It's midnight in Thailand and I'm still wide awake sitting in my couch with my favorite warm yellow duvet covering me while facing the window and looking at the drops of water slowly falling one after another, it's kinda calming me down after what happened 4 hours ago.

At Zulu's Restaurant
8pm
My parents informed me an hour ahead before 8pm that tonight we'll be having dinner in a restaurant, I did ask them if there was any special occasion but they just laughed it off by saying that it was just because it had been a long time since we haven't eaten in a restaurant which was doubtful as last week only we had dinner at my favourite restaurant but does a week count as long? Idk but I just shrugged it and agreed.
"Hey princess actually the reason for this special dinner is that me and your mom wants to tell you a very important thing" My dad said with a smile
I knew it. Maybe we're having a family vacation? Or is it about his restaurant?
"And what is that important thing ,dad? " I asked as I started cutting my steak into small pieces I honestly can't guess what is it. So I figured instead of thinking hard maybe asking it would be easier.
"Your mom and I have decided for you to marry Mr. Jeon's youngest son , Jeon Seojun. " My dad placed his hand over mine while saying , his smile still present .
What?
Marriage?
I almost dropped the knife and fork ,not trying to be dramatic but who won't be at this situation right? . I just looked at my parents to see that they were happy, genuinely happy in fact I haven't seen them this happy in my entire life. Not saying that I have a broken family or so in fact I have the best of the best family, we are always happy but the happiness that I was witnessing now was really different than the one I see everyday.
"Marriage? " I asked still not believing what my dad said
"Yes, princess. I know it's so sudden but you're 25 now and me and your mom want you to be happy and have someone who would look after you , love you and be there for you for the rest of your life. And trust me your Fiance is a very nice guy moreover Jeon's are very nice and the family is good ,kind and loving." My dad assured me
"Yes, Ava your dad is right the Jeon's are nice and I believe that you will be very happy. " My mom said while rubbing my back
Marriage, it's a big thing, marriage should be when two persons are in love with each other, when they understand and trust each other Or so that is what Bella said ,but right now I was being told by my parents that I am to marry someone's son who I've never met nor have I heard his name. I honestly was shocked but didn't really mind it as I've never had any romantic feelings towards anyone in my 25 yrs so waiting for my other half would just be wasting my time moreover if my parents are saying that the boy and his family is good that i'm assured that they are. My parents have treasured me for 25 years they won't let me marry any random guy.
Just then my dad's voice brought me out of my thoughts
"Princess are you not happy? If you aren't okay with this marriage then you can reject it no pressure dear. "
I had no reasons to reject it , just the fact that it was just all of a sudden other than that nothing was really bothering me.
He was nice, had a good family & had a stable job what more could I wish for right?
"I'm okay with it dad " I assured him while squeezing his hand a little tightly and a smile on my face, it wasn't a happy nor was it a fake one just an assuring smile that I was really okay with it.
They were shocked probably because they might have thought that I won't ever marry any guy but little did they know that I preferred arranged marriage over love marriage.
"Ok then, your mom and I will be heading to S. Korea by next week to meet the Jeon's and you come there after we adults finish our discussion about your wedding. " His eyes almost closing coz of the wide smile clearly showed that he was too happy same goes with my mom.
Having said that we finished our dinner and headed back home. After saying my goodnights to both of them I headed back to my room.

And that is what happened. I'm not sure whether I've made the right choice but as long as my parents are happy I'm happy. I don't really mind it it's just that it's kinda sudden? But aren't I gonna marry one day ? And if that day is gonna come fast then why not.
The only thing I'm hoping is that Jeon Seojun was it? To be a nice guy as dad described him as.
Oh and I definitely gotta inform this news to Bella, she's gonna freak out might as well scold me and scream some curses but yeah, I'm used to it so everything's under control.
It's the nervousness that is killing me right now. I gotta have a good first impression on the Jeon's. I don't wanna let my parents down.
And about the marriage might as well try my love luck on that fingers crossed.

But little did she know ,what her decisions were going to lead her life to.
