Chapter 3: Chapter 3

James was a collective person when he came to thoughts. He knew he had only a few amounts of time before he had to be eligible to be a trainee for the master position for Fenrir academy. Not that it will be easy or what, without his mother's support even after qualifying it isn't necessary to be given the subject. After all people higher than him exist. It is not that slaves exist officially in the kingdom or what, males are not given the position of power or choice and hence has only the option of being under a woman whence they are being called slaves. A few original slaves do exist bounded by magic but he was not one. There were even men who were powerful enough to have their voice heard.

He had decided to have a comprehensive study as he wanted to be developed completely before he had to enter the academy. Even though he almost had all types of weapons and many books, they were not all the types of weapons and every existing knowledge. He had to master every weapon and memorise every single information possible. His first focus was the development of his body mind and brain. Then he had to focus on the development of his spirit and soul hence increasing his magical affinity.

In the coming days he took care of developing his body by consecutive exercises and drills. The weapons helped immensely in developing his body and coordination but since he did not have any real combat experiences, he was not that certain of facing any real enemy. He ad books on martial arts, the moves and the way it is done the mentality it should be done. Even though he just did all these things in a closed space his determination made him grow better.

Selvin in the meantime made sure that proper food and water were bought to James and James made extra sure to gobble down anything available. He obviously held by the proverb of those who eat more shall win.

James did have problems along the way as he as a mortal had to sleep nearly nine hours a day. He made the focus of his attention as the problem of sleep. Though there were no spells or martial arts in the books, as he has checked roughly mentioned to him, he understood the importance of meditation. James slowly started replacing sleep with meditation following the art of keeping the mind empty when needed and the special reflexive martial art of thinking without thinking extended from the fight part to daily part. He was able to increase his thinking speed and the available time per day as such.

He had also done a considerate study in the philosophy and ideas as his ideal job also demanded his interaction with the nobilities. He also came by many magical theories and was able to understand the underlying philosophies of spell-crafting, forgery, and summoning. He even found the truth behind Fenrir academy as was stated by his mother in a letter hidden among one of the books. The academy existed before the great revolution and that it had a life of its own. As long as it is declared by the great rune of decision as you're are eligible for a particular course, even though the professors denied you education, in your private room the building will provide you with books, forgery and support.

He did not know much about the great revolution hence he paid attention to the history books, and later to the scholarly books. It was said that in the past before the great revolution men dominated over women and the situation was much reversed with men being nothing more than animals. At least the book said. Later with the intervention and invention of magical energy known as mana, and the coming of Fenrir academy the women rose in power as mana was highly favourable to women than to men. That was all it took for a civil war, overthrowing the kings, and crowning the princess the queen and executing the crown prince.

According to the books a man was nothing more than a beast lead by his lust and rage and as women being superior to that and having overcome carnal desires and loose emotions should be placed above men and should control them. Power or authorities should no matter what should ever be given in high amounts to a man. Well, he obviously knew it was not easy to be powerful, now he could see almost all the persons in the academy working towards his drop in power.

Understanding the predicament, he was in he also trained himself in common etiquettes and also learned proper speech and dances. He now ate food in moderate quantity but in increased frequency. After long time of practise, he could almost work through weeks without sleep with an hour of meditation at the end. His mana regeneration increased thoroughly also the self-healing abilities.

He now practiced spells and the use of mana to bind his body to higher level of strength. Once the body crossed the limit of particular strength even with mana, it does not fall back and the body evolves. Hence James did make sure his body was developing such as to be slightly muscular and highly linear but with superior strength.

His body was ready, his brain was trained to withhold higher level of information, and the power of the mind the mana was unlocked. He now had to learn spirit and soul magic. He learned spells, charms and hexes related to the mind, soul and spirit. He learned all the subject to the utmost thoroughness until he had finished all the books present there.

He now knew the complete difference body, brain, mind, soul and spirit and was able to use each and every one of them. Since he has read that most of the magic involved mind, and knew that many spell casters except the priestesses cared about the power of spirit and soul he knew he had a head start.

He learned to hone his control over his presence of skills to highest possible level, he started applying the weapon modification experiments. He started combining the metals until he got a high-density metal and converted it into thin double handed double edged, six feet long blade, two-foot handle-two inches width sword. He then started applying his known knowledge and started experimentation of spells. He knew the problematic fact of self-destruction under a smallest mistake but he knew the things at stake here.

He later delved deeper into elementalist magic and made better ways of creating elementals and golems. He also applied it into the realm of dark and light magic. He also knew of the demon summoning and beast summoning rituals and did it on a smaller scale as he did not had to do I on a higher scale. He knew he could not do it due to space requirements. He then learned the space extension magic and stored the books and the main weapon he had developed into the extra-dimensional space, which was attacked to his life force.

He then spent a lot of time away from development of spells and body and concentrated on arithmancy and logical reasoning skills. He wrote a lot of theories which in turn helped him come with many formulas for his spells. He now understood the extension of his thoughts completely and found out the weapon he had was not enough. He asked Selvin for a few meatal bars and then later it mad into different type of weapons as he could be forced into being any of the soldier class and asked to bear any weapon. He did not want then to have an ordinary weapon of low quality without any power and to be forced into bankruptcy. He even made for himself different armours.

Some of his armours were made completely of metals while others were of cloth types as expected of a wizard. He made even spells as such that would activate in the slightest will to form protective layer of pure energy and to teleport him to a safe location.

He did attempt at time spells but the only one mentioned was one that would warn him against time slowing phenomenon and make sure he is at regular speed. He then did one of the most insane things of all. Considering his soul as an object he imprinted the spell onto his soul. He then did the same with the other defensive spells.

As he had finished all the books and had applied everything, even his research couldn't continue after a particular limit without more resources of matter or knowledge he decided to practise the art of perfectionism. He made sure his power was under control so any analyser wouldn't be able to pick it up.

He knew it would take nearly less than one and a half years before the test hence he spent preparing himself for using the academy and increasing his skills. He had completed all the possible divisions of using power and hence he only needed to develop himself for the furthermore bit.

He meditated rest of the time following communion with the corporal and the astral, among body, brain, mind, spirit and the soul.
