Chapter 6: Chapter 6
Noah used the ship to fly to Korriban and managed to reach the planet in an hour. He had been mentally preparing himself during this time as he reached the planet. After he entered the atmosphere he caught sight of what he assumes is the Sith Academy. He also caught sight of a few weapons, which were currently aiming at him.
He stopped moving towards the academy and started to descend downwards while the cannons trained it's sights on him. After he landed the ship he got out of it with his attire but he didn't have to move much as it seemed that a good amount of its personall came from the academy.
"Who are you?" A dark skinned man asked him.
He is accompanied by who he guessed as teacher's and the other students and guards. The teacher's were 3 more while the students had drawn their lightsaber's as they glared at him. But Noah wasn't fazed by it as he looked at the dark skinned man.
"My name is Noah and I wish to study in the ways of the Sith." Noah said to the man.
This got him interested looks from the people as they looked him over. The teachers could feel that he is force sensitive from their connection to the force but still, that didn't mean that they would just admit him to the academy. That isn't the way of the Sith.
"I can feel your connection to the force but that does not mean that we will accept you. Did you think that we Sith would accept anyone within our ranks? Only the strong can enter here." The dark skinned man said to him.
"Then what do I need to do to prove myself?" Noah asked the man.
"You must impress one of us Overseers. If you cannot then you shall not enter here." The man said to him.
Noah looked at the man when he heard it. He then looked around and he caught a boulder in his sight. The others looked at the boulder and them watched as Noah raised his hand with his palm open at the boulder. Noah concentrated for a few seconds and then lifted the boulder off the ground while the group looked at the display.
'He managed to lift the boulder effortlessly. That's incredible, did he gain some form of training before coming here?' The man thought to himself.
Noah kept the boulder floating for a few more seconds before putting it back on the ground before looking at the gathered people.
"Will this suffice or do I need to do more?" Noah said to him.
He knew that the Sith are heartless and actually tells their students to let go of nice emotions for power. He however decided to keep it in in favour of getting more proficient in the force and increasing his own strength. It also helped that the Sith mostly wanted to gain more power and serve their own self interests.
"It is truly impressive but there is still one thing you must do if you wish to join our esteemed ranks." The man said to him.
"And what is that?" Noah asked the man though he might have an inkling as to what he is about to suggest.
"You have to fight one of our acolytes in a battle to the death. If you win you will be accepted in the academy, if the acolyte wins they will be given a much more privileged tutelage under me." The man said to him.
The students were surprised when they heard him while the other Overseers also looked at him. But they remained silent as they let the man do what he wants.
'If he truly wishes to join us then he must be willing to destroy any obstacle that comes in his way. This will show if he is capable of using the dark side of the force.' The man thought to himself.
"I accept." Noah said to him without missing a beat.
"Good. And who wants to fight him?" The man asked as he turned to the acolytes.
All the acolytes stepped up with a determined expression on their faces. The Overseer chose one from them, which is a boy who seems to be at least 17 as he stepped forward.
"You shall fight with him." The man said to Noah to which he nodded.
The man took notice that he didn't possess a lightsaber so he threw his lightsaber to the man as he caught it.
"Use mine for the duel." The man said to him.
Noah nodded as he looked at the lightsaber in his hand. He looked at the boy who is standing in front of him in a stance. Noah himself pressed the button as an energy blade appeared from the hilt. He slashed the lightsaber a bit as he got used to its weight before he looked at the boy. The others were confused when he wouldn't take a stance.
'Heh! Guess he is an amateur after all. Now I will be able to raise myself in power after taking care of this insect.' The boy thought to himself as he glared at the man with his yellow eyes.
"Begin!" The man said to them.
The moment he said that the acolyte dashed towards Noah as he slashed at him but the man easily blocked his attack which surprised the acolyte. But the acolyte then attacked his left knee, right thigh, left arm, neck and head, which were all promptly deflected by Noah.
The others were looking at how the fight is going and the Overseer couldn't help but smile when he saw how Noah is deflecting the strikes of the acolyte like that. As for the acolyte himself he is getting more angry as he isn't able to land a hit while also being confused as the man isn't using any of the forms he knows of.
The acolyte then decided to use the force to increase the power of this attack and Noah sensing it blocked the overhead swing from the boy. And while the acolyte needed to use to force to strengthen his attack Noah did it with just his own strength. Fighting and living in a planet all by himself has done wonders for his body strength and considering that he also fought the animals there he is quite strong.
'I should just end this fast.' Noah thought to himself.
He then raised his blade which caused the acolyte to stumble back. Noah did an overhead slash which the acolyte tried to parry, except that Noah maneuvered his lightsaber to go around the attack. Another thing which is to his advantage is that due to using a weapon which is heavy his arm and grip strength has also increased so he is able to use the lightsaber expertly since it doesnt weigh much.
And since there isn't even wind resistance his lightsaber combat is very much faster than the average lightsaber duelist. He brought his saber down before raising it up as the lightsaber reached the acolytes arm and sliced through it as the sound of flesh burning can be heard.
"Aaaahhh!" The acolyte screamed in pain when he felt his arm being cut off.
His hand which held the lightsaber was thrown upwards. Noah raised his hand and the lightsaber flew out of his hand and into his own. The Overseers are more impressed by it while the students were shocked. The acolyte gripped his arm which has been cauterised as he kneeled on the ground in pain.
Noah just looked at the acolyte in front of him and looked at the lightsaber in his right hand which the Overseer had given him.
'Well, he would've killed me if I had lost so it's no big deal. Besides, people die everyday.' Noah thought to himself as he readied his blade.
The acolyte only had time to look at Noah before the lightsaber met his neck. The lightsaber effortlessly sliced through his neck as the wound got cauterised the wound as his head fell off of his body in front of the eyes of the people. Noah had gotten used to killing people now so he isn't that perturbed by it.
Then the sound of clapping is heard as Noah turned to see that the source is the Overseer who initiated the battle. The man has a smile on his face as he clapped. The other Overseers and acolytes looked at him.
"Wonderful. You have truly showed your power. You are welcome into our academy." The Overseer said with a smile.
"It will be my pleasure." Noah said to him as he offed the lightsaber.
He then walked and presented both lightsabers to the man but he only took his own while leaving the lightsaber of the acolyte in his hand.
"You need it acolyte. Until you become a true Sith, you shall use that lightsaber. I, Overseer Tremel am quite eager to see your progress." The Overseer Tremel said to him.
Noah just nodded to the man.
"Oh, and do take the medallion from him. It proves that you're a student in our esteemed academy." Tremel said to him.
Noah nodded again before he went and searched in the headless body and found a medallion which he showed to the Overseer to which he nodded his head.
"Now follow us, you shall be assigned to your own room and your Sith training shall begin. And guards, dispose of that body." Tremel said to him before telling the guards and walking away.
Noah looked at the body one last time before following them to the academy. He looked at the academy and a small smile appeared on his face as he thought about how much stronger he will become from this.
