PROLOGUE 2

In this world, some mysteries were better left uncovered, and some stories should remain untold.

"KYAAAAAAAAA!"

That night, an ear-piercing voice full of terror echoed throughout the entire mansion.

The master of the house, Godsworth, a man in his forties, was the first one to react to the situation. He rushed upstairs, followed by his personal guards.

But upon entering his daughter's room, his face turned pale, seeing the mere remains of the blood inside the room and the maid cowering against the wall. "What in the world?!"

His wife who came after him immediately fell to the ground and lost consciousness due to the shock.

That day was supposed to be the thirteenth birthday of the second daughter of the Godsworths. Many people gathered to celebrate this joyful event, but the party was interrupted by a scream.

Looking at the scene in front of him, Godsoworth, felt violent emotions surging from the deep of his heart. An intense killing intent.

A young boy. No, it was an abomination. An abominable creature. It looked too much of a monster to be referred to as a young boy. Disfigured face. No eyes. Bald head. The skin of a reddish complexion.

The creature was standing beside his daughter's bed, and his hand was covered with blood, holding two eyeballs.

His daughter's face was also covered with blood and she was lying lifelessly on the bed.

"I will kill you!!!" The man grabbed his sword and charged at the boy.

However, the boy was calm. He didn't have the look of someone who felt guilty about what he did.

Slash! Godsworth swung his sword down, with such power that it could cut the boy in two. But…

"What?!!"

Two fingers stopped the sword.

Godsworth immediately let go of the sword and jumped back. He felt that he would die if he didn't step back at that moment.

"Why? How could you?" Godsworth looked at the boy and regretted everything. He was not his son, but he wanted the boy to succeed him one day and become the new head of the Godsworth family. He even thought about making his daughter his wife. He just wanted the boy to be like him.

"Stop acting like you are angry for her sake," the boy muttered, and Godswroth's face twisted with anger.

"Kill him! Kill him! Kill him!" He shouted in a violent rage.

Men wearing suits of armor and armed with swords rushed inside the room.

At that time, however, the boy gouged out his eyes and exchanged them with the eyeballs that he held in his other hand.

Then, he grabbed an ugly helmet that was left next to the girl's body. It was shaped like a bell and covered with rust.

Seeing this, the knights felt that there was something abnormal about this boy. The was a visible pressure, something that made the knights hesitate to approach him.

"That..." Godsworth recognized the helmet, a cursed item that he had sealed away. Everyone who touched it became insane and their eyes exploded inside their head.

He didn't know how the boy managed to obtain that cursed relic, but even so, he had to be killed.

"What are you waiting for?! Kill him!!! Cut his head off!!"

The boy put the helmet on his head, and when he did, the invisible pressure inside the room intensified, and the knights that approached him turned into mist blood.

The entire room was now covered with red thick substances, and everyone felt chills running down their spines.

"Nooo! I-I don't want to die here!" Once they saw this, some of the guests and the maids who came to the scene because of their curiosity began to panic and started to run away, their expressions full of terror.

"Rosa, with these, I will finally be able to erase the Corruption and create a beautiful world," the boy muttered under the helmet as he began to float in the air, glancing at the girl lying on top of the bed.

Godsworth couldn't understand what was happening. He was the ruler of the world, and this boy should have been his successor. He should have become him. Why did it turn out like this?

"Die!!" A wave of knights entered the room and tried to kill the boy by shooting him with arrows, firearms, and even mysterious objects that generated fire and lightning. Swoosh!

To their surprise, none of these attacks reached the boy, and instead, the knights' bodies began to twist and exploded, their interiors splitting everywhere.

"You monster..." Godsworth took a step back unconsciously, and when he looked at his feet, he realized that he was stepping into a literal pool of blood.

The boy raised his hand and the room, the entire mansion, started shaking violently.

Rumble! Rumble!

Then, the entire structure began to break apart and rose to the sky as if the gravity around the area had vanished.

Godsworth's body had also begun to float in the air, and when he looked around him, the entire city also was crumbling and rising in the sky like his mansion.

"What are you trying to do, you monster?!!" Dodsworth shouted.

"Believing in humans," the boy answered, and Godswroth's eyes widened.

Then he was sandwiched in between the debris of his mansion, along with the rest of his family. Their body twisted unnaturally as the stones pressed against them, breaking all of their bones.

"Guuuaah!" They screamed in agony, calling for help, but in the end, they were scrapped together and had become a single block of rock, blood, and meat.7

Blood filtrated through the gaps of the stones and debris, covering the lands of the Godsworth's sins.

Their scream was the only thing that could be heard, at the very end, before that stopped too.

But after a couple of minutes of wearing the cursed helmet, it was said that the boy was suddenly losing consciousness...

"No... I must stay awake... I have to..."

No one knew what happened after that. The boy then vanished. The city vanished. Everything vanished.

The event that occurred on that day would be later known as 'The Cursed Child's Bloody Massacre.' Just another legend.
