Chapter 38: Flood Dragon Zylrast (2)

Two more days passed before Adrian decided it was time to send another message to Zylrast. The next fish he sent happily swam with the scroll, not knowing the fate that would soon await him.

Throughout these two days Adrian had made sure to continue harassing Zylrast, sending some Boom Shrooms, and keeping the ultrasonic elodea on the entire time to disturb its sleep.

Every time the flood dragon was about to sleep or barely managed to close its eyes even through the ultrasonic waves, the boom shrooms were there to give him a rude awakening.

"Zylrast how was your sleep?" the scroll said as it arrived in front of Zylrast.

A hiss was heard as Zylrast's bloodshot eyes opened and he ate the fish and the scroll whole in anger.

Seeing this Adrian smiled as he sent another fish down with a new scroll.

"You know this will never end right?" the scroll said, taunting him.

"ENOUGH!" Zylrast said as he swam to the surface eating the two in passing.

"NAME YOURSELF! I ZYLRAST CHALLENGE YOU!" he roared as he surfaced the lake.

The next fish came with a scroll as it said "I am Orion, and naturally I decline your challenge. Now leave my lake!"

Adrian would not give the flood dragon his real name, and decided he didn't want the flood dragon here any longer, even if it was giving him a massive amount of DP.

"VERY WELL ORION! I, ZYLRAST TEMPEST SWEAR TO THE HEAVENS I WILL GET MY REVENGE!'' The flood dragon raged on top of the water.

"ONCE I FINISH MY MOLT YOU WILL NOT KNOW PEACE JUST AS I HAD!" he raged, Zylrast then turned as it began to slither into the forest away from Adrian's dungeon.

Seeing this Adrian was both relieved and worried. It seems that Zylrast was just looking for a place to molt and Adrian had disturbed it causing it to grow infuriated, swearing to enact revenge when it finished.

It takes a regular snake around 2 weeks to molt, so a flood dragon would take much longer, as for how long Adrian had before the flood dragon finished molting? He did not know.

Adrian checked his dungeon stats to see how much DP he was now making because Zylrast had left.

Dungeon: The Verdant Depths

Dungeon Level: Maze (15%)

Dungeon Points: 30965 (+132)

Subordinates: (1)

Zylrast had eaten a large amount of the fish population in the lake causing him to lose nearly 100 DP of daily income! However, if you consider he had made a total of around 50000 DP from Zylrast it was considered a win for him.

Adrian used some of his DP to repair the Inn that had been destroyed by Zylrast. It was much cheaper, because the materials were already there and it only needed to be repaired, costing him 2000 DP.

He then decorated each of the rooms with a bed, blankets, pillow, wardrobe. All the basics for an inn room. He placed tables and chairs in the dining area, and placed a magic stove, magic oven, and magic fridge in the kitchen.

This in total cost him 10000 DP, the magic tools being extra expensive. They were powered by mana stones, which Adrian could purchase from the DP shop. They were fairly expensive but they lasted quite a long time so it was worth it.

Since he had a lot of DP left over after purchasing all of that Adrian decided to start building his house on top of World.

He picked a good looking wood that matched well with World, then made a landing stage near the top of World where he usually sat to watch the horizon. He built a smaller house that would be able to be supported by World's branches.

The house had a patio that he could sit on to watch the horizon, as that view was something he could not give up. He decided to spoil himself and got a king sized bed with a [Cloud Mattress] and [Cloud Pillows]. The items were self explanatory and when laying on them it felt as if one was laying on a fluffy cloud.

He outfitted the rest of his house with essentials, leaving out a kitchen as he was just going to go eat in the Inn when he needed food. He bought himself extra clothes, and finally made himself his own restroom which automatically had its waste eaten by the dungeon. Very convenient.

After finishing with this Adrian let the goblin's know that it was once again safe, and they could continue to build their houses. The goblins got to work as they worked together on one house at a time in order to speed up the process.

Also, because they were now smarter than before their houses were much better looking than the shacks they had previously. Adrian showed them a bit how to properly lay a foundation for a house and once they got the hang of it they were naturals.

Adrian looked at his remaining 18000+ DP and decided he wanted to gamble again.

He started straight away at 1000 DP spins considering his wealth.

-1000 DP [Congratulations on winning a Mithril Spear]

-1000 DP [Congratulations on winning an Iron Ladder]

-1000 DP [Congratulations on winning a Letter Opener]

-1000 DP [Congratulations on winning a Dire Raccoon]

-1000 DP [Congratulations on winning a Bottle of Rum]

Adrian looked at this with a blank stare, he had lost big this time. The Mithril spear was the only win. He was going to have to use this Bottle of Rum to ease his sorrows, though opting to not gamble again his luck being terrible today.

Time slowly passed and within a week the goblins had finished up their houses, each one having a place to stay. The houses were closer together, and it was very obvious they all had the same engineer as their design was nearly identical. Minus one that had flower and pink paint on the outside which Adrian guessed was Goblette's.
