Chapter 9: The Royal Palace
"New Vinnie is relatively a new port city and our capital. It situated besides The Ocean of Readby. This town is made about 62 years ago.. Then we transferred our capital here. Because it's situated besides the Ocean, you can find various kinds of fish here." Sophia explained it to me while ignoring Cain-san.
"I see. It's really a good city. It's peaceful too compared to a port city." I said.
"Yeah, it's relatively new that's why it's not as populated as other capital cities. Besides, the wind around us makes the surrounding a little peaceful. Knights does a good job making it safer. So, that's why everyone is happy." Cain-san replied.
While we were talking our carriage entered a district. It's much more beautiful than the normal district. It has beautiful big mansions, relatively clean roads and beautiful scenery.
"We entered the noble district. The big building that can be seen from here is the royal palace." Sophia said.
"Wow. It's really big and beautiful. This place is much more beautiful than the previous district." I said with flashing eyes.
"That place was commoners district. This one is noble district. You can just guess by it's environment." Sophia said.
After that our carriage entered the royal palace. The royal palace is much more big and beautiful than I imagined. Knights and servants are doing their job. This palace is much more peaceful than any other place. Our carriage stopped in front of the palace. After that Cain-san opened the door. Three figure were visible in front of the carriage. One elderly person in a butler dress and two maid behind him.
"Welcome home, My lord, my lady." The butler said while bowing.
Maids bowed too.
"I am home." Cain and Sophia replied.
"My lord, this person is?" the butler asked about me while I was getting out of the carriage.
"Oh, let me introduce him to you. His name is Butler. As you can guess, he is a butler and this is Serene-sama, an angel." Cain-san introduced us.
Wait, his name is butler? Why? I mean what kind a name is it?
"Nice to meet you, Serere-sama." Butler greeted me.
"Nice to meet you too. Umm Butler-san, is butler your real name?" I asked with a little bit hesitation.
"I am sorry to inform you that it is. I know that it's a strange name. But I can't do anything about it." he replied with a expressionless face.
"I am sorry. But I think the one who gave you this name has problem in his head." I said.
"I think so too. By the way, it was the your Majesty, The previous king." He agreed.
What? It was the previous king who named him like that? But why would a king do something like that. Beside, don't agree with me, you might lose your job.
"I will explain about your name to Serene-sama. In the meantime, could you inform father that I want to meet him. It's something urgent." Cain-san entered his nose between our talk.
"Yes, my lord." saying that Butler left.
"I should inform about you. But before that you should wash yourself. These maid will help you." Saying that Cain-san left towards the direction where the Butler goes.
"Now then Serene, please follow me. I will show you the room." Sophia said.
"Ok." Saying that I started to follow Sophia.
Actually, the maids were showing us the room.
"By the way, Cain-san forget to tell me about Butler-san." I said to Sophia.
"Well, he has to report the whole thing." Sophia said.
"I see."
"About butler it's not really an interesting matter. Butler's family was servants of our royal family from a long ago. They are very loyal. So, when a child was born in their family, they will always ask king to give them a name. Same goes with Butler's case. When Butler's father came to the king and request the king to give a name, the king was busy with paperwork. So, he said it would be Butler. After that they foolishly named him as Butler. That's all." Sophia explained.
"I see. It's not as interesting as I thought it would be. Well, it's interesting enough." I said.
"Yeah. Okay. This will be your room for now. Please wash your face. After that, King might summon you. Please get ready." Sophia said.
When we were talking, we already reached out destination. Sophia asked me to get ready.
"Thank you, Sophia." I thanked her.
"It's okay." Sophia said to me with a smile.
After that, Sophia left.
A maid followed Sophia and another one is standing beside me.
"Serene-sama, I will be waiting outside. Please, call me if you need anything. Also, there's a attached bath with your room. There's also towel in the changing room." The maid explained it to me.
"Okay, I understand. Thank you." I thanked her.
"You don't have to thank me. Please call me anytime you need." She said.
"Okay." saying that I entered the room. The room was spacious itself. The bad were large.
In my previous world, I could only afford one person bed. But this bed is large enough to sleep with at least four people. I guess, it's really a royal palace. This palace is really large. I haven't seen a large mansion like this in my previous world. I mean, I have never been to.
I could see a door inside the room. This door must be leads to toilet and bath. I opened the door. There was two door inside. I opened the door which leads to bath. I went inside and wash my face. I wanted to bath. But it seems I don't have a spare clothes to wear. So, I will refrain from doing it. After washing my face, I went to the room and laid down to the bed. It's so warm and soft. I feel like sleeping. Oh, before that, I forgot to check myself in the mirror. There was a big mirror in the room. So, I went beside that mirror and looked at it.
