Chapter 23: Tatoo

"What do you mean she's just a woman when we are here hiding like rats because of her and we don't even know what's going on with other associates? Do you understand what you are saying right now?"

I thundered looking at Pitt but he didn't say anything but rather glanced at me like he was watching a comedy Television show.

I tore my shirt's sleeve and squeezed it on Pitt's bullet wound since the blood was still dropping.

"Hang on there," I whispered when I heard heavy footsteps running in our direction. I tried as much as I can not show the fear within me so I plastered on a fake smile assuring Pitt everything was gonna be okay

"Why is it all the time I see you smiling? Don't you have any concerns?" Pitt asked me trying to catch his breath.

That question hit me deeply but it wasn't the time to brag about it personally so I just avoided the question and looked in the other direction.

I looked around looking for a nice place to hide Pitt so that I can take care of the men and women coming toward me.

I let out a sigh as the situation was becoming tougher and tougher with every second that passed and it was confusing me that I couldn't think straight

"Can we just sit here and wait for our death, you know I always dreamed to die as a superhero just like my dad." Said Pitt in a cracked voice trying to catch his breath

I looked at him once more before carrying him into my hands and swiftly ran from one hallway to another, from one building to another. I knew those men count leave us alone, it was either they kill us and take the Trinkle or I kill them all.

Kill or be killed.

Meanwhile, Lucas was walking back and forth in the room. No matter how well-air-conditioned the room was for Lucas it was as hot as hell.

He wiped the cold sweat from his face with the back of his palm and put on the headphones.

"Has any of you contacted Ton and Pitt for the last twenty minutes? The last thing I saw was the explosion from the locker room and they were still in so I don't know what was going on with them,"

All the members sighed but looked confused. They all knew very well what kind of person Xena was especially to people who get in her way.

"Naya, get all of the members out first and I will be checking on the security cameras around. Do that ASAP." commended Lucas his eyes fixed on the keyboard

"But---" Natasha was about to complain when Lucas yelled at her from the other side of the microphone "No buts at this moment Nat, just do what I am telling you,"

Outside the hotel,

The whole team landed outside the hotel and scattered into groups in the search of Ton and Pitt.

I clenched my fists almost hitting the ground when Pitt tapped on my shoulders.

"Can you help me tear my shirt off?"

"What? We are not even that close, what will people think of me? A pervert? No way! Do it yourself," I muttered but I still did it.

I ripped his shirt into two parts exposing his shirtless body.

"Can you put a hand on my back?"

I was about to put my hands on his back when something similar caught the attention of my eyes.

"The cross tattoo in a ring,"

That is the same tattoo Liam has and it's Xena's Mafia symbol.

"How the hell is Pitt related to her? Maybe Lucas was right about him being the rat in us?"

The next day,

I stood in front of the school gate with my hands shoved into my pants.

Today was the last exam and I was determined to pass it at any cost.

"I wish we don't cross paths with Miss Addams," I prayed into my heart stepping my feet inside the school

Talking about the devil, Miss Addams was walking toward me talking on her phone." It's the last thing I wished for this morning," I thought inwardly blinking my eyes
