At a time close to noon, one could see a black-haired boy fighting on the fifth floor against the monsters by himself.
But this certain boy has a unique aspect about him aside from being alone.
There are five blades flying around him, piercing the monsters he is fighting.
This is our protagonist Wayne, and he just finished fighting with the first monsters he encountered on the fifth floor.
After killing all those monsters, Wayne decided to collect their magic stones.
However, this time it wasn't as easy as the previous ones since frog shooters' skin is stronger than the monsters on the first four floors.
'Huh, that was a pretty tough fight, and from the looks of it, this floor will be challenging. That is good then.'
Wayne thought and started walking deeper into the dungeon.
However, without letting him walk freely for a long time, suddenly, a monster appeared before him and slashed his head with his tree nails.
/CLANK/
"Ughh!"
/DASH/
Wayne parried the sudden attack with his swords, but he was still blasted away by the momentum of the attack.
'Wow, that attack just now, it was pretty strong. It seems there is a war shadow before me.'

However, the monster didn't let him and attacked him again with his three-fingered claws.

With all five blades piercing through the neck of the monster, Wayne was able to beat his first war shadow on the fifth floor.

"Huh, that was a pretty tough fight. It seems I underestimated the speed of war shadows a little. I was certainly not expecting it to be this fast."
He muttered and collected the magic stone of the war shadow.
"However, it is still in the manageable range. The second time, I won't be caught off-guard like this."
Although Wayne was able to sense the war shadow's movements with his skill's effect, his body was unable to react fast enough.

He muttered and started walking deeper and deeper.
'The main difference between the first four floors and the next three floors is stronger monsters.'

However, the other war shadow wasn't idle either and attacked Wayne with his claws.
But, his attack was blocked by the blades rotating around the Wayne.
"AAH!"
With a scream, Wayne slashed the head of the war shadow in front of him, killing it.

/CLANK/
However, he didn't have any time to rest and blocked the attack of another war shadow again while using his blades.
'Huh, it is pretty tiring, but it is fun as well. And I am getting more and more proficient at using my blades. It feels like my efforts are paying off.'
He thought, and with a smile on his face, he attacked the remaining war shadow, this time using his magic.
First, with a flowing movement, he made a palm strike gesture, and following his moves, the blades around him flowed like a gentle wave.

War shadow tried to block the blades but couldn't block all of them at the same time.
After that, Wayne directed the flow of his blades to the rear, and, with a sharp turning gesture, he cut the head of the war shadow with his blades.

Just like that, the battle was over.

He muttered and descended further and further.
However, while he was descending, he heard the sound of people coming from below.
'Hmm, it seems there are adventurers returning from the deeper floors. A group of three, no four. There are four different stepping sounds coming.'
Wayne thought and started collecting magic stones of the war shadows.
"Mikoto-san, you are really good at using swords, don't you? I wish I could level up my stats as fast as you… "
