Chapter 7: They are Homo!?
"Oh, I have a question." I said.
"What is it?" Sophia asked.
"You guys are Prince and Princess, right? Then why do you have only few knights with you when traveling?" I asked.
I was thinking for a while. I mean, if they are really Prince and Princess then why do they have only 5 or 6 knights? They doesn't have servants with them. Why? I mean, isn't it so much suspicious?
"I see. Well, it's only natural that you would ask about it, you don't know about geography after all. It might take a little long. So, please bear with it." Cain-san said.
"Okay." I replied.
"At first, let's discuss about the geography. I might don't know, but in this world we have eight continents. Among them, people don't live only one continent. Others are inhabited by human and other races. Every continent has a big dungeon. Almost every dungeons have a owner. Same goes for big dungeons too. Only a king rank person can become big dungeon owner and they are called demon king. Augusta kingdom is situated in the Paradise continent. There are two other countries in this continent other than Augusta." Cain-san started to explain.
"I see." I somehow understand.
Moreover, most of it is something I know.
"Our Augusta kingdom is smaller than other two kingdom. Well, that's not the main point. We actually went to meet our cousin. She is the daughter of a duke house. It only takes two hours to go their from royal capital and both of us were invited." Cain-san said.
I see. I have learned something new. So, it won't take much of a time to reach royal capital.
"The main reason we didn't take maids with us is, it's close and we planned to return royal capital a bit early. About why we only take few people is because, they are powerful. Well, from your angle it might be too weak. But we humans are not a strong race from the beginning. Beside, the road around here should be okay because it's protected by protective barrier. Monsters shouldn't be able to enter there. But that didn't happened today. Somehow, the barrier was broken." The cain-san said.
"I see. I do understand that there was a barrier around the road near forest area. So, that monsters don't attack people. And you guys only brought some elite soldiers with you guys. But you guys were too much careless. What do you think why did the barrier broken?" I asked.
"It must be someone's doing. The barrier can't be destroyed by a normal person or monsters. So, I do believe that it might be the reason." He said.
"I thought this world is in peace." I said.
"Hmm, it's relatively peaceful. But when there's a intelligent being there won't be a complete peace. Some people will always try to do something bad." He said.
Well, that's true. No one's perfect. Human will always think about their own first.
"They must have been trying to kill you guys. Because barrier was still intact when you're going to meet your cousin." I said.
"Yeah, I think so too. They tried to harm us. But why would they want to do that?" He said.
"Isn't it obvious? They wanted to kill you because they wanted to be the next king." I said.
Hearing my words, Cain thought a little and smiled,
"It can be the reason but I don't think so."
"Why?" I asked.
"It's simple. In our world, you can't just become a king even if you born in royal family as a first born child." He revealed.
It surprised me a little. I means in Mediaeval times, it was normal for a person to be a next king if he born first. Is it different there?
"Why?" I asked.
"You see. In this world, Demon kings are existence like a God. They are the true leader of this world. They do say that we have equal relationship and they do treat us as equal. But people believes in them more than a God. I did said that every continent has a big dungeons right? They are called Great dungeons. In our Paradise Continent, the leader of the Angel race is the one who is the owner of that dungeon. So, in our continent Angel Chief is like a God-like existence. You will hardly find someone who doesn't obey her command. In return, she guaranteed the peace and prosperity. So, even if you are a first born royal, if she find out that you're not cut out to be a king, she won't give you a permission to be a king. If she generally doesn't permit you, general public will definitely rebel against you. So, someone wouldn't dare to harm us. It's just I am clueless about the situation. Well, I will contact with father." Cain-san answered.
I see. So, Demon kings are like the true king of this world. I need to know about detailed geography and other stuff after I return my true home and met my family.
"About the knights that come with you guys, how much powerful are they? I mean, they didn't looked powerful yet you guys believe in them too much." I said.
"To be honest, our Augusta kingdom is weakest among the three country in this continent and smallest. Among our elite soldiers, they are powerful and they are our bodyguards." Cain-san said.
I guess, they are powerful but not the strongest in the kingdom. They are just powerful enough to be royal guard. They are not participating in the actual fights until Cain-san or Sophia is in danger. That doesn't mean that they are weak. They are strong but not strongest. They are strong enough to protect.
"Wait, shouldn't Sophia have at least one female bodyguard?" I asked.
"I have my own maids. I just didn't bring them today with me. Otherwise, they always follow me. Besides, these knights are totally not into women. They are homo." Sophia revealed a shocking truth.
"Wait, then why were they looking at me when I was naked?" I asked.
Hearing my question, Cain-san blushed.
Don't blush, it's creepy.
