she thought to herself, still in daze.

Slap!

Nora quickly turned around to see Kiko's flushed face, her right hand still hanging in the air near her cheek. Nora smirked, "What were you thinking in your head?"

"Huh? Ah, nothing, haha... Ha..."

Nora smiled at the stray cat one last time and stood up, hooking her arm around Kiko's neck as both of them started walking away. "I'm taking you somewhere." the tall one said. Kiko looked up, oblivious to the fact that their noses were almost touching, and calmly asked "I thought we were going to hang out at my house?"

"We're gonna do something else first."

Kiko kept staring at Nora's side profile with squinted eyes. She could never guess what Nora was thinking at times like this. She didn't mind though, she trusted her more than anyone else.

. . .

"Let's go in." Nora pushed the door open, Kiko followed closely behind her. Her eyes wondered around the room, landing on a huge leather couch, a black desk next to it. A bunch of art hanging on the decorated walls. A young guy walked in from one of the doors that led to a different room, he was covered in tattoos, had short black hair and a pair of glasses. He smiled as he noticed who was in front of him. Nora approached him, giving him a quick hug. As they started having a conversation, Kiko had a whole bunch of thoughts going on in her head but prefered to stay quiet.

"Let me borrow your equipment real quick, haven't got much time." Nora said, as she slid an arm around Kiko's waist, pulling her closer. The young dude looked at Nora with frowned eyebrows, then Kiko, then back to Nora before letting out a sigh.

"Do whatever you want before Uncle gets here."

Uncle? Kiko confused as ever. Is he talking about the man who hangs around Nora sometimes? She thought to herself.

Nora quickly pulled Kiko into the room with her, closing the door behind her with a palm and sat her down. Kiko stared at Nora, dumbfounded, as she started preparing the tattoo pen.

What the fuck. What the fuck. What the fuck. Is she going to tattoo me?! Right now?!

Nora pulled one of her sleeve, placed the pen into Kiko's hand and simply said, "Draw."

Eh?

"Wai- Wh- Wha- I can't do this?!"

"Hurry, just do whatever you want I don't care. Don't worry I will be fine." Kiko averted her gaze from Nora's pale wrist which was on top of her thighs, now looking up at her, her face showed her nervousness. Nora gave a soft smile, placing her left hand on Kiko's cheek, softly rubbing her cheekbone with her thumb. "I just want to have a mark on me somewhere, from you, so that I'm never able to forget you."

Hearing these words, Kiko gripped the pen even tighter around her hand as her face changed into an expression full of determination.

"You asked for this okay? Don't kill me if you start hating me someday." Kiko bent her neck to get a good view of what she was about to do, and started a line on Nora's wrist, trying her absolute best not to hurt her.

"I can never hate you." a low voice whispered. Kiko's ears flushed, she instinctively wanted to look up but controlled her head movement, Nora's words still echoing in her head. She chose to ignore it.

"You're making a heart? How cute." Nora said, looking down at her wrist, and Kiko, in complete focus on the half of the heart she made. Her focus was interrupted by the door opening as fast as lightning. The young man shouted, his distressed face was clear as day. "He's already here, get up. Get out from the backdoor."

"Fuck." Nora got up, took Kiko's hand in a hurry as she ran from the backdoor, dragging Kiko from behind. Kiko's heart was beating so fast, she couldn't tell if it was because she was scared, excited or just because they have been running for a while now.

It took Kiko an extra minute to notice they stopped in front of her house, both of them gasping for air at the moment. Nora took Kiko's hand once again as she ordered, "Get in, I'll text you later."

Kiko felt that this wasn't the best time to interrogate what was going on, therefore she nodded aggresively and head to the front door.

. . .

It has been hours, almost midnight. Kiko has been running laps in her room, grabbing her phone to check for a message notification every two minutes. She sighed heavily as she jumped on the bed, closing her eyes, her phone still in her hands, now clenched into her chest.

Ding!

She reacted in a matter of seconds, pressing on the notification that was delivered just now.

Nora: Sorry, didn't have time to text until now. Everything's good. The tattoo looks very cute by the way.

Kiko^^: Liar... It's a terribly drawn heart. Unfinished at that... :(

Nora: Lol it's fine. You'll get the chance to draw the rest. Don't stay up ok?

Nora: Night.

Kiko^^: Goodnight.
