Chapter 11: We are being stingy
"We have already sent an email to the Angel Queen-Sama informing about you. I think your parents will visit within one or two hours. So, please don't worry. You should eat something and take a rest." The king said.
"I understand. Thank you very much. But do you know about my family?" I asked.
"To be honest, they haven't replied yet. Angel Queen-sama is really busy after all. But I think they will contact anytime soon. So, I don't really know about your family yet. All the thing we said was our pure speculation. I have some idea who could it be. But I don't want to rise your hope up too much." the king replied.
"Thank you very much." I thanked him.
"Oh, Serene-sama. Have you eaten something?" Queen Katherine asked.
"No. I have drank water. " I replied.
To be honest, I am hungry right now. But I think it's rude to ask someone to give me some food, when I am already imposing myself to them.
"Thank God. To be honest, we wanted to offer you some food. But I am sorry you might noticed that we haven't offer you anything. There's a reason for that. When an angel born, it is said that Angel Queen-Sama will offer her the first meal. I don't know about its contents but it's a special food made from some special ingredients. According to angels if an angel take that food as her first meal, she will be healthy and it will help you to cultivate without having much of a problem. So, I am sorry but would you please endure for a while?" She told me.
I see, so it's about the first food. If I eat that meal, it will help me to increase my physical endure and it will help me becoming stronger. It's not like it will make me stronger but it will at least help me to do it. I don't know how. Let's ask about it.
"How would it help with my cultivation." I asked.

"I see. I will take some rest then." I replied.
"Yeah. You should take rest. We are really sorry that we couldn't provide you with the best hospitality. But we will definitely won't let you go." The Queen said.

After that I left the room and returned to my room. I laid down on the bed and before I knew it, I fell asleep.

After Serene-sama left, I left the room too. I am now in front of my little sisters room.
*Knock *Knock
"Yes." Sophia replied from inside.
"It's me." I answered.
"Okay, come in." She replied.
I opened the door and get inside. Sophia was writing something on paper. Seeing me entering the room, she stopped writing and asked,
"So, what do you want?"
"Um, you see. I feel like Serene-sama doesn't have a good opinion on me. She somehow doesn't like me." I said.
Yeah, I have been thinking for a while. But I feel like she doesn't have interest in me. She talks with my sister happily but when she talks to me, I feel like she doesn't want to.
"Well, isn't it normal. Even I wouldn't have interest in the person like you. You talk too much." She replied.
She looked like a little bit uninterested in this topic.
"You see, almost every girl in our country wants to be my wife. They seems to look at me with the eyes full of desire. But Serene-sama seems different. I know that she is an angel race. A superior and powerful one. But I can't help it. I fell for her after all." I admitted.
"If you know that much, then just don't fall." she told me.
"I can't help it. She is the most beautiful person I have ever met. She is beautiful, she doesn't talk too much. Her expression hardly can be seen. I just can't help it." I told about my feelings.
"I can understand that much. But I will only give you one advice that is to give up." My sister told me.
"Why?" I asked.
"Umm, have you ever wondered why demon kings or their direct subordinates doesn't really visit us? It's because of our hospitality. We are too much close fisted to be an royal family. Nobles in our country thinks too much about themselves. That's why demon Kings doesn't really want to make connections. You see, after my father took over the throne relationship between demon kings and our kingdom is getting further down. We still have diplomatic relations but that it. Do you think there is an any normal family angel family who would let their daughter to get married with you?" Sophia replied.
To be honest, I am now confused. It's true that I have little chance. But if I somehow able to win over her heart, it would be easy for us to get married.
"Why does it matter?" I asked.
"It matters. You see, even though father and mother know that Serene will definitely be a big shot, but I don't feel like they have any interest to get her heart. All they did was some sweet talk. That's it. They were being stingy with hospitality." Sophia said.
Stingy? I do get that our family is too much stingy to be a royal family. But I don't think we have done any stingy thing with Serene-sama. We just didn't gave her food because it would cause problem in future.
