Chapter 127: Moon and Betrayal

<p>"Have you seen? The crown prince was killed brutally by our Angel." <br/><br/>"Yeah. Even with the mightiest force, the kingdom couldn't win against her small army." <br/><br/>"I have heard a rumour, but it seems that the whole army was killed by a single entity." <br/><br/>"Whoa, she might be one hack of a Powerful person. Well, that's what you got when you tried to go against the Goddess." <br/><br/>"Looks like it's true then. Our Goddess has finally arrived in this world. We will finally be able to escape this hellish torture. They will be punished thoroughly." <br/><br/>"Yeah, Thank God we didn't support the royal family. Looks like the Royal family will finally lose its position. They are bound to fall." <br/><br/>General people were gossiping about the Samatot city war. They already knew that the large army had been defeated by Serene. Most of them have now started worshipping her. They were sure that she is their own Goddess.<br/><br/>But there are those who don't like this idea. They are mad to be honest. One example is in the royal palace. King Virendra was already sad. At the same time, he is really mad at Serene. His one of the elite army was defeated instantly. His elder son was brutally killed. Either we surrender to her or we should seek help from the Indus Empire. I would recommend the first one. There is a possibility that she would have mercy on us." The royal advisor suggested.<br/><br/>"Who the fuck are to suggest something like that? I am the great King Virendra. I would rather die than lick that filthy slave's foot." King roared.<br/><br/>"Great king, my ass. Nothing good happened in your reign. You are a tyranny king and that's why we are all gonna die." The royal advisor muttered in frustration.<br/><br/>"My lord, let me go. I will definitely bring her head." the general was seeking permission.<br/><br/>"Only one of her commanders just destroyed our whole army. How do you even dream to kill her. she is truly a monster. This time, we might have truly fucked up." King Virendra started to scratch his head.<br/><br/>"My lord, don't lose your hope. Everything will be alright. Our Chandra Kingdom has gone through a lot. But still, we are the oldest kingdom in this region. Just have faith in us." The general tried to keep the king calm.<br/><br/>"But what can we do, general? We had five major towns in our kingdom. We have already lost two of them. Among those, we don't know what Margrave Rohit was up to. We know that he has been secretly contacting the Indus Empire." The prime minister replied in frustration.<br/><br/>"What is the finance minister doing? We are having a serious conversation here and she just disappeared out of nowhere." King roared.<br/><br/>"Your majesty, it seems she felt ill after hearing the news of our defeat." the royal advisor reported.<br/><br/>"I see. I don't blame her. I am kinda feeling tired too. Okay, we will talk about it later. Right now, General should focus on his troops. Make sure that the knights should stay alert. Also, we will contact other kingdoms for help. As a prime minister, you should contact the Qin dynasty and seek their help. I don't want to depend on the Indus Empire as they are too greedy." King ordered.<br/><br/>"Yes, my lord." both the Prime minister and General nodded.<br/><br/>"Royal Advisor, keep an eye on the royal family. There is a possibility that someone might want to assassinate me. I can't even believe in my own grandchild anymore. Aditya, Prince Ravi's son, might try to rebel against me." King replied in a serious eye.<br/><br/>"What about Prince Arjun?" The Royal advisor asked.<br/><br/>"Well, he is too dumb to even think about it. Leave him be." saying that, the king left the meeting room.<br/><br/>The royal palace was too quiet that day. Who would have thought that a huge storm would pass by within this royal family.<br/><br/>===================================<br/><br/>That night, General Ranjit Singh was waiting for someone in the tavern. He drank the whole glass of beer in frustration.<br/><br/>"Oi, old man. give me a refill." General Ranjit requested a refill in frustration.<br/><br/>"Look at the mirror before speaking. I am younger than you." the bartender replied and started to fill the glass.<br/><br/>"I am really frustrated, you see. That cowardly king won't let me fight against that Angel and he even surrenders. The situation is getting really worse. I have warned him a lot of time that we should either surrender or attack with our all might. But he is just being too cowardly. It might be because, he is getting old." <br/><br/>"Why don't you guys seek help from the Indus Empire? They have a large army, don't they?" the bartender said.<br/><br/>"They sure do. But they are greedy. The same goes for our other neighbor the kingdom of Bayma. So, we have decided to seek help from the Qin dynasty. The Qin dynasty is one of the strongest Kingdom in this continent. Besides, they are very much our diplomatic allies. So, I guess they will help." General Ranjit replied.<br/><br/>"That's the right move. But what if they reject our offer? It's not like they don't have an internal problem either. There have been talks about some of the old remnants of the Han dynasty that were aiming to get their throne back. Besides, even if the Qin dynasty decides to help us, it would take time for their troops to arrive. What would we do in the meantime? The way Goddess Serene conquers cities, it would at most take one month for them to conquer the whole kingdom."The bartender spoke while working.<br/><br/>"Believe me, I know that. But it can't be helped. I have to try hard and defend the kingdom in the meantime. By the way, why is that bitch taking time?"<br/><br/>"Who are you calling a bitch, you old pervert." a female voice can be heard from the General's behind.<br/><br/>He looked behind and saw a beautiful lady with a serious face. She was wearing a glass.<br/><br/>Yes, It's the finance minister Aarti.<br/><br/><br/>======================<br/><br/>AN: Thank you for reading. I will slowly write this novel in the meantime as it might take time to finish this Nexus World arc. So, Most of the characters who will appear in the meantime will be new characters.
